  1. Am I crazy or is the new Green Goblin just straight up Harry from the current Ultimate comics? I can't tell if it's just HEAVILY inspired by it or if it is the design 1:1. Either way it definitely makes the set a must get for me despite not having any space for it. Peter's apartment is sick too, new Hobgoblin definitely doesn't top the original for me but I'm glad he's getting some love at all.
  2. You're right, this is a bad thing to engage in and after this, I'm not going to anymore. I don't want it left unsaid though that someone responding negatively to you posting that you hope a movie isn't "ruined" with diversity unprompted does not mean they are being argumentative for no reason. Especially when what you're saying is only tangentially related to Lego.
  3. Deadpool in general and those movies are already pretty inclusive, I don't see why it would be a problem for that to continue in the 3rd film. That being said, this is the 2nd time you've tried to derail the thread from Lego into culture war rubbish, nobody acknowledged it the first time and you should have taken the hint.
  4. I'm only a game/comic fan when it comes to Sonic so I might be way off but is it possible the rumoured "Knuckles and Master Emerald" set is from the show? It would explain why we'd be getting 2 sets with Knuckles and the master emerald in 1 year if 1 was a game and 1 was a movie set. Unless Knuckles doesn't guard the emerald in the movies since that trailer looked like he lived in the American suburbs.
  5. Lego made a Ditko suit spider-man? What set was it in I can't seem to find it
  6. I've kinda been MIA from lego discussion for a while now so maybe I've missed something that rules out this possibility since the only catching up I've really done is the last like 4 pages of this thread but is the $500 set possibly a non-minifig scale diorama or something? It's only been said to "include" a BP vehicle and afaik it's also been said that it's not another minifig scale building (bummer) is it possible that it's just a ridiculously big architecture-esque model of Wakanda or something? Someone else here mentioned a leaker saying it's a "celebration of the theme" so could it be something similar to that but for various elements of the entire MCU? Again this could all be debunked by the facts already but I've been out of the loop for way too long. Side note, I finally picked up the Sanctum as the centerpiece of my Midnight Sons display but I really want to swap out Strange's face to have facial hair closer to his iconic comic looks (preferably just a moustache but I wouldn't mind the soul patch/moustache too) rather than the MCU one to fit with the rest of that display being comic based. Anyone got any good suggestions for what head might work?
  7. Even though the marketing hasn't been secretive about them fighting in general, I think it's likely they might not want our first actual look at the fight to be a Lego set. They might see it as kind of ruining the big moment if we see the setting of the fight in Lego first.
  8. Maybe it'll be like those Spider-man sets? MoM branding but with an "also inspired by Avengers: Infinity War" thing on the packaging?
  9. Is the Sanctum being movie based a certainty if it's real? A comic Sanctum is literally my dream set so I'll be bummed if we get a 2nd one and it's just another MCU thing even if the build is nicer.
  10. Another Spider-man mech is really disappointing but I think that's my fault for getting too excited for a non-movie Antman and Wasp. Hopefully the Green Goblin isn't just the one from the Bugle to make it a little bit more interesting.
  11. Please, a comic Sanctum would almost definitely be one of my top sets ever. I've been dying for a comic Strange minifig since the incredible one that was in the first Lego Marvel game. Unfortunately I don't think it'll be a Sanctum.
  12. Horizon already had amazing robot design and the translation to lego is ridiculously good. I really hope the rumours of other 18+ game sets are true and they're all this high quality
  13. I agree she's pretty irritating sometimes but I think that just endears me to her. It helps that I think she's a pretty decent version of the trope she's embodying, her tangents and off hand comments are actually pretty funny sometimes imo. I think she looks like a pretty good mini-fig too although I didn't know that when I originally replied.
  14. Peli Motto being in a set is a selling point for me personally, I was going to skip any BoBF sets but I might pick this up if the build is okay just because I like Peli. BD would be a selling point of the set for me too if the buildable one wasn't coming already.
  15. Yes please, I just want a great new Jango Fett minifig on par with all the great Boba's we have now. It's probably just because I played Bounty Hunter so much as a kid but I've always found Jango to be way cooler and his lack of love in merch compared to Boba is always a bummer.
  16. Incredibly disheartening to read this, QA testers reporting that this is one of the worst places to work in the entire industry is telling given how poorly QA testers are treated everywhere else already. It's a real shame, TSS was one of the games this year I was most interested in because I think SW is cool and love Lego but I'm trying to do my small part to stop giving any money to this kind of enviroment in the games industry so I gotta skip.
  17. and it was a mech which is pretty funny
  18. The wording of the cm4sci thing sounds like he's just throwing out a guess to me, I doubt he meant it as anything more than speculation.
  19. The mech minifigs actually make me think the Avengers Tower might follow the bugle route of just being a non-specific Lego version of the tower that throws in tons of elements of Avengers history instead of being the 2012 movie version like most are assuming. I mean Wolverine's most famous run on an Avengers team was New Avengers which also just happens to be the series that introduced the tower instead of the mansion and we're finally getting a comic versions of 2 founding Avengers? It feels like it lines up pretty well.
  20. If it has to be an Avengers Tower instead of something like a Sanctum, X-mansion or Baxter Building I atleast hope it's comic based. Given the era the tower first appeared I'm hoping we finally get an extremis Iron Man armour minifig and some new villains.
  21. I'm not expecting that we'll see a NWH set either but Hasbro has teased a 2nd NWH ML wave and just today a leaked list of Funko-pops came out that included a listing for the 3 spideys. I don't really keep up with those brands tho so maybe their production is just ridiculously fast.
  22. An hour ago you weren't even familiar with any of Marvel's "new" (Chavez has been around for a decade now so I don't think she can be considered new anymore) enough to recognise one of the main cast of Young Avengers but now you can confidently say they're all poorly written and unlikeable? I think for the benefit of us both and to not clog the thread with barley on-topic discussion that will obviously go nowhere this conversation should have ended like 4 posts ago.
  23. That's actually barely true and mostly a talking point used by some less than savoury internet personalities but I feel like getting into that will get us into trouble.
  24. America Chavez, I wouldn't say it's a superhero nobody has ever heard of she's one of the more popular characters for marvels 2010's roster of new characters.
  25. Damn you for putting that idea in my head for a set I now want so badly but know will literally never exist. I know the set from the first Ant-man film played into this idea with the bricks but an Ant-man set that focuses on the idea of 1 large almost life-size item (like the suitcase lab) with the mini-figs representing an actually shrunken down Ant-man and Wasp would be so good.
