  1. I absolutely can't wait to see a trailer or the sets, though I assume the latter will have to wait quite a bit longer by comparison. I'm hoping for a proper tongue-in-cheek name like "Indiana Jones and the Passage of Time" :)
  2. The legs on the Hulkbuster look fine but then it gets progressively more confusing for me as it moves up the weirdly pronounced codpiece into its weirdly-elongated upper torso, resolving in its funky shoulders. This was out of my price-range anyway, but I expected it to be prettier to the eye. Maybe the scale really makes it in real life; as it stands I find this a really hard sell for even the target demographic at the $550 pricepoint.
  3. The price per part ratio on the Hulkbuster MK2 is a little scary (4049 for $550) but I reckon there's going to be lots of big pieces in it. Personally, I'm a little iffy on the news as I think I prefer the Mark 1 a bit, but I don't think I'm really in the market for a 70 cm tall Hulkbuster anyways. Eager to see pictures though. As for the Black Panther Bust not selling very well yet (based on anecdotal evidence), I am not entirely surprised. I am actually one of the people who think it looks fantastic but it is a very particular kind of item at a very high price. I haven't seen it in the flesh yet, but I don't think it's something that is very suitable to be put in a living room like some of the other recent premium price-point sets (like the Hogwarts Express or the Lighthouse) are. I think a smaller one would have done gangbusters though.
  4. Super glad that Indy is back! The set choices seem to be a little conservative, but as someone who doesn’t have the old ones, I personally don’t mind at all. Hoping for a January release!
  5. I agree with everything you said, but this is certainly the oddest of the bunch as they actually put it on the side of the box, yet for him to be positioned like that he’d have to be ‘floating’ on a trans-clear element or something. I’m overall just surprised at the depth allocation with regards to the building/alley.
  6. I think it looks really quite good from the outside, considering the piece-count. The way they cover up the fact that the building isn’t four stories is really clever, and I think it’ll look great next to other modulars. I also think the interactive features are really quite fantastic. That said, even as a fanatical Doctor Strange collector, I’m not sure if I’m going to purchase it. I don’t own any other modular buildings, and the chosen look without the outer-left side of the building looks a little weird individually. The figure selection and quality is a bit disappointing, especially that they seemingly did not come up with an arm/cape construction for Dead Strange, and I’m also a little disappointed that they didn’t manage to get the window-piece embedded at an angle (which I struggled with too when designing a MOC). My main issue though is just that its interior is too small. More pictures might change my mind, but I just don’t think the inside is very appealing. That said though, once again, very solid display piece.
  7. I'm a massive Doctor Strange fan—the Gargantos set is what pulled me out of my "dark age" and I have been absolutely super-excited for the Sanctum, as I was actually planning on designing my own until I caught wind of an official set being made. That said, I'm starting to get a little scared; I don't care too much about minifigures but both the selection and execution have been underwhelming, and more importantly the $250 price tag for a 2700-piece set is just hard to swallow. When you compare its value proposition to the Bugle for example which has 1000 more pieces and 16 more minifigures for only $50 more, it becomes a little hard to justify. I'm also just afraid that it won't quite be proportioned right; if accurate, it's supposed to be three stories plus the roof which I think is a big ask for the piece-count. But, we'll see next week!
  8. I am not a huge fan of the set, but that has more to do with the fact that it's based off a grey plateau than anything on Lego's end. The execution is good I think; the play features certainly seem fun and the figures are cool. NED-B looks great and the new Vader faceprint is my favourite yet. The set overall isn't for me, but as far as location-based play-sets go, they could have done a lot worse.
