  1. Now seems to work very well! I think I'll make mini (3x smaller) 8110 Unimog though. As your question why, I've had to low front suspension. Then front wheels turned inside that when you turn left, right wheel turns too much, that makes steering and driving at the same time uncomfortable. Real motor vehicles have such a thing, but when you turn left, left wheel turns more (and not so much, it can be counted - depends from that how long and wide is vehicle). In Lego there is the same turn on both wheels, so it is simplified but perfectly sufficient (unless you will make steering linkage in different way).
  2. That looks very cool already. What part did you use for 5th wheel? I mean this 5x3
  3. Incredible functions in such a small scale! Love that crane, but isn't it possible to make it simpler? Also cab seems to be too boxy, but it's just my opinion.
  4. I love how the Stud.io model looks, but I think you can add red hose as wheel arch. The bed elevation works very well too. I'm not sure about tow bar - isn't it too weak to tow some car/truck? As well as mirrors are oversized in my opinion.
  5. Hello there, I looked at a lot sets like Mercedes Arocs (42043), timber truck (9397), MB Unimog U400 (8110), Mack Anthem truck (42078), crane truck (8258), Ford Raptor (42126), MB Zetros (42129), I choosed something that isn't truck. The first thing in my head was to use 30.4x14mm wheels (because I have 9-stud wide (with wheels) front axle with independent suspension), but it seemed to be too small for me. Then choosed 56x26 ones, but since I have only 2 of balloon ones, decided to match look at this point (because I don't wish to buy pull back set only for them) and used tractor ones. So far I managed to fit suspension (independent double wishbone on the front and live axle on the rear), HOG steering and fake full-sized V4 engine (as original set): Check out my Rebrickable and Instagram
  6. Looks good so far that Volvo. Love that you actually use bricks for taillights, no stickers as oroginal set. Looking forward to see how you will make arm geometry and raising cab. I've had same thing XD
  7. Looks so good so far! I love doing models at such scale. Looking forward to see how you will make cab and all the functions.
  8. Now you can not stick to these pictures (I guess) :)
  9. I used this app with some filter. What do you think?
  10. Thank you for advice. Yes, steering axles in semitrailer limits bending angle of the trailer, but I think that's enough in such scale. I wanted to try with some new steering hub attachment, but it's quite fragile frankly. The antennas are not necessary, but I like them, but I'm sure it's a matter of taste.
  11. Thank you! I dunno why 🤷‍♂️
  12. Thank you very much for your kind words! Thanks!
