  1. This is a first draft of sorts, I don't know much about large builds but I am certain that this can't hold its own weight. Making it more stable would mean cutting rooms out, so I figured I would post this first! Some stats: 1.2x1.2x2.88 ft 5400 pieces Exterior shot: Interior overview: On the first floor I put a small speeder garage: The left hand side of the first and second floors have an elevator; pulling on the red knobs opens the door to the elevator. The second story elevator leads to the observation deck: The observation deck slides out so that minifigures can be placed, here's what it looks like separated from the main build: The third floor has the data vault. On the left, you can see the winch system used to raise the elevator. The vault door can open and close thanks to door rails. Right behind K2SO there was some empty space, so I put a hidden minikit there: Behind The data vault door is the vault control room. It overlooks the bottom of the data tower. The data spire extends through the upper section of the citadel. I included a doorway for Krennic to come out of, as well as a catwalk. The data spire opens into the final confrontation area: Lastly, here's the top of the tower. There was a small room where I originally wanted to put the final confrontation in, but it ended up being too small, so I put another minikit there. What are your thoughts on this build? Comments and suggestions are appreciated! Link to the model: https://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/7l2Bnz8p20N
  2. the cockpit and bomb pods have been updated, the old pictures have been replaced in the top post!
  3. This looks amazing! If I may ask, how are the ankle joints (30553) able to keep the model up?
  4. Thanks! As for your suggestions, I'll come back in a few days with them! Thanks! The tricky part about it is that the rapid shooter has to rotate around the axle, not the other way around
  5. If it's not too late to join, here's Icarus Horne, an imperial officer with a fascination of ancient history:
  6. Update: as requested, more detail has been added to the pods! Here's a downscaled tie bomber! It's about 3/4 minifigure scale, and has 632 pieces. If you bricklink it, it will cost about $90. There is a hole in the bottom for bombs to drop out of. The bombs are attached to a rapid shooter, and by rotating the back of the bomber, the bombs fall out. The bomb dropping assembly can be detached so that it can be reloaded easily. There's also room for a pilot in the other pod, which has a roof that can be detached I hope you like my moc!
  7. Congrats to everyone!
  8. Wow! could you pm me the stud.io file for these molds? Thanks!
  9. I'm just here for brick built space horses :D
  10. Zam and Anakin's speeders could be the two standalone microfighters, and then for the dual pack it could be an orback vs a final order lander, that way you can keep the creature vs ship trend that lego has for the dual pack. And then for the duel set maybe Dooku vs Yoda?
  11. For the $120-160 range set could you build the scarif citadel tower? I'm currently making one (although the one I'm making is a bit bigger than what could be done in the 120-160 range) and it would be interesting to see how our designs compare.
  12. Thanks! Your entries are cool too!
  13. I love the power blast element used to show the shield on the platform!
  14. Yeah it didn't state it in the rules, so I just wanted to check. I'd feel pretty bad if I won the vignette category that way because like four of them are pretty low effort.
  15. It's a bit late to be asking this, but is the winner for each category determined by their single best entry or the sum of their entries in the category? Like if I made two purist minifigure entries and one scores 15/30 and the other score 16/30, would I do better than someone who submitted one purist minifigure entry with a score of 30/30?
  16. All of these minifigures are great! I like 5C-R4P the most!
  17. UPDATE: I improved all the characters in some way or another, the backstories are the same though. I wasn't originally planning to submit a purist minifigure entry, but I thought up of enough backstories to create five characters. The figures are jedi or other force sensitives who survived Anakin's march on the temple. From left to right we have: Sella Desyk - Sella Desyk is a human padawan. Right before the attack, Sella foresaw that hiding in the council chambers with the other padawans would lead to their deaths, but the padawans didn't listen to her. She is plagued by guilt because of this, and wonders whether she could've done something more to save them. Corvin Cayne - Corvin is a human jedi knight who was shot down by his squad while on a patrol. When Do'sara found him, Corvin's legs were crushed in the wreckage, so she made him a pair of legs that were powered by his astromech. Do'sara - When she was 10, Do'Sara was denied training by the jedi order on the basis that she was too old to begin. Instead, they offered her a job to become a mechanic, which she accepted. Do'sara hid in a maintenance shaft until nightfall, and then escaped. Deng Halcorr - Deng is an elderly human jedi knight. When the fighting broke out, Deng fled into the lower levels of Coruscant. Now, he wishes to atone for his cowardice by fighting the empire. En Sund - A powerful weequay jedi master, En Sund defeated the clone troopers sent to kill him, but lost his lightsaber in the process. He escaped by masquerading as a clone trooper, and continued to wear the armor as a reminder to never trust anyone. I hope you liked my characters!
  18. Nice! Did you use universal joints to get the cockpits to rotate in unison?
  19. A Mecabricks user called Heathsplosion made a cool rendering of this moc with the lights illuminated, I thought I should post it here! Update: This picture shouldn't be used for judging, because it uses pieces in colors that doesn't exist.
  20. Here are my entries to the contest: Purist minifigures: Alphabet starfighters: Creatures: Vignettes (sorted from my least favorite to favorite): Good luck to everyone!
  21. The ship looks great! I like the in universe descriptions, and the second color scheme.
  22. This moc is of R2D2 and C3PO's cameo during rogue one. I don't usually do forced perspective, so this was an exciting challenge! R2D2 is way out of scale, I never actually realized how small he was until I made this moc! Minifigures having short legs compared to real life didn't help either. Above the hangar area I had some space, so I included the Yavin control room. I'm pretty sure the roof can hold the weight of the control room, I added a beam connection to make it sturdier. The moc looks pretty comical when viewed from other angles! Here's the link to the file: https://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/79a84zGma8w
  23. This moc is of the scene where blue squadron attacks the kyber refinery plant at Eadu. One x wing is performing a strafing run on the landing platform, and the other was shot down by the turbolaser. I had to cut off most of the facility as well as landing pad, so krennic's shuttle couldn't make it in. I think after this I'm going to come back to this moc and expand it. As always, here's the link to the model if you're interested: https://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/1k2q8LGnaE0
  24. This moc depicts the scene in the battle of scarif where y wings form gold squadron take out a star destroyer. Here's the link to the model if you want more angles: https://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/mLvznGMmvAw
  25. UPDATE: I changed the door design a bit so that the cheese slope is more flush in the window, so I made new pictures with better lighting! There have been a lot of mocs by other people of this scene because it's awesome, but I think I bring something new to the table with the way I made the red stripe running along the wall. The reason the red stripe is so hard to make is because it's always parallel with the ground, even on the slanted parts of the wall. I got around it by using 61409 and some bar and clip connections, like this: The slope grille in yellow isn't attached to any piece, but it can't slip out because the parts above it are attached to the bar. If you want to see more of how this was constructed, here's the Mecabricks link to the model: https://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/KbjQeN3KjdG
