Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Slytherin Alumni replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I was so excited to see the official photos this morning! Imo the designers have given us a solid 1HY wave. Banners: I certainly think Slytherin is the strongest banner (not just because it's my house) mainly because of the wall - the underwater elements and basilisk eye are great! I like that they included a house crest piece in each banner and the moments books on the shelf were clever. The quidditch jumpers are great and the highlight of the minifigures for sure. Although, the Ravenclaw jumper should be navy rather than blue. Either way, I feel the jumpers foreshadow a new Quidditch set this summer :) The Black Lake: The mermaid, grindylow, Krum's shark head, Harry's gills and flesh tones flippers are all incredible. I love the colors for the arch, the stack-ability of the tower and the green jar (meant to represent gillyweed?) at the top. Overall a great remake, but, I wish they would have gone bigger and given us all the champions. Also, this was a huge missed opportunity for Rita Skeeter! She was in the scene in the film and she was there in beetle form in the book. If they had included Rita and a beetle, it would have been amazing! RoR: The fiendfyre is so cool and I love that it comes apart to make fire in the room. And, we got Helena Ravenclaw :) so happy we got a new ghost! The diadem, 2 Hogwarts house banners, cornish pixie and bust are all great inclusions. So glad they did the RoR door feature again, but really wish they had included a vanishing cabinet. I haven't bought many of the castle builds, but this one is a good stand alone piece. The price point is great when compared to Sirius' escape last year, which was the same price of $50. With 2 of the trio in their outfits now, a Battle of Hogwarts this summer is very possible. -

When should we see official images of the March sets? Wasn’t it sometime in December last year? I never know if I want a set for sure until I’ve seen the images. That being said, I’m most excited for the ROR! The minifigures/outfits, possible diadem, fiendfyre and possibly another vanishing cabinet to pair with the one in B&B (although I imagine it would be updated and not match exactly). The house banners have potential to be great but I have kept my hopes low. If they include the founders or the house ghosts, they will be worth buying. If they are just students/professors, I will buy my house only. The 2nd task is smaller than I expected due to part of the build going to the observation tower. Hopefully they will include a beetle as Rita was there in beetle form in the book. She was there in person in the movie though…such a missed opportunity to finally have her. -

With the RoR coming plus Neville in the AC, there’s a good chance of getting a battle of Hogwarts next summer :) -

March wave is promising... Banners: If the banners include the house ghosts, they are a must buy as I have wanted them for some time now! If not, I will probably just get Slytherin (my house). Black Lake/2nd task remake: Rita could be on the spectator tower or they could just include her in beetle form. Either way, I love that they are remaking this set :) RoR: I love that they are including the fiendfyre snake! I'm hoping for Draco in suit, Blaise, Ron and Harry as far as minifigures. A vanishing cabinet would be cool to connect to Borgin and Burkes. I expect the diadem and brooms will be included. It would be cool if they had some items from past movies (pixies, half blood prince book, etc.) and there should be a stack of chairs/items that has a collapsing feature. I'm guessing this will be my favorite set of the wave, but hard to tell until I see official pictures. -

I would love to have these as minifigures! Fred and George especially :) I have zero interest in purchasing the Hogwarts Express for many reasons, none of which haven’t already been expressed here. The AC will also be a pass for me. I’m not a fan of microbuilds and the figures alone are not worth $45 to me. I’m looking forward to seeing what the Spring 2023 sets are. I have my fingers crossed for common rooms, but ‘HP experience’ seems to suggest something else. -

GP and MoM were 2 of my top 3 most wanted sets for this year. Thank you Lego :) My wish list for 2023 and beyond… - Bill/Fleur wedding (mainly for Bill and X. Lovegood minifigures). A CMF with both of these figures would also work. - All 4 house common rooms including the house ghosts. These would have worked as Moments books, so Maybe they will do something similar. - Quidditch set with all four teams. This could include 1 member of each team in the set, then an accessory pack with one of each team to build teams. As there is no Quidditch set available right now, I think this is highly likely for 2023. Most wanted remake: The 2nd task of the Triwizard Tournament. -

I was able to secure the Staircase and Polybag. It took about 10 minutes for the polybag to show up in cart (U.S.). When should we see official complete images of the HP advent calendar? -

I was hoping to get the Burrow plus another set for the GWP, but unfortunately it sold out yesterday. Canada/America is pretty much last to hit midnight, so I hope enough sets are still in stock to get the staircase. -

Maybe next year TLG will release the HP GWP the same day all of the HP sets release. I had planned on buying the MoM, the SS and GP. Should I... 1) Buy 1 set now and wait on the other 2 for July 15 2) Wait until July 15, add the Thestrals to GP placing 2 orders and getting 2 GWP and poly bags These options are assuming nothing sells out which is a possibility. Suggestions? I hope they do proper common rooms for all 4 houses at some point with the house ghosts included. -

Brick Clicker just did an update video on YT and mentioned Neville with a sword, Sirius in a brown sweater, moaning Myrtle and Voldemort along with Tonks and Harry for the AC. He did say rumored minifigure list but it’s the first I’ve heard about the sword and brown sweater. -

Decent minifigures. I want the new Dark Lord (face print) and would love Moaning Myrtle for my bathroom (I missed out on her in the CMF and have been using a banshee). Would rather have Slughorn than another Snape, but maybe he will be wearing Neville's Grandmother's clothes. I'd replace Harry with a Ravenclaw Quidditch player...anyone else have too many Harry's? Kind of bummed there's no Quidditch set on shelves this year. I thought we would get a new pitch or some Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw players in an AP. Good chance for next year though. -
I think the upcoming Lego-Con is our last chance for ST this year. If we don't hear anything by then, it's not happening. There's a small chance they're keeping it secret for a surprise reveal at Lego-Con to release on July 1st along with Part 2. Either way, it's possible they do an entire ST wave (fingers crossed) when Season 5 releases as it will be the finale.

Meg.bricks on IG posted the Hogwarts Castle/Dumbledore polybag. The post said found at ToysRUs so they are officially out in stores :) Can’t wait to see what the total castle looks like when you put 8 together. Hopefully I will find one soon. Also, as Voldemort was not listed in the D2C minifigures, he is almost certainly included in the Advent Calendar :) -

Ah, that's too bad. I'm eager to see which set the Dark Lord minifigure is in: should be the AC or D2C at this point. What reveals are you guys hoping for at Lego-Con? My top 3 are... 1) Hogwarts Express D2C (I will take the HP AC as well) 2) Stranger Things set (if nothing is revealed by then, it's not happening this year) 3) Castle Anniversary set (I think this is the mostly likely of the 3) -

Did we ever find out what the accessory pack was? I thought it would release in June with the rest of the wave. I don't think it had been officially confirmed, so there may not be one.? I'm hoping the polybag shows up in stores and it should due to the fact you need 8 to build the castle, but it could initially start out as GWP. The AC appears to be a 'Years 1-7' microscale theme. We could (in theory) get 7 microscale builds (2 days per build) , 7 minifigures and a few accessories. The Dark Lord could be included! Looking forward to the proper reveal -
Creel House with Vecna would be so cool! There is a small chance the ST set for this year contains something included in Part 2 of Season 4 and TLG obviously wouldn't want to create spoilers...If this hopeful theory is correct, they could announce it a Lego-Con, but the reveal would have to wait until July 1st. I agree; the keychain and Brickheadz shouldn't be all. That would be a severely missed opportunity!

Any idea when we will find out about the HP Accessory Pack? It releases in June, correct? I think we will see the D2C 🚂 revealed at Lego-Con next month. Possibly the AC as well. -

It could be the Advent calendar or GWP as well. Personally, I’m hoping it’s an Accessory pack, rather expansion pack for the MoM. I love the polybag this year :) Easy way to get Dumbledore, more wizard cards and I love the chocolate frogs. Plus, I imagine you could do a nice MOC with a few polybags. Does anyone know when polybags show up in stores like Target or WM? I still haven’t found the Spider-Man No Way Home or JW Dino nursery polybags. Any advice would be appreciated. -

I'm a little relieved the D2C is not tempting to me this year because I want several sets already. Looking forward to seeing official pictures, but if the rumor is true, it will be a pass for me. For a D2C HE, I think it will be a combination of the SS/PS and the epilogue scene. The Hogsmeade station from SS/PS (with the trio, Hagrid and possibly a boat) and Platform 9 3/4 from the epilogue (with the older trio, Draco and the children). Harrys first journey to Hogwarts and his kids' as well. I imagine a quote would be included. -
Just saw the trailer for Season 4 Part 1 If we're getting more ST sets this year, we should hear something very soon! I'm guessing the release would be in June between Parts 1 & 2. I'm hoping for a few sets at a range of prices. As they have licensing and the show has been in production for so long, it's possible the sets will be from the new season (fingers crossed).

I've enjoyed reading through comments and have been watching YT reactions as well :) The Tonks duck face and The Dark Lord tongue out minifigure head leaks are intriguing! A MoM OotP accessory pack would be great (Dumbledore, The Dark Lord, Bella and Fudge maybe) to pair with the MoM itself. And, I'm hoping the Tonks duck face is part of the Advent calendar (Xmas GP themed) and that it also includes an injured Mr. Weasley fresh out of St. Mungo's. I cannot believe we got a Grimmauld Place! It was the first thing I saw when I got on IG yesterday morning and I'm so happy :) I'm most excited for GP and the MoM! Thestral Set: I love the Thestrals. I don't see myself using the carriage though and the tree is a bit small/sad. If I buy, I would wait for a sale, or just bricklink a Thestral/s. I like the idea of having a few Thestrals for them to ride to the Ministry (different film but it works) Horntail: I am really impressed by this set. I thought it would be an automatic skip, but it's minifigure scale and Harry's printing is incredible. Not sure if I will purchase, but I very much appreciate the build. TLG designers did great on this one! Sirius' Escape: Overall underwhelmed by this set. Honestly, I don't like the Hogwarts modular system, which is simply personal preference. Dumbledore's Office/Library: Again, I pass on the castle builds, but I'm glad they make them for the fans who enjoy them and for variety. I agree, I would have liked separate Dumbledore's office and Library sets. It would have been good for price variety. Office $40 and Library $30 ah well, what could have been...I would have purchased the library set as I think it's cool and love the look of Irma Pince! Shrieking Shack: I love the glow in the dark moon transformation build. The Whomping Willow I could do without, but I know it's key to the scene. Lupin's werewolf form with the Demogorgons legs (I think) looks great to me. The interior is a bit small imo, but I thought that about the Hogmeade buildings as well and I believe it will match perfectly with those. I will most likely get this, but wait for sale or 2X points. MoM: YES! I really love this one. The minifigures are incredible and love that we have another poly juice trio in a set. Great playability being able to rearrange the offices/build to create different scenes (I guess I like modular, just not castle related ha) and the rubber duck easter egg, decoy detonators, interdepartmental memos, floo network, telephone booth and I love the green (Slytherin Pride). Grimmauld Place: YES, Thank you Lego! I love that they were able to create the concealment feature with #12. The Black Family Tree is awesome and another great selection of minifigures! Kreacher looks perfect to me. I cannot zoom in enough to confirm whose pictures are hanging on the wall? Hopefully Walburga Black and Phineas Nigellus Black are included. Excellent wave already even before the AC, D2C, GWP, Polybag or whatever else is even announced. Harry Potter rules! Always -

I think the hairpiece is real, but not sure if it’s for Tonks. I hope so! You're leaving out (perhaps on purpose) the possibility of two more buildable figures, which I believe Promobricks or StoneWars surmised they could be. I would gladly take any of the possibilities you put forth - minus a Quidditch Pitch - but I would guess the Durmstrang Ship would be most likely. No idea when we'll hear about it. Several leakers/sites have listed it as a playset and, unfortunately I’ve got my hopes up on that piece of information 😅 If that turns out to be false, well…there’s still the MoM and Shrieking Shack. -

Yes, I agree the Durmstrang ship and GP are most likely (imo) and I want Grimmauld Place the most as well I would expect it to be 3 floors like the Burrow, but slightly bigger and wider. I see it including key features like Walburga (sp?) Black's frame and the Locket Horcrux. Also, key characters like Kreacher, Tonks with violet hair and Mundungus Fletcher. Hopefully we will at least hear the title of the set soon, but as it's an exclusive, maybe not. Ah, okay, I've been looking for that amazing Quidditch Pitch MOC I saw on TikTok and finally found it. brickbrouwer posted it Feb 21st. It is quite incredible, but it would definitely cost more than the D2C even. No idea how many pieces it took him! I also, loved the Hogwarts staircase MOC by EricLaw on Instagram (I believe someone already mentioned this).
