  1. Didn't buy much this year in terms of sets, as I mainly buy bricks, but there's one that is not only my favorite of the year, but possibly my favorite of all time: 10316 - Rivendell. Not only because it looks amazing and I love the Lord of the Rings, but I've been amazed by all the techniques in the build, I literally 'wowed' multiple times out loud in the process. I'd recommend it to everyone.
  2. There was a 25% discount on all lego in stores in Rome last weekend, so I was able to snatch it with a decent discount! Can't wait to build it!!
  3. I guess I'm a low-tech idiot, even when searching for #legoleaks on instagram I can't seem to find anything
  4. Can someone please tell me where and how to find these??
  5. Apologies if this should be obvious, but where would 'the usual place' be? I'd love to see it too!
  6. This looks truly amazing! I just wish for the amount of dark bley slopes required for this!!!
  7. Ciao Luca! I've had the fortune to see this MOC in person myself (as I was exhibiting my castle MOC right in front of it! In real life, especially with the lights, it looks even more amazing! Auguri Luca with getting it up to the front page! Saluti, Rik
  8. Hi everyone, It's my first time posting on Eurobricks, and I'm not sure where to ask. I've been working on my MOC for a while now. The idea is to build a castle that is open on the back side to show the interiors of the different rooms. The problem I'm encountering, is that the rooms quickly become too dark to see well what's inside. Therefore, I've gotten the idea to, for the first time in my life, incorporate lighting into my builds. I have zero experience with this, and would like to ask you: - does anyone have any suggestions on which lighting to use, where to buy, etc? - what do I need exactly to make lighting work? And basically, any tips or tricks that you could come up with! Thank you so much in advance!
  9. Love the build of the throne room, and the story is told very well! But what I especially love, is the stained glass window and the lighting in the first picture! It looks amazing!
  10. Thank you @miccio!!! Rome has been treating me very well indeed! It's a beautiful city, and the food and weather are definitely better than in the Netherlands..
  11. Hi everyone, I'm Velnerius, a Dutch guy (28yo) that has been living in Rome, Italy for the past few years. I've been passionate about history and Lego Castle ever since I was a kid, and have restarted building MOC's since about two years when my mom sent me over all my old Lego from the Netherlands. I've been lurking the historic forum here for quite some time now, and realized it was time for me to come out of the shadows! I hope to be sharing my current project (still a work in progress) with everybody here soon!
