Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !
simonjedi replied to SWMAN's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I'm completely shocked at how sudden and uneventful Derek's death was, there's no flash of shock on his face, or dramatic sting of music, or slow motion. He just goes down and the camera doesn't even bother to linger on him.. It was an awesome scene but it was just a throwaway death. I'm glad it wasn't a cliche slowly dying in john's arms sort of thing but, Jesus the babysitter had a better death than him. Beastwizard stuff remains awesome as ever and i really like Dekker's Connor. This HAS to get a 3rd season, I might forgive fox for cancelling Arrested Development. -
what an eggtremely lame pun,

larger pic available of the book. Fig is Luke, not sure what his costume is, i think it'll be ANH medal costume, based on hair, black trousers and tan style torso.

I'm actual prefer the slow CHARACTER DRIVEN story of chapter two, its better than the constant "We're under attack!!111one again by the 50th army in the row, don't worry though 11 people can destroy them easily" the first chapter was. I'd like the story to leave courscant though. This was before we interfered with palps and Dooku's plans and he needs a scapegoat for trexxon. -
From the clone war thread

The Terminator 7/10 Starting to look a bit dated these days and Terminator 2 is much better, but its still a great film.

You've left me behind AGAIN Can you change your post to include me during your rescue attempt. Palpatine actually authorised the arrest, it wasn't a traitor clone. -
Any Tabletop Wargame/RPG players here?
simonjedi replied to simonjedi's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Sisters of battle are a 40k army, "nuns with guns in the GRIMDARK future" is the best way to describe them. They're in Dawn Of War : Soulstorm I have a 'cron force, but its on hold atm. I'm waiting for the codex to be updated. -

As the title says. Does anyone here on Eurobricks a Table top War gamer (Warhammer, 40k ect.) or Tabletop RPG player (Dark heresy, Dungeons and Dragons ect.) If so: What system(s) do you play and what armies you collect/characters you've created. I play Warhammer 40k Orks and i'm thinking of starting Chaos Space Marines. I also play DnD 3.5 and Dark heresy (creating character sheets atm.) I'm interested in a forum game with one of these, if there is enough interest we need a GM plus level one starting characters.

Great review, I've always wanted this set but it came out during the final stages of my dark ages

How did you like the Clone Wars TV series?
simonjedi replied to kill will's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Emphasis mine, it ends too suddenly with no real explanation and leaves questions, why do they need to free Ziro? Who hired them? But overall I did enjoy it, it was a more "adult" episode than previous one, but the episodes need to be longer to make the stories more interesting, am i the only one who thinks palpatine really wanted to go into full Darth sideous mode, when he was locked in his office? -
They're supposed to be those electricity energy ball things the Gungan's threw during the end battle of episode 1. Wookiepedia fails for an image.

That looks really cool, It fits in really well with the official sets.

Were these real LEGO adverts?
simonjedi replied to Minifig Lecturer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The 3 posters in the OP are actually very good and arty. The others are in bad taste. I don't find them funny, but i'm not personally offended by them. -
Looks like a Lego blender.

"Well, that was a waste of time" muttered a clone as the shuttles left the redemption. As Loken had predicted the ship was deserted, however the remnants of the battle that caused the ship to be like that was still around. The clones had found many soldiers who had died defending whatever was on the ship. They had even found a jedi knight half buried in the remains of several battle droids. The group had split up, one squad had gone down to the cargo hold to see what they could salvage while Garviel and the other squad went to the bridge to get the flight records and other data. The only information that Garviel could understand was that the team had found a shard of the relic Dooku was looking for, and it was on its way to the jedi temple before the separatists intercepted it. "We're out of blast range" called the pilot "detonating in 5" We had set charges all over the ship to prevent anything else falling into the wrong hands, light emitted from the holes in the hull and the ship blew apart. Several minutes later the familiar planet of Coruscant appeared, above it was a Battlefleet of capital sheets. "Looks like they've been busy during our absence" smirked a clone. While it wasn't unusual to have large amounts of capital ships over Coruscant, Garviel had never seen this many in orbit. As the shuttles landed in the closest Venator, Garviel's comlink beeped, it was Jim Butcher "About time you got back, check the Holonet, it's important" Garviel acknowledged it and moved towards the holonet receiver. As he got closer to the large group of clones he heard the holonet. "... And our top story tonight is that the outer rim world of Trexxon" said the news castor with a hint of sadness in his tone. "has been completely bombarded by the separatist forces. Early reports from hazard troops have stated the possibility of virus bombs that has been ignited using Turbolaser fire. They have yet to find any survivors. We go live to Chancellor Palpatine's emergency broadcast to the senate." The image flickered to Palpatine "When i heard about the bombing of Trexxon, I was shocked to hear that someone who was once a respected member of the jedi order could do such a thing as he has done, and as much as I regret saying this, the blame could not be fully on his shoulders. It has come to my attention that groups that have been helping the republic, which were not authorised by me were on the planet moments before it was destroyed. I will now pass a bill to ban all groups from being formed, while all active groups will disbar and will be placed under arrest..." Garviel never heard the rest, as he heard the whine of several clone blasters charging up and aimed at him, he reluctantly put his hand up.

Am I the only one still watching? I did enjoy "Some Must Watch, While Some Must Sleep" the Dream/Real sequences was quite well done. Still no Beastwizard, but Summer Glau in her undies made it alright ;) -

Do you think we'll get a Lego LotR or Lego Hobbit brand?
simonjedi replied to Dollar Bill's topic in LEGO Licensed
