  1. Same. Hopefully it's a really well designed display piece, since I have a ton of 501sts which will man it nicely, but it's still annoying.
  2. Yeah I know it was kinda wishing on a star but it would have been nice. I guess I was hoping it would have been more Falcon-style where it's a mix of a playset and a display set but I guess that comes with the $800 price tag. That's actually super true and I can't believe I didn't think of that. Putting Cody in this set would be like making the 501st pack $100. Yeah I guess I got caught up in the hype around this set. I'll still probably grab it, and grab another 501st pack or two to man it.
  3. So MandR hopped on the Windu and red clone rumor, so that’s looking unfortunately more likely. Honestly, I get the “UCS isn’t about the figures or play features” and “it was never going to have a million clones” but come on. P2 Cody and a few 212ths would have been a no brainer. At least enough clones to man the ship would have made sense. I seriously hope this is a fake rumor; I don’t have Windu or this rumored clone captain but holy smokes.
  4. "a lull in Star Wars content" did we watch the same Disney Investor Day? that's not going to be a thing until like 2026 at the EARLIEST. the idea is solid though, and therefore Lego will do the exact opposite of that.
  5. MandR and some leakers on Insta confirmed it. I’m pretty sure it’s safe. Plus, this wave seems to be about Lego ceasing from being abject fools about Star Wars so I don’t think they’ll screw it up by using the old mold.
  6. So random question, I know we have none of the set pictures but at a guess, do you think the Lambda, Fang and 2021 S1 will all scale together? Or will the 20th Ann. S1 scale better with the Lambda and Fang? I’m just wondering bc I have the 20th Ann and couldn’t care less about the 2021 version but if it scales better I might grab it.
  7. The shuttle undercarriage is ROUGH. I don’t have a shuttle and am really kicking myself for not snapping up a Tydirium before they skyrocketed because this thing is gonna need a hell of a lot of modding. If he doesn’t have arm printing in an 18+ collector’s display set Lego will have officially lost their minds. I’m not even buying that set but seriously.
  8. I do get that feeling, especially when he complains about stuff like box art or instruction manuals or his insufferable vlogs. He's a rich kid who's figured out how to get richer buying toys. His leaks tend to be good though and I find him mildly entertaining so I still watch his stuff Edit: in an effort to make this comment not solely about bashing MandR, what's the price tag on the imperial shuttle going to be? I've heard 70 or 80, was wondering if anyone knew specifically.
  9. Ugh that's really scummy. Leaks are just part of Lego culture at this point, there's no reason for fans to attack creators for leaking them, we WANT those leaks! Well I guess my wallet is gonna take a beating come August...
  10. Will all of this wave be August releases? Or will it be spread out like the Winter wave?
  11. That is really great to know, I didn't feel like trying to get to Walmart on a Sunday to get the Mando fighter.
  12. All of them except the Slave One bc I have the 20th. I’ll also skip the helmets and R2
  13. For everyone saying “it’s a wishlist, it’s too good to be true”, Ryan has seen the images, allegedly, which means there’s a catalog kicking around somewhere, which means this is probably at least 90% accurate.
  14. Basically this wave seems to be Lego going “oh wow Clone Wars and Mando are what people want” and I am very happy about that. And they’ve managed to balance with the OT sets for new fans which is also great. Now I’m going to have to figure out how to get them before they all get bought by scalpers and sold for more then a small car.
  15. I am hoping and praying it’s an Arquitens because if it isn’t LEGO’s lost their damn minds.
  16. $20 and 147 pieces is saying slightly larger battle pack to me. Then again I want a battle pack so I’m biased, and there’s a good chance (probably a better chance) it’s a duel.
  17. I'm guessing the former. It makes more sense for the piece point, otherwise the thing would be insanely big. Big is usually better but there is a tipping point and an 11,000 piece MBS DSII is way past that tipping point.
  18. I understand hoarding popular sets to resell when they're retired and people want them again because you can make a genuine profit there but yes right at release is stupid.
  19. dude you weren't supposed to say it out loud
  20. TLG has said as much. They want to do a UCS AT-AT really bad but the scaling is borderline impossible. With something like the Falcon or the ISD, they can be given a stand/landing gear. An AT-AT, half the model IS the landing gear, and they don't get extra support. Also, building vertical is much harder then building horizontally, especially at that size, so I wouldn't be surprised if we never see a UCS AT-AT, as much as I would absolutely LOVE one. They're my favorite ship, but the 2020 playset is probably as good as they'll get.
  21. It's not trying to be a centerpiece set, it's meant as a part of a larger display, and it's absolutely beautiful as such.
  22. Interesting that I wasn't the only one who thought the TIE was a repetitive build. It looks really nice for the size and in comparison to my AT-AT and AT-ST, tho. The storm helmet is ridiculous, especially next to my 2015 one, but the TIE Pilot's helmet is gorgeous.
  23. Does anyone have a link to the pictures? I can't find them for the life of me.
