Jurassic Park/World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
StegoLover replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Idk if it's unnecessary, but I just noticed that Dustin's hat-hairpiece from the Lego stranger things set would have looked absolutely perfect on Josh (the gyrosphere operator guy) from the 2020 Indo vs Anky set, for if they would ever remake that set in someway or make that character return lol It would look perfect if they recolored the piece -
Does anyone know if there will be any Lego related stuff at Superbowl? I'm not too well-know with this event because I'm European.

I think he means that Lego will always try to look for ways to reuse any pieces for new dinosaurs if they can so they don’t have to make new ones, for budget reasons obviously. But, I do think the Brachio will be an exception because of it’s proportions and mass, so it might be one of the few to have all-new molds -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlsRFCu0LqE This doesn't have anything to do with the upcoming wave but I just wanted to share this amazing video showing a JW moc based of Blue's squad raptor paddock. It's really one of the best MOC's that i've ever seen which I recently discovered and I honestly think he deserves a raise and more recognision. Yes, he is spanish but it's worth the watch, all credits to him! -

If the Brachio really were to be a hybrid and have large molded pieces they probably all should be new ones, like I said I just don't see Lego reusing any molds from past dinosaurs because of his humongous size, and if it would be all-bricktbuilt, I'd feel like we've all been trolled by Lego... I'm just hoping for atleast a new head mold. I've seen lots of fanmade Dilo set mocs across the internet; I think the ideal one would be Nedry with maybe some mud printing, like on the figs from last years (yes 2022) JP set, a jeep wrangler ( maybe some mud stickers aswell), a very small tree surrounded by some mud with the sign next to it, and maybe the newer Dilo mold but with exclusive updated printing, like the frills being red and yellow, and a more darker tone of green, although that could be a little too much for a 20$ set hahaha -

3 moulded raptors would be the best deal out there if that's what you mean , the price of 35€ is fine with me. I couldn't have said it better myself, the Visitor Center set being 12+ and not 18+ really boggles me, who would pay 120 balls for a set which doesn't even include any new species? Just hoping that Rexy and the raptors will have their accurate movie colours, but hey atleast we won't be seeing a third brick-built Rexy. Haven't Jurassic sets always been like that? Lmao Now that it being fully molded is just out of the question, they really should put most of the pieces into the Brachiosaurus so it comes somewhat near a fair size and not into side-builds, except for a possible jeep of course. -

That sounds really awesome, would love to see them doing something like that since it would definitely raise the popularity, although I hope we'll finally get an accurately sized raptor mold. We'll probably be seeing the 2 ford explorers, one being in the Trike and one in the visitor center set, my guess is that they'd include some vegetation in the Trike one, or hopefully the iconic pile of shit Sattler took a dive in. Though we'll just have to wait and see when the reveals will be I've been thinking about the Brachio ever since the set name leaks, and I realised that TLG probably doesn't have a single way of reusing any molds from the past, because of it's mass, which would make it the second dino with all-new molds, after the indoraptor -

I love how smart you thought this through since these speculations/predictions sound very accurate and fair enough. I also like how devoted you are in your posts and you actually got me slightly more exited about this particular one! I assume we'll get Gennaro in at least one of the sets (this one probably having the biggest chance) and I really hope Hammond makes a comeback with maybe an updated cane with a little ambered bug printed on the translusive piece at the top -

Well, Pyroraptor only appeared for like 3 minutes in Dominion, and Para is probably one of the better known dinosaurs, and given the fact that he had quite a larger 'role' in TLW and dominion, it could be a very good guess that he could be coming in a future JP set since he is also the only dino missing from that movie, and otherwise I think it would be a missed opportunity. If it does include another brick-built Mama Rexy I'm probably just gonna keep the pieces, lol I really hope some exclusive minifigs from 2019's Gate set won't stay exclusive anymore, and maybe a bit updated with new heads or torso variations, a new Nedry or Hammond would be very nice (and Gennaro?). A hat/hair combo for Grant sounds lovely, and maybe a new updated hat for him being tan coloured with the brown stripe around it? That does actually sound pretty logical, and I don't think that's a good thing.. It would be a nice addition if it included the banner and a part of the entrance or something. -

Link? Website, anyone? But for the record, this is sounding exiting. I have literally no words for the Brachio coming next year, my hands are literally shaking right now even though it will probably be brick-built lol. Also, I was kinda hoping for a molded Parasaurolophus to be coming in a smaller set to be honest, but it doesn't matter anymore, because of what I've heard this wave has succeeded beyond my expectations, thank you TLG! -

That's why I said that's probably the reason they haven't made it yet, and the size being as large as only the T. rex's body, would probably be way too off from the actual size, even for Lego. Maybe him being slightly bigger that the Giga we have now would do the job, since that doesn't sound too ridiculous. I think a mix of bricks and moulds would look pretty good on Brachiosaurus? Like they did with fluffy from HP only the head (and maybe in the case of Brachio the legs as well) were molded. -

Wait no, mosausaurus is at least on and a half times as large/long as Rexy, that would be way too short, he dragged the I. Rex into the water with ease in the movie. That being said, is probably the reason they haven't made him yet. If it would be a set thought it would probably be the lagoon arena (around 300$ UCS maybe??) , they are just made for each other for a set tbh. -

Like the baryonyx body but the exact same shape as the Rexy one could work, just downsized, but carnivores enough if you ask me lol. (Except for spino) I'd love to have a stegosaurus in a (possible) future TLW set. -

Well, that was unexpected. I actually didn't think this was going to happen, and that there would be a fresh new trilogy, maybe even a prequel to what happened before JP, but nope. I do wonder who the new director will be, but hey, more movies, means probably more sets and Owens. I hope this won't battle the fact that there will come sets based off of JP at least next year, and the speculations about future JP TLW and III sets, since there is a higher chance that they will be going for new movies instead of those ones. But because the theme makes great profit, I was wondering that maybe they could make 2 waves a year? Like 1 based on older movies and 1 on the new one. Although that probably won't happen except for marvel, HP, and star wars. I guess here we go again with the rotten tomatoes, lol. -

True, those sets look very nice, but I think I prefer the last wave tbh. The head mold from 75576 looks nearly perfect for an Ichthyosaurus (and maybe other) sea creatures since we really need aquatic species. What I'm not very sure about is the head from 75575, it seems very tiny for a sauropod, but perhaps it could work for a possible Plesiosaurus(?), although they don't really make an appearance in the movies or CC except for the games. Like I mentioned before, I'm actually hyped for the upcoming JP wave coming out next year, and i've started working on some set ideas drawn on paper. I think I'll share some next week and hope to see what you all think about it. -

https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-jurassic-park-30th-anniversary-2023/ Ok, I may be a bit late, but it seems that it has been basically confirmed that we will be getting JP sets next year! This is literally such great news for JP/JW, because this is already saying a lot about in which direction TLG wants to take the theme. -

Maybe that would fit in nicely with a Gentle giants petting zoo set with a baby Trike and stegosaurus? But I think he's too large to be made of one piece only. Maybe an additional neck + head piece would do, like the Gallimimus. -
Jurassic World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
StegoLover replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Imagine if there would be a whole wave of 4 'normal' JP sets, like the 2018 one. That would be amazing! I hope that if they do that, they make them based on 'smaller' scenes from the movie, like Rexy literally destroying the bathroom where the lawyer was hiding, Dennis nedry getting stuck in the mud in his car... Or even a set with the sick Triceratops. I do actually wonder that if they would do that, they would change the whole name to lego jurassic park or just keep it as JW sets, although that would probably be a bit confusing. When that will finally happen, I can rest at last, lol, cuz he's mine too. (Pretty obvious I guess since it's in my name) I hope so much that they're going to use the model from the game or at least that it will be based on that one because I liked it a lot. (At least the LW variant of) Stego is surprisingly larger compared to other big herbivores like Trike and Anky, so it would be nice if TLG makes all-new pieces for him (including a swinging tail and bigger leg pieces). I guess it wouldn't be impossible since all of the pieces for the Indoraptor were also brand new. My dream set, I need it in my life I think it would be awesome to see it being like a diorama set in the same style of the star wars Dagobah training we got a couple months ago, since it captured the swamp scenery nicely in my opinion. It would obviously also have to include a LW variant of Ian , Sarah, Nick and Eddie Also, what happened to Sarah in Dominion? Wasn't she Ian wife or something lol -

Maybe because the prices and the sets were already made in 2020 before the price increase because they we're delayed, and they couldn't change it since they were older sets? But i'm not sure
