I couldn't agree more with you more if I tried, on MN and Vastus sets. They're by far the best ones this half-year. I plan on getting both of those as prime wants. However they sold out here, the only 2 sets on the shelf are the 2 I hate, Ackar and Stronious. Sure they each have 1 or 2 parts in set that I want, but not enough to put a voting purchase for them. I won't however give any support to Lego's continued violation of Black sets with this hideous infestation of too many eye-killing red parts. I didn't get Onua Mistake-a or lame-o-Skrall for that same reason. I may however Bricklink some of the parts from those sets in future, but won't spend any of my money in such a way that lies, "I like what you're doing with this, Lego", because that would be wrong to do. It would be nice to actually see Black sets again, rather than 2(or 3, in the case of Mistake-a) red sets.

There are only 3 Trans-Neon colors so far, neither of which is green. They only have Orange, Yellow and Blue, no Green as of yet. Unless one tries to pass Trans-Glow-in-Dark as such, which is really more of a Minty Green under the Blacklight. Flourescing a color, blue-shifts it slightly and so does making that color translucent.

When you post those other pics, could you "Please" make them smaller? ;;D It's surprising to see the snakes when the older pics looked more like he had Triffid sapplings on his shoulders, sort of like some kind spore buds. But I likes me some snake. Arrrgh! ;;D If only they used feet that fit the flow and lines of the set, it would be much better. The Piraka Claw feet in DarkGreen w/ Lime claws would acheive this quite perfectly, even attaching the counter on the feet like they did with Vorox. Another thing would have been to have lime chest pices to give more snake belly effect. Perhaps a 1X7 LiftArm and attach a Lime Vizorak Foot at the bottom with a Lime Piece(That piece that's used to show Gresh's triceps) at the top, or even have the lower half snake-bodied like a Yuan-Ti/Naga. Inspite of any of that it's still one my favorites for this season.

Thanks much. I don't know why I thought it was Front. D'oh!
-
I didn't say it that way but close. ;;D Whatever happened to Front's Vastus review? I can't seem to find it, if it's on the second page of bionicle threads then it's not showing, for some reason only half of the page shows. ??? If it's still the area that won't show for me, could someone please link me? Thanks

Nice design, and refreshing to see a complimentory color scheme. If it were a set, I'd purchase one.

I'll second that. I also can't stand Stronius. However I do want all the non-red parts from these 2. The best is a 3way tie between Gelu, Mata-Nui, and Vastus. Also want the blue one. The vehicles: Skopio "Good design + awesome driver - horrid vehicle color = No way" Kaxium = Yes Baranus = Yes Thronatus "Awesome vehicle - lame driver = No" Cendox "Awesome vehicle - lame driver = No"

"Review": 8989, Mata Nui, Glatorian Legend

Nicely done. That photography effect turned out rather nicely. I was already planning on getting more than one of this set anyways. This only encouraged it that much more. Maybe with you designing parts, perhaps you might suggest frictioned versions of those types of pins? That would stop the wiggle-tilting. -
They sure do. Look at their design. They put those shoulder pads on Matoro's thighs to emphasize a woman's hips, plus that foot for mounting the head hints at bewbies, let alone the tiny feet compared to the others. Then with Inika Jaller, first off the Aunt Flo color scheme, then the heart shaped face and eyes, add in the Blingkini and Voila, Chickaville. Then onto the Mauri one. The chest piece emphasizes inviso-bewbies of force, plus there's the mask that hints at 1950's style cat's-eye glasses. Any of the red ones, red only looking like blood, and bleed, women do, on a monthly basis, amplifies this feminine notion. How can these sets not look female? Just pointing out the "scientific" factors, and not with any viscious intent. Just saying, is all. ;;D On another note, it's good to see white sets return after the debaucle that was Mistika. I mean, why have 3 red sets, let alone 2 like with Glatorian? It will be nice to have actual Black sets back as well. Please Lego quit violating them with all that red overkill. Anyone else notice that there are only 3dif helmets in the boxed sets? The Skopio driver and the chariot beastie have the same helms in different colors, just switched in the other direction. Same goes with the Kaxium dudes and the driver of Cendox. Kinda spiffy that at least some will in more than one color.

Same here, but I also use the white ones on the white sets. You can always find some for sale on bricklink. I never find anything remotely feminine about any blue set, but the red sets always do look that way. Apart from Roodakah(not sure on the spelling) the only female-looking sets were Inika Jaller, Mauri Jaller and Mauri Matoro. They did girl hips on that one.

Any chance of that pciture being in another format? Those super annoying .png's take eons to open so they always "time out" before anything can be seen. Plus the size doesn't help either. Thanks

The summer set pics look extremely dissappointing. Too many vehicles and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much red.

I sure hope niot. It would be way better if they were creatures with riders, that would make it much more of a Bionicle feel.

First off, in European Lore there are 4 elements: Air Earth, Fire and Water(interesting how pairing the opposites gets them in alphabetical order). In Asia(mostly China) there are 5 elements: "Earth, Fire, Metal, Water, and Wood", where Air/Void is a force of nature that transcend the elements. If one goes further into the Euro-style there are also 4 pseudo-elements of: Negative, Positive, Radiance and Shadow plus multiple combinations of any 2 or more base and/or pseudo elements know as Para-elements and Pseudo-paraelements, in which Vacuum would be Air + Negative, just as Air + Water + Negative + Radiance = Ice. If anything they should change either: Brown = Wood or Black = Metal before they start going that route. Because Earth and Stone are same exact thing. Unless by Stone they're refering to precious Gems, which is Earth + Radiance. In which case they definately need to change the color for it, and should mostly be translucent ones. But then again, you probably already knew that.

I 've been lucky. No broken pieces nor have they broken. However I've had several sets with 1 - 6 pieces missing, or wrong ones in their place. On the subject of 2009. Anyone found or heard anything about the cannister designs?

Where is this game? May we please have a link?

I've noticed that in some brickshelf galleries Krika has yellow instead of red marbled in. Is this just because of the camera flash, or is there actually a chance of getting these better looking sets?
-
It sure doesn't look that way. Plus reading that one of the Inika was a female, that's only one that looks female. Anyway your MoC is neat but not looking remotely female. I'm guessing that you were going for the Roodaka boobies ;;D but on that scale it looks more like pecs. One buff dude I wouldn't want pissed at me. I like where you're going with your custom mask too.
-
One slight problem. It doesn't look female at all. Red would make it look feminine, not blue. The only official toa so far that looks female is Inika Jaller, in her bling-kini.
-
Hmmm.... At first is a tie between Bitil and Gorast> Gali> Onua> Krika> Tahu ... Onua and Krika would've been higher if they weren't completely ruined with that ugly red.
-
It would be nice if they made those feet finally available in either DarkGreen, Lime, or Standard Green.
-
Any chance of anyone with a gallery of these, for those of us who's 'puters can't handle those sites?
-
Sorry for the double-post

Rockoh cracks his knuckles and says, "What? Yous want I should break yous leg witta pipe? Rockoh don' like when fellas talks abouts him dat way." Yeah. He sounds a bit too much like a cartoon gangster. I just couldn't resist. ;;D

Awesome. Congrats on that.....
