  1. Probably, but fun to speculate and potentially start a discussion on how others would feel about such a set
  2. I’ve just seen a story from Stu._D on Insta asking how people would feel about a set not too dissimilar to this. The story is positioned in a way that suggests it could be this. I for one would love something like it!
  3. It being described as a celebration of the franchise suggests to me it’s not a singular location, scene or vehicle. Suggests more of a collection of some kind. If that’s not an Icons style set I wonder if it could be a collection of vignettes showcasing iconic scenes housed in something similar to the Mario ? Block (thinking the Marvel Studios logo). Not at all expecting that, simply thinking out loud as I’m really struggling to think what it could be. Again though, a celebration of the franchise is phrasing that I find so fascinating.
  4. Brick_Clicker has a countdown for “something HUGE” in less than an hours time on his IG. Could it be time?!
  5. I’m so intrigued. I’m not even going to attempt to guess as I don’t think it’s going to fit into any category of set we’ve seen at that price point (building, vehicle, icons ect) With the details seemingly out there let’s hope us finding out is just around the corner!
  6. Both brick_clicker and falconfan have posted stories on IG in the last 24 hours. Falconfan talking about 2022 being year of Lego making strange decisions and Brick_Clicker saying just because something seems obvious doesn’t mean it’ll happen. Of course these may be unrelated to Marvel but I can’t think of any other big D2C sets for this year that have yet to be revealed. I’m almost fully convinced the D2C isn’t going to be Avengers Tower at this point. These posts just add to the gut feeling I have.
  7. I noticed last night that John Lewis were selling at £189. They’ve bumped it up to £215 today. Still a fair few selling at £189 though. Interesting to see if others go to higher price
  8. I saw this post and went onto Very. Opened a credit account with them and got an extra 10% off the £189.99 price. £170 in the end. Happy days!
  9. Calling it now. Botanical x Marvel UCS Buildable Baby Groot in a Pot
  10. So tandnbricks (who I find to be a good follow in terms of subtle hints) and posted on Instagram a space in his city and how it looks “so strange” and maybe something could go in it’s place. Also uses #legosuperheroes Now with a few as yet to be confirmed $200+ set listing flying around, coupled with what looked to be a Mordo hairpiece showing up the other day…. man I’m really hoping this all leads where I’d love it to
  11. As soon as we got the Gauntlet last year I’ve been hoping for this, so very pleased I’ll have it soon! Day one purchase for me. Personally I couldn’t care less about mini figs, but the inclusion is nice for those that do.
  12. I was thinking about this last night. If I could pick what a $500 set would look like (based entirely on my own preference of sets I like) it would be a battle of New York set in a blown up Architecture style with the centre piece being the Leviathan. Very much a display piece. Again, zero expectation of that, but I’d love it!
  13. I’ll almost certainly be getting this. Not everyone was collecting LEGO back when the (by the sounds of what we know about this) significantly smaller UCS released. Couldn’t be less bothered about figures, as long as the build is good I’ll be happy. I’m quite sure the original must’ve sold well for an upgraded set to be released this soon after. Feels similar to the Tumbler re-release in that it allows the well documented vast number of new AFOLS to pick up a set they probably would’ve bought at the time. A company who makes as much money as LEGO does knows what they are doing and what will sell! Would I have liked an Avengers/Stark Tower? Absolutely. Hope that happens sooner rather than later. However they were never going to launch into yearly modular D2Cs in my opinion. Let’s hope that one day Marvel will get the SW treatment of a coupe of big sets each year. Here’s to hoping!
  14. The description of the 2022 set has finally convinced me to get into the theme. By chance I then stumbled across Assembly Square at nearly £40 off at Smyths Toys. Couldn’t say no at that price!
  15. I couldn’t resist a complete box of the CMF for £95. When ordered they were on back order until later this week. Now disappeared from the website so hoping they’ll have a box to actually send me!
  16. One for anyone UK based. Just noticed on WH Smith’s website they offer special prices if ordering 36 of the last two CMF’s. Same for 20 of the Super Mario character packs. If an order like that results in being sent a complete box rather than 36 randomly selected ones that’ll be a good way to get a full box for anyone looking to do so. I’m thinking about the Marvel CMF when it releases, for the avoidance of any doubt!
  17. It’s definitely not just you. In my opinion it’s the part of the imagine that makes me doubt it’s validity the most. Seems to slant to the left and doesn’t at all look like it says Lego.
  18. Does anyone know if capes come in the little boxes in CMF bags as they do in sets? Hoping they do to help with trying to feel which figure in each bag!
  19. Seeing as What If sets are being released pretty much alongside the show do we think that means no WandaVision, F&WS or Loki sets? Personally hoping we may get a once a year Disney+ wave with 1 set per (live action) show. I’m choosing optimism over pessimism!
  20. I finished up the Benatar build tonight and have to say the pictures do not do this set justice at all! Shame it doesn’t come with a UCS or Batman style nameplate. That’s very much a minor issue based on my personal preference. Really hope Infinity Saga sets are not a one off, some incredible builds with so much potential for many more. My gut feeling is this will become a regular thing. Here’s to hoping!
  21. I’m hoping that the one staff member manning the warehouse manages to get my Bugle set dispatched today! 48 hours and counting since ordered How long did it take for you guys (if of course you ordered online)?
