  1. This was a mech I made to try and see how versatile I could make it in terms of attachments, upgrades, and gear. I got as far as a coms unit, a pair of shoulder cannons, a massive back-mounted machine gun(no clue how it stayed balanced), a cool looking non-functional backpack, a set of posable wings, an alternate lower arm, shin-mounted missile packs, a sword, and a gun that I lost and found later but didn't get any photos of it. I have reused the sword design many times, and I love it quite a bit. I might share the design late, if people want me to. This mech is a year or two old, and has since been dismantled, so don't ask for further modifications as I will not be able to fulfill your request. As for posing abilities, it has posing shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, head, waist, hips, knees, and ankles. wings wings with the sword standard backpack and lower arm alternate design, and leg-mounted missile packs. machine gun comms unit
  2. A gunning sphere I made; the red actually wasn't originally going to be in the build, but I thought it was quite dull otherwise and I also didn't have enough of part 95188 in dark bluish grey to do it all in grey, so I added some red. It was rejected by lego ideas for obvious reasons on the grounds of "large or life-size replicas of weapons"
  3. In the last photo, you can see the sword can be attached to the thigh. I might adjust that later, as its placement isn't great and it hangs down quite a bit
  4. A mech I made on a whim when I saw the Overlord Dragon head on Bricklink and thought it would make cool mech armor. The joints I have are not new, and were unable to handle the weight of the thing and it kept snapping at the waist. I thought that my mech display stand would be able to handle it, but that couldn't either. So I used a combination of the two, hence the mess of technic parts behind and under the mech in the photo. I got a few comments telling me he looked like Skywarp from Transformers, which I can understand. In terms of posing abilities, it has bending knees, ankles, waist, shoulders, elbows(double-jointed for added mobility), wrists, fingers(with multi-directional posing for the thumbs), neck, and wings(which have 7 joints). It has an opening cockpit, which I tested, ironically enough, with Lloyd as a test pilot. In terms of weapons, it has two large katana, and that's it at the moment. More photos will be uploaded soon, and thank goodness I don't have to use landscape mode like I would on Lego Ideas
  5. oh never mind that's how it works. ok great. Ill be posting this in a moment, in case anyone wants to see it
  6. Hi I am struggling to try and post images; all my images files are apparently too big... I got Flickr and tried posting a link to an image I had uploaded but the bar just turned red and didn't do anything. Any advice?
  7. Holy crap that's awesome. What joints did you use for it? It looks rather heavy... also does it seat a pilot?
  8. Maybe I'll get an answer to this, but I don't expect it, seeing as this thread's been inactive for 6 years. I need a new way to take pics, as the camera on my phone broke...the lens somehow shattered. I'd send a pic, but I can't for reasons that should be readily apparent. Any tips on what camera to try to get? Also thank goodness images don't have to be landscape format here; I was screwed over many times on Ideas because I typically build sorta-large mechs and my backdrop wasn't big enough for me to take the photos in landscape mode without having massive gaps on the sides of the images.
  9. Hi, I'm new here and trying to find my way around. I don't have a site to host my images yet, although I intend to change that soon. I came here on the advice of some friends from the DigiLug discord server (thanks Leewan), because lego Ideas just wasn't doing it for me. My builds all manage to violate some sort obscure moderation rule (I had one completely unique custom spaceship taken down on the grounds of a "Star Wars IP violation", which several of my friends confirmed was ridiculous and wrong). Hopefully I'll still manage to upload a project or two there, but I ultimately intend to make this my primary platform for sharing my work. I hope to see some cool builds (I already have seen a few) and maybe get to know some of you people better in this amazing community. Signing off for now -Spectervamp
