  1. This sounds like you are buying sets you actively don't like just because of the theme? That seems crazy to me.
  2. If you regret it why not just buy some other themes? I bought most marvel sets for a few years but like you say there havent been many good sets providing anything new lately. I've bought some ninjago, bricklink designer programme sets and some ideas and they are great. My son has really got into Harry potter lately so weve been building some of those together. I'll come back to marvel if there are some amazing sets and/or doomsday is good.
  3. I'll be the first one to say I'm not a huge fan. I think it's too white so the outside looks monotonous. I like the figs and the throne room at the back but the view from the front isn't doing it for me. I love the books and films of LOTR but have held off from the Lego sets. Now seeing this, I'll pick up Rivendell and not worry about 'completing' by getting the others. I don't think they'll display that well all together.
  4. Its on reddit, if you search Lego Minas Tirith, or join R/Legoleak it's on there
  5. The difference is when the pre order came back for a second time, the GWP wasn't available. The numbers of available GWPs was in the T&Cs so I think it's likely they sold that many sets (over 32 million dollars in about 12 hours!). Then the second preorder round was presumably a bit of extra stock. I suppose it's the GWP that went out of stock, rather than the set itself. Preorder is unavailable again, at least in the UK Yeah, Jang discussed that in his video. This was the Brickset comment that he referenced which seemed pretty spot on:
  6. Preorders for the big 3 set are exhausted on the US, UK and AUS lego sites.
  7. Good to know, I've edited my post. Think there might have been some confusion as it wasn't showing with pre orders straight away. I've seen people cancelling and re-ordering and getting it. Think people are assuming the worst with this as trying to buy pokemon cards is a nightmare at the moment.
  8. There are a limited number of GWPs available (around 22000 apparently). You do get it with a preorder.
  9. the big set is now on the Lego website! https://www.lego.com/en-gb/product/venusaur-charizard-and-blastoise-72153
  10. yeah I like the lighning bolt base and that it's coming out of a pokeball. But the face looks a bit off. Not going to be rushing out to get that one. The GWP press release stuff confirms it's Venusaur, Bulbasaur and Charizard as the huge expensive set. The GWP is exclusive to that.
  11. The Kanto badges GWP has leaked online. Looks pretty good, though the 4 piece transparent lid does detract from it.
  12. So excited for this! Loved the book. I'd really recommend reading it. I hope the film does it justice. Can't wait to see the lego set!
  13. Really looking forward to seeing these. I'm assuming based on the price that the pikachu & pokeball set will be at the same scale as the bulbasaur, squirtle and charmander set. You'd hope they will look incredible for the price and piece count. Question is will they look £800 incredible.....
  14. Looking forward to seeing them, but man thats alot of money. Don't feel like we can be too far off seeing the february sets? 2 months or less? A bit more info has been leaked: 20 retail sets and 8 promos (some of which could be brickheads) 1 wave in feb focussed on buildable pokemon for adults 2 summer waves. Summer waves will focus on the smart brick, similar to Mario. Smart Play pikachu's tail is the one that was revealed in the teaser video from Lego.
