  1. I hope it is 8W. The locomotive is very complicated and it's hard to do it justice without going 8W or 9W. It is still possible to have steam locomotives navigate R40 curves at 8W or 9W, I do it all the time with my trains. I hope that they will limit the passenger car to 8W though, even though the ideas submission had a wider car. 8W passeneger cars are the sweet spot IMO for 1:48 scale trains. Seeing that this set will be the spiritual successor of the Emerald Night, I can't wait to see what detail they pack into it.
  2. me too! If only Legos could fly...

  4. Welcome! I really like the Porche you made!
  5. Hi Greg! Welcome!
  6. How does everyone buy their huge collections of straight tracks? Since Lego stopped selling them individually, do people just bricklink the cheapest stores? Is their any cheaper or easier way to get straight RC tracks?
  7. Welcome! The Lego birds set tempted me to get back into to Lego also! It's such an elegant set. Enjoy your stay here!
  8. Welcome! Trains are always so tempting, lucky for your son to have such an awesome dad!
  9. Welcome to Eurobricks Abou!
  10. I can't wait for a MOC of the Amtrak high speed trains, exciting times indeed
  11. Hi everybody! I'm from California and I've recently got back into Lego. When I was younger I was hugely into star wars and collected a clone army but now that I'm back I want to dive back into MOC train building. It's cool to finally join Eurobricks, I've read this forum years ago but didn't post much. Hopefully everyone's having a good day, can't wait to meet everyone here!
  12. Testing and first post, Hi too
  13. I just got my first pf train (being a hardcore 9v fan) and from the beginning I noticed a major problem. The rechargeable batteries I've been using only last for about one minute and then the train slows to a stop. I checked the batteries and four of them are completetly drained and two are fully charged. The train works great when I stuff in a huge AA battery pack but it drains the AAA battery pack extremely fast. I am asking everyone if this usually happens with this train or is it something elese. I think it might be the rechargeable batteries and I have to run out and get new ones. I am completely out of regular AAA batteries so I can only work with the rechargeable ones. My only worry is that its something like the motor or IR that might be acting up.
