Well, TLG canceled 60278. That doesn't mean that fe. 60308 won't be something redesigned. But if you ask me, redesign would be like pointing the finger what was wrong with their 60278. If it was on leaked catalog (preliminary images) without presentation of the set we were able to think it will be some kind of exclusive. Lego made a box, instructions probably and they added it into Friends instructions. Everyone had hope it will be released on March 1st. But I guess they had doubts, maybe they had some additional PR/marketing/lawyers advices with the Winter City wave. We know about this cancelation only because BrickFanatics asked TLG about that set. I bet they made decision on December. Shame, really shame.

I'm not sure it is Daisy, imo it is Big Betty (in that small red car) and there is Vito (looking out from window at 1st floor).

I was wondering if helicopter's coaxial rotors could be a reason for cancelation? If each set of rotors is turning in opposite directions(if they invented such mechanism) and fe. a kid will put there a finger... then...well... ouch! Maybe they won't admit it and they covered it with unspoken reason.

As someone said here few pages back, 'raid' can be serious reason of their decision. Most of police sets: police chasing crooks. Police side is a good side, crooks bad side. But here... crooks are just sitting in their hideout and police doing the raid (police side becomes bad side in that case). I mean, they are not chasing, not protecting. And in the matter of general police meaning by kids that would be something inappropriate, that's why TLG said 'we have decided not to launch this product as we no longer feel it is in keeping with the values of the LEGO CITY brand'. Raid is simply something bad.

Kudos! I still have my faith and this is some positive news to me. I read, brickfanatics.com has also send some question about 60278 to TLG and they are waiting for some kind of reply.

So, we are only 1 day till March 1st and as it was said before, it is clear that we won't get the Crooks Hideout. However on the other hand, it is not so obvious as TLG can still make some quiet release as exclusivity but... they won't be able to cover the fact, that the set contains some bomb factory building which is not good in the terms of world terrorism. Personally I don't see it that way but everyone could say 'hey, Lego promotes terrorism'. I'm wondering if they really can cancel the set having almost everything (quite huge project is finished with the instruction (<- probably) and the box ready - I mean it is not at preliminary image stage). Yes, Lego dynamite or bomb parts already exist. And even in the latest police station, we can blow out the prison crates with the dynamite. So if 60278 is/will be canceled due to the bomb theme, this could sound like hypocrisy to me. But bomb factory, if someone will think that way, is maybe too much then? But overall I am sad because I am hyped for this set. I love it as a whole thing and I am ready to purchase it.

So I was kinda right with my predictions about road plates, that they can be in different colors, imitating surfaces. Cool. And it would be really nice to have both these new, unique helicopters, one from Wild life 60302 and second from... Crooks Hideout. I wished...

60297 yellow bike is pretty dope. I will definitely buy 60302 (that elephant is amazing indeed, and finally new, not-police/fire heicopter). Are there some Speed Champions sets as well?

I have bad feelings about 60278 Crooks Hideout. 12 days left until March 1st and there is no official news. I don't like to be pessimist and still have hope, however... I compared Lego Friends 41444 online instructions; one from early January (left side) and second from present day (right side). And well... it seems like TLG made some changes on the last pages. Sad but take a look by yourself guys:
