  1. It's not an expansion to the existing system... Supposed to be more similar to the Microscale Hogwarts $160 model.
  2. Not sure if others noticed, but in Duckbricks' recent video about the D&D CMF, he shows the Zelda set on display at SDCC. There is a whole section to hold the master sword that isn't shown in any promotional pictures for the set!
  3. I think this sentiment arises because of how many TPM sets were 18+/gimmicks this year. The only main playset for the movie was the 75383 Infiltrator, and with some other movies getting a $140 flagship set for an anniversary, such as the AT-AT or AT-TE (which, if Promobricks' rumor is to be believed, was originally for E2?), or getting a small wave of sets, like the Clone Wars anniversary, people wanted more main playset offerings. That being said, you aren't wrong - TPM received a solid offering of sets in various categories, similar to the 40th anniversary of ROTJ last year (with some sets for that just being generic OT sets with a ROTJ anniversary logo slapped onto them like Chewbacca). I'm honestly not expecting much outside of the ARC-170, probably a Brickheadz pack, a polybag, and maybe a diorama and maybe one more set for ROTS next year. LEGO just doesn't do full waves for movie anniversaries or even for single movies anymore (like they did in 2013/2014 timeframe). This is probably because of the number of anniversaries, frankly.
  4. I'm very much hoping for a bag end set, perhaps even Hobbit themed? Would be a cheaper option depending how they did the set, and the adventure quote does align with Bilbo the most.
  5. Really hoping for a good imperial battle pack... Please LEGO..
  6. I appreciate the note of needing more OT BPs and bunker, etc. I would agree that the PT would have some great scenes for dioramas, but they also tried to start with more iconic scenes (Except the speeder chase to a degree) from the OT to appeal to a slightly wider group of fans, and even that didn't pay off well for them, so we'll see what they do from here I guess. And I understand the desire for certain legions. There are a lot of good ones to remake/make. My problem is that there is a consistent discontentedness from Clone fans in the community. If we got Bly, then people want Wolfe, and then people want the marine corps, and then people want... And then by the end of it all, people will complain that they haven't made 501st in 4 years. And people are allowed to want all of those. I'm not critiquing the desire. But too many people just keep acting like whatever LEGO does clone-wise isn't "enough" because for years they didn't make as many... Despite literally 6 years of Clone Wars sets up until a decade ago. I'm all for LEGO making more clone legions and doing unique things, but there are also OT fans who don't feel heard when they say they want OT packs, because all they get back is that "LEGO made those before, now clones." For the record, @Lego Nostalgia, this isn't directed at you, but it's just where I've seen the argument go, and why there is frustration at times from some when people say that they want a couple of other particular legions.
  7. There is more than just PT stuff we need...
  8. I'm hoping that it includes some new moulded Buzz droids, or something else to justify the price... Also, if it's earlier CW seasons Ahsoka, I guess they'll just use the show Lekku?
  9. I'm curious on the scale of Grogu. Either they will pour a lot of pieces into the pram, and he will be R2 scale (which would be very small), or it'll be just it's own scale like last time.
  10. I'd guess they'll make it a companion to the Hand - Nice to have two $50 ones that pair with each other.
  11. Oddly enough, I'm kinda expecting a UCS Infiltrator next year. They keep releasing a UCS for the movie with an anniversary the previous year (Venator being an exception), and a Scimitar would work well for a $240 UCS given its actual size.
  12. I'd doubt it with the part count. Just hoping it has Grievous or something to make it more worthwhile price-wise...
  13. Agreed. Hoping that there is at least something of substance there, because otherwise that's just an awful price..
  14. Yay for Jedi Fighters being $45 now...
  15. I wouldn't be surprised if they were either 18+ buildables like the droideka, or 18+ midis. Given we got one measly diorama this year, and I'm guessing it didn't do well either, I wouldn't be surprised if they killed that subline of sets.
  16. Reveal thanks to @Childish_Landino, not Brick Reporter But also, I am a huge fan of this set. I went from no interest to a ton of interest. Very similar to Azure Angel, which is great.
  17. Coming here to say something similar, primarily about the two sets shown tonight. The peredia set is just... mediocre? I was hoping they would have the small gold ship from the show, or something of more substance, but instead we have the Obi Wan set, but worse in terms of stickers on a baseplate with some upright tiles. At least the Obi Wan one had more play for kids with the split in the middle and the lava buckets.. The redeeming factor is the figs, which is why most will buy anyway, but even then, only Thrawn and maybe the trooper interest me personally. The skiff is better than I expected. I actually like the sand buildup as a display to accompany the upcoming Sail Barge, and the skiff looks good, but this feels like a great $60 set, not $80.
  18. He very much isn't reliable, no. He touted the fake death star leak as 100% true last year, and he consistently posts whatever he hears, rather than validating. He also consistently posts "update" videos for sets with little to no updates, and no sources noted for the updates he does give (when all added info is from sources like TandN, Brick Clicker, etc.).. This Ewok Village rumor has even now been updated to say "or maybe an Endor Bunker".. All of this Endor stuff is from TandN's hint on his story a week or so ago when he put "Redwood" on top of a picture of the LEGO vault with 10236 under it, thus leading people to believe that a new Endor set is coming.
  19. Yeah there's no way this is true. The final set was shown in September 2023, and they didn't develop it in just a few months.
  20. I'm not sure we'll see playsets, but I do think LEGO would be wise to make a couple of D2Cs that are closer to $250. In fact, I could EASILY see a $250 Bag End as the next set. While I understand the desire to make primarily D2Cs for adult fans, some variety in prices (more than $40), would be nice.
  21. Exactly this. Some people might have extra heads, but not everyone. Heck, I'm a collector, but I don't have a ton of extra parts to swap heads into these.
  22. It's harder to be negative about the value of a $400 product when you don't spend anything on it.
  23. Honestly, this is my thought. If this set is intended to be somewhat amassable as well (hence it not being Luke's X-Wing or Vader's TIE), it would make far more sense for the set to either be entirely random in design, or be designed to be specifically customizable.
  24. Also of note, the Dagobah part seems to show the new X-Wing from the double pack.
