Regarding this series, I have mixed feelings about it and will pass from getting any from Lego, directly. Half Im not interested. I like the remake of M Tron, BlackTron II, and Ice Planet, however if this is a hint for upcoming sets, then good. If not then it is a disappointment. If they are going to have new sets, I would be upset if they don't make more of Classic Space ( '78-'88) and BlackTron I sets. If they did a CMF series for Classic Space astronauts ( '78-'88) with the 11 colors ( making Purple & Grey official) I would be happy and buy multiple sets and even the 6 packs. Because they are good for army building, having duplicates is not a problem. I haven't gotten any of the past series because I don't want duplicates. Each figures could either come with two accessories, ( like walkie talkies, hammmer, metal detectors etc), but a few would have a reissued jet pack instead. Maybe all could come with parts that can be built into a robot, if you have several sets. I dont know if they should have a new color or have a BlackTron I minifig for the 12th figure.

I think the "mining for crystal in Space" would continue with the mech, with addition of other vehicles. I would say the upcoming base is permanent, but more base sets are welcomed, especially if they connect with the space air-lock system The Monorail needs to happen. I'm hoping this Space series is a success, popular and continues(with out rebooting) for many years. This Space series is a perfect way to bring back the Monorail.

I think these City sets fit well with the 2019 series. Where as the 2022 series does not with either that well. Im glad that I skipped those. But I might do a color swap with 2022 and use some things with the 2019/2024 sets. I might do a color swap with the Friends set to match the new sets. I also would need to wait until next Christmas ( but with a $100 budget.) -

Thank you for the link. I was wondering about the price. And more pics. -
On Lego.com, it is listed as exclusive. I'm assuming it means it wouldn't be sold elsewhere for regular retail. So what are the chances that it would eventually go on sale/ discount? Or should I expect to pay full price (or more with after markets)

What are the differences between 88008 and 88013 motors, like in speed, power, strength, etc? Have anyone tried both for OE? Have anyone tried either motors but with 4 carriages.
-
Im disappointed that it was not design to be easily motorized. Im losing interest in this. Maybe when someone finds a way to motorize it, it looks good, and have a video showing it run, then I might reconsider. But depending on the total cost of the set, additional pieces and motor.
-
With the new side rod piece, maybe they made a new coupling piece. Im hoping they are going all in with this set.
-
I would think Orient Express want to showcase all of their different luxurious coaches/cars.(I have seen a couple of videos, they're super nice). Two cars in a set is not enough. I could see an add on set.
-
Looking at the photoshop image , and the real world pics, and then your research, the Lego Crocodile is too long for the OE cars.
-
Just like the last two passenger trains, I think LEGO want customers to buy 2 sets of the OE to get a complete train. I feel like trains need atleast 3 cars.(Or an end /nose for those type of trains) I wonder if they will release instruction to combine two locomotives. If not, a well built MOC would do.
-
Are both sets in the same scale? Maybe someone could do a Photoshop comparing the two sets together. For the Crocodile, can a minifigure still fit inside if it is motorized?
-
Is anyone hoping Lego would re-issue or remake the Disney Train and Station (71044) for the Disney 100th Anniversary celebration. Or maybe a "Disney World version".
-
Maybe Orient Express had alot of say in this set. Maybe they wanted a shorter and less interesting locomotive because the bigger focus are the cars. They went with blue rather than green because maybe they preferred it to be unified.
-
I am fine with it being delayed, but I want to see leaked images and some info, such as it being motorized or not. If it can not be motorized, then I could move on.
-
I got impatient. Asked so I could get an idea when anything might show up.
-
So probably October for offical images of the OE set.
-
Normally how many weeks/months does the Lego company release official images before set release?

Im very interested in the rumored black space ship. -
Very interested in this Space themed CMF.

Been thinking on how are they going to do the Orient Express, model or playset. The original Ideas entry was built as a model. But the last time they had a display model train, it was the Hogwarts Express and it did poorly. They don't want to change it too much from the original entry, like the table soccer/football set, which also did poorly. If you do one over the other, a part of the Lego train fans might not be interested. ( I want a Powered Up train with multiple cars) I think it could be a 2 in 1 set. The model is 8 stubs: engine, tender, 1 passenger car. The second build is 6 studs playset with Powered-up: engine, tender, 3 passenger cars. If they could included an oval of track, great.
-
I read an review for the Hogwarts Express and it appears ( or maybe I mis read it) it might derail on Lego curve tracks. Im looking for a new PoweredUp train, mod or included. I have loss interest in this HE. When is the next train set coming out?
