I would like to get some sets from that time period, but I cant afford it. All the sets in my collection I have owned since they were new on store shelves. Once I pay off my student loan then I might add a few more sets.

I like it. It's not too over the top with complex buildings and scenery. Great job.

The rear of the castle is very open but I dont see that as detracting from the overall build and design. I think it's a beautiful castle, (probably the nicest Lego has released, in my opinion). I feel that the castle is unfairly critized for its "open concept" design. Lego was and is meant to be played with so having a tight castle with lots of high walls will severly limit the mobility of the minifigures and would make for an unpleasant playing experience for children, who I believe are the target demographic for Lego. I think the spacious design of the castle adds to its beauty. It's fun to set up a lot of the mini figures inside the castle, waiting to march out to war, or set up horses in there for a makeshift stable. There is also some room for MOC in there, like a small black smith and what not

Hello Everyone, Ive made a few posts in this forum so I figured it's time to show my collection. It's not very impressive. I mostly have sets between Wolfpack and the Dark Forest. I recently bought the MMV and Mill Village Raid to add to my collection. I also have a few mini figures packs from the early 90's, so I also have a few black falcons and crusaders. I hope to take pictures of each individual set in the coming days and I'll put them in this thread.

I have three or four of these. There isn't much too them, but they do make for a pretty formidable defense.

The Lego Dragon Knights Sets 1993-1995

I'm fortunate that I own most of the Dragon Masters sets and I think your review is pretty spot on. The Dark Dragons Den gets quite a bad reputation among Lego fans but I agree with you that if it's viewed as an outpost, rather than a castle, it becomes a much more enjoyable set. The Fire Breathing Fortress is really nice in person. I like the large area where the trap door is; many mini-figs can fit there. -
I really enjoy it. It's nice to see someone incorporate the "classic" Lego sets along with the figures into a MOC.

Great work.

Maybe its just me, but I see some similarities.

I really like this set. It provides the feeling of an outpost in a forest. The main building is on the small side, but I think it has great play value. At the time of release, other castle sets didn't provide much in the way of living quarters and this set is a nice touch with the small table and goblets as well as the stable and room below the jail.

I own this set and I think its a great for a smaller fortress building. There is a good selection of mini figs, the BURPS do detract somewhat from the set, but they do make it feel as if its in a large cave. The cloth flags that are included are really nice and mine have lasted a long time.

I own this set. It's not the most glamorous looking set, but it comes with 4 minifigures and the well is a nice touch. I really like the rotating catapult. I think it fits in well with the forstman since a lot of their old buildings are partial rock structures.

I'm fortunate to own the Wolfpack Tower. I always thought it was created to look like the head of a Wolf.

The Lego Black Knights Sets 1988-1993

My good friend has had 6086 since the initial released and I've lusted over it ever since. I think I'll have to break down soon and buy one off bricklink -
Great Job! It reminds me of something the foresters / dark forest could bet set in, with the rural feel and the hidden passages.

I really like the look of this MOC. It reminds me a lot of a classic castle set

I have no idea where to find LEGO in Toronto. I haven't bought a set in forever. I might make the plunge and buy the Medieval market villiage online, but for in store, i have no idea.

Oh man that's like a 5 min walk from my part time job. at least I'll know where all my money will be going.
-
That's a great collection. It's refreshing to see someone keep the older sets intact and not create MOC's with them.

Hi Everyone, My name is Matthew and I'm a 28 year old life long LEGO fan. I was given my first LEGO set when I was about 4 years old, the Blacktron Battrax 6941 (http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6941-1) and I've been hooked ever since. I mostly have Space from Space Police to the Exploriens and Castle from the Wolfpack to the Royal Knights. My other interests are environmental issues, hiking, jogging, motorcycle riding / repair and listening to the police radio.

I think the blood is great. It really gives it that anime feel.
