Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I'm really excited to see how the Chamber of Secrets looks. I wonder if from the exterior it is made to look like the rocks the castle sits on? I hope the interior isn't cramped. Also, I'm really hoping for a "The Chamber of Secrets has been opened..." wall (like we got in the microscale Hogwarts). Has anyone ever made a MOC of what the current castle would look like with a sand green roof? -

I really want to know if they are going to permanently change to the house crest jumpers from now on. I will have to update so many figures... Also, they wouldn't match the special cardigan figures from the RoR set so I really hope they were simply for the Moments sets. I would welcome more robed uniform figures, however. -

I'd be surprised if it's another Hagrid's Hut already. I expect another eventually (especially since the previous one was even given a sub-title to differentiate it), but doesn't Star Wars even wait longer than two years to do remakes? Although I'd love a Fang... Also, I think Snape's classroom is out due to the fact that it came in January's Moments sets. I think a sensible thing to do would be to look at what's been discontinued. Aragog's Lair and Quidditch Match are both retired from 2018; I could see a new Quidditch set, Aragog seems less likely. Of course we know that the Great Hall and Whomping Willow (and presumably Hogwarts Express, although it's not on Brickfanatics' list) were meant to retire in 2020 but Lego kept producing them because they were selling really well while our governments kept us under house arrest. Expecto Patronum, Hungarian Horntail, Beauxbatons' Carriage and Rise of Voldemort all retired from 2019 (the Knight Bus was meant to join them but was kept in production). I personally can't see them remaking any of those sets yet. -

I'd love these 3 (the last two were on my wishlist for 2021 anyway). -

No matter what comes, I'm incredibly happy with the four confirmed sets. I really wanted a remake of the Chamber of Secrets and the Forbidden Corridor, Hogsmeade was my most wanted non-DA set; and I was desperate for cat Hermione, Crabbe and Goyle (and was worried that ship had sailed after last year's CMF series omission). And given that we have 5 more sets with significant price tags, I'm sure there will at least be a few more sets I'll love (at the least). So abandoning panic mode. -

Agree, I would love these. If not DH, then PS/CoS is my second choice to get as the first two films are the most charming/whimsical and I have fond memories of the original 2001/2 sets. And a sprinkling of POA for good measure, of course. Baaad way. YAAAS. -

What if the $250 set really is a ginormous Hedwig like someone said a few months ago. I would scream. -

Good Lord I'm intrigued and a little anxious. I hope that, whatever happens, we get some nice minifigure scale builds and great figs themselves. -

How could it be disappointing, though? If it's new sets most people will be happy. There's still 5 sets and several have high price tags, so I imagine they'll be good quality sets. I know you can't go into any more details but I see 3 possibilities: either it's something no one here suggested/hoped for, some remakes or something like mosaics/buildable animals that aren't as popular. -

That's the $250 question... If we were to get a Durmstrang Ship/Second Task combined, do you think we'd get two Victors? One in his uniform and one in his swimwear? -

2020/1 in a nutshell. Sigh. What does this mean? A giant $250 mosaic of Hagrid? A $120 portkey boot? -

I wish the next CMF series would have a special theme focusing on figures with a creature/animal. So, like: Someone and Fang Lavender and a Pygmy Puff Luna and a baby Thestral etc. -

I desperately wish they'd make a Harry Potter series based on the books, preferably animated but live action could work. Imagine seeing S.P.E.W. and St. Mungo's. The masterpiece that is GoF could finally have a worthy adaption. Part of me is worried they'd ruin it somehow, though. I mean non-CMF moulds, though. The only things I can think of from last year are the wand case, the centaur legs and flying Hedwig. This year we already know of 5 - McGonagall's hat, Fluffy's head, the Basilisk's head and tail; and Hermione's cat head. -

Good idea! I have a 2020 Neville holding his 2001 Remembrall in my current Philosopher's Stone Hogwarts set-up, but I'd like an updated version. -

Interesting. I wouldn't say it's out of the question. I'd probably try and save up my points towards it, but if it came with great figs or side builds I'd probably buy it straight away. -

I'd BrickLink some more and replace the old ones like I did with Ginny and Bellatrix. I agree, I love it. Here's hoping we'll get some awesome sets at some point. -

If someone is a trusted leaker it is only logical to be worried when said trusted leaker says we shouldn't get our hopes up for DH sets. I think some people need to realise that the internet isn't real life. I can be upset about Lego Harry Potter in a Lego Harry Potter forum, but that doesn't mean that I'm running around like a headless chicken in real life or worrying that the sky is falling in. Just as some people can have opinions on exclusivity without being bad people. Many people are dealing with problems at this point in time, so coming onto a Lego forum and talking about something as insignificant as Lego is a good distraction. Don't take things so seriously. -

This is exactly why I do want a new Victor Krum - so he can come with a proper face print. -

DH Part I has become one of my favourite films of the series, and every time I watch it I imagined the Lego sets. Same for the Battle of Hogwarts. -

Maybe they're cycling through all the films again with 2 per year and we have to wait until 2024 for them to get around to DH. -

I did get the Hogwarts but I regret it and plan on selling it. My issue is that I would have liked a smaller version of the entire castle in microscale (like some of the MOCs I've seen) that would have been a beautiful display piece or a minifigure scale castle (with obviously less ground covered but more detail than regular sets). I do agree that it still looks nice when displayed and I'm glad I have the figures, and I know lots of people love it so I shouldn't complain. But it just isn't for me. -

Oh I know it won't be a microscale Gringotts, I meant if it's something else entirely (like an add-on to the microscale Hogwarts Castle) I would skip buying it because I don't like microscale sets. Sorry if my wording was confusing. -

I'm very curious now about Gringotts. I really hope it's still coming. Although if this is another microscale thing I will save a lot of money. Exactly. This is the tenth anniversary of DH Part II and the twentieth anniversary of PS. So this would have been a perfect year for DH sets.
