Childish Landino was the source, and they were one of the people reporting that we’re only getting two figures in the Snubfighter. -

I keep up with Star Wars rumors very closely and have never heard a scoop from him. The people he associates with and the sites that run his stories are questionable to say the least, not to mention their clear biases, so forgive my skepticism. Also, there’s the fact that his claims are easily disproven by reality. That’s kind of a biggie. I’m not getting emotional about any of his so-called “leaks”. I simply don’t fall for obvious BS from internet grifters with an ax to grind, but feel free to keep on deluding yourself. -

Those two pirate figures from the Snubfighter look pretty cool, but apparently they're the only two coming in the set, which is pretty lame in my opinion. For $35, Lego could have easily thrown in 1-2 more figures. I think that by not including a main character like Mando or Greef, this set is going to do a lot more poorly than it could have otherwise. While I like the design of the Snubfighter, I don't think it's a super eye catching one and the two pirate figures probably aren't going to draw a lot of people to the set either. That's disappointing, but I guess this set would still be a good one for army building depending on prominent this gang of pirates ends up being. (Beyond the rest of Season 3, I could definitely see them carrying onto the Skeleton Crew series.) Since he's not coming here, I worry that Season 3 Greef will be passed up in favor for other figures, as I don't see him coming in the TIE Interceptor/Fang Fighter set. Hopefully he'll be in the other set coming later this year. At least we'll be seeing the Fang Fighter and the N-1 microfighter revealed this week according to Childish Landino. As for the Swamp Speeder discussion, r/legoleaks mod u/itsjustajoe mentioned the possibility of Phase 2 Rex and Luminara being included in the Swamp Speeder, but that's a very iffy rumor at the moment. Weird inclusions but I certainly wouldn't be disappointed if those two were included, though I'm not super worried about Luminara as I have the 2016 figure. At this point, I'm 50/50 on either Aayla, Bly and the 327th or Rex and some random assortment of figures being included in the Swamp Speeder. -

That’s my point. The sets are due out in less than a month and we’ve heard nothing. The sets still aren’t revealed and Lego hasn’t said anything about Indiana Jones, outside of that one teaser you refer to which was from one specific retail catalog. That’s been the only acknowledgment at all. It’s incredibly strange, especially compared to Mario, Avatar or Minions, which got press releases far in advance. *That* is fanfare. Unceremoniously dropping them like they’re any other wave of sets does nothing to raise excitement or hype for the fans. That’s what I’m talking about with how lackluster Lego tends to be with their marketing. -

Amazing. Every word of what you’ve just said… is wrong. I’ve never heard of this Kamran Pasha fellow before but a quick Google search tells me that he’s nothing more than yet another grifter spreading lies about how Lucasfilm is going to retcon the sequels. Anyone who associates with the likes of Geeks and Gamers immediately loses any credibility in my eyes. No matter how much a sizable portion of the audience was disappointed in those films, and no matter how much an army of fans will relentlessly complain about them on the internet, it’s just not going to happen. The films made billions of dollars and as is, Galaxy’s Edge is massively successful. There’s no reason to change it after only four years, as most park goers clearly don’t care what era the rides are set in as they always have super long waits. It’s also laughable that this idea of The Mandalorian and its connected series retconning the sequels is still a thing. Did you miss the big connection to TROS in the Season 3 premiere a couple of days ago? Or the numerous other references and connections in the shows already, as well as some of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s comments regarding connections to those films? Stop spreading misinformation. All of that aside, I do recommend Kylo Ren’s TIE Silencer @Fulcrumfan91. It’s a cool model and I don’t think Lego is going to remake it in the near future. If anything, I think they’d prioritize his TIE Whisper from TROS since they never got around to making it, but that’s probably not happening soon either. -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Well, this is certainly a mixed bag. On one hand, these sets we are getting look fantastic! I was someone who kinda had mixed feelings when we first got leaked pictures a while back, but these clearer pictures have reassured me. I thought the sets themselves looked good, I just felt that something was off about them but not anymore. I’m impressed with the detail and charm that these sets have. The fact that the TLC set has Henry’s umbrella and his journal as a printed 1x1 is great, and I also love how the plane has a function where the wings can come off like when it flies into the tunnel in the film. The Temple of the Golden Idol in particular is just a masterpiece in my opinion. The original set is one of my white whales and while that one still holds a special place in my heart, this set is practically perfect in my eyes. It’s so well detailed, it perfectly represents every part of that scene from the film and the play features are just splendid. The way the boulder functions is just fascinating. Really my only problem with these three sets is a problem I’ve had with a lot of Lego figures recently. It feels kinda silly to complain about because, well, these *are* toys, but I feel like a lot of recent minifigures have felt a little too… stylized or cartoonish? I don’t know how to explain it but it comes down to a lot of the facial expressions. The minifigures look good overall but some of them could have been better. I honestly feel like the Henry Jones Sr. figure is a step down from the 2008 one in detailing and especially with the weird way his beard looks on the new figure. This is just me nitpicking though. On the other hand, however, I’m really disappointed with how Lego seems to be handling this revival. For starters, there’s zero fanfare at all. I know that up until this fifth film, Indy has been kinda irrelevant in the eyes of the public and kids especially, but it’s still one of the most iconic film franchises ever. And a Lego theme revival has been highly requested for several years. It feels like they’re just quietly dumping these sets onto shelves. Lego’s incompetence with leaks is not new or surprising, but it’s pretty sad that our first good look at these sets are from them showing up on store shelves early. Now here we are, less than a month away from when some of these sets are supposed to be releasing and what’s happening? Outside of one retail catalog, Lego hasn’t acknowledged Indy at all. And one of the four sets we were supposed to be getting next month is apparently getting cancelled, and I guarantee that Lego will try to sweep it under the rug since it was just a leak. Personally, I felt like the set did the best it could to avoid the problematic elements of TOD while still being a good representation of the film itself, so I’m pretty disappointed that all signs are pointing to it being cancelled, not delayed. I’ve touched on this before but I still think it’s downright idiotic that Lego designed and produced an entire set before changing their mind and deciding that now it suddenly crosses their arbitrarily drawn lines in the sand. You’re a multi-billion dollar company, how are you that inept? You couldn’t have thought of this before you green lit the thing? And to make matters worse, the Indy 5 sets are also either getting cancelled or are in an otherwise questionable state? Specifically the sets related to Indy 5, which is the whole reason this theme revival is even happening? This revival that has gone from 8 sets to just 7 to potentially only 3 now? As great as the three sets we’re confirmed to be getting are, I feel that Lego has really dropped the ball here. Big time. Sorry if this sounds overly cynical or whiny. It’s just incredibly frustrating how sloppy and disappointing Lego has been recently. This was something me and many others were looking forward to, and it feels like a lot of the excitement is evaporating with every update we get, especially since Lego is radio silent. I feel like they’ve been doing a half-assed job in a lot of areas in the last few years since the pandemic, especially this past year. It feels like they’re rushing a lot of things out, raising prices to such ridiculous amounts and I feel that their increased sales in the COVID era kinda encouraged this sloppiness. Their marketing has always been kinda underwhelming to me but even moreso recently. As someone who used to defend Lego on a lot of their decisions, I’m finding myself more and more baffled by a lot of what they’ve been doing. -

I honestly enjoyed building the Goat Boat more than I enjoyed watching the film itself. It’s one of the few Marvel sets since the Summer 2021 wave that I particularly like, even if I feel no attachment towards it now after seeing the movie. -

As much as I want a new Rex figure, I’m taking this Swamp Speeder rumor with a grain of salt. It’s only one Instagram account saying this and it sounds more like an assumption that a confirmation to me. The Executor is… fine. It looks really good and everything, I’m just really disinterested in most 18+ sets at this point. And $70 for that thing? Really? If I can find a good deal on it or if I have a bunch of VIP points saved up, I might consider it. And I still feel pretty solid about my guesses for the minifigure lineup for the first two Mando S3 sets after today’s episode. That’s not what the rumor is. It’s also not something I would see Lego doing ahead of the series. Even if it’s not actually spoilery, Lego would probably wait to do something like what you suggest that regardless. -
These are all fantastic, I could definitely see Lego making that Darth Vader diorama.

The "High Ground" scene is arguably the most iconic scene in those films. It also being a meme doesn't mean every single Star Wars scene that's also a meme will be a hot seller. -

Well, the $200 set clearly isn't for kids. It exists because Lego has become obsessed with targeting that casual adult crowd ever since the pandemic started and they think that that audience mostly only cares about these (in my opinion) lame and boring busts and buildable objects versus large playsets. I don't understand why they chose Chewbacca to do one of these with, and I expect it to do as poorly as the Black Panther bust. As for the Yoda Interceptor, I have no clue what Lego was thinking there, aside from throwing out an easy way to get Yoda and R2 or maybe it does have something to do with Young Jedi Adventures like someone else pointed out. That's just silly. Lego doesn't hate any of the movies but with a franchise as massive as Star Wars, you can't represent every piece of content equally. The OT, Mando and any new live-action content and, more recently, TCW/ROTS are their bread and butter; everything beyond that is secondary. TPM and AOTC are two of the least popular films in the franchise, and as others have pointed out, a lot of the vehicle designs and characters are shared with the more popular TCW/ ROTS. You also seem to be confusing the prequels' popularity in meme/nerd culture with their overall perception everywhere. Those movies are nowhere on the same level as the OT and even The Mandalorian in the eyes of most. That man only wears drip. He has a glorious new outfit every season and we need Lego to make a figure for every single one. -
I’d say that the Jedi Starfighter is a better value and build (and all of the figures are currently exclusive, versus the Din Djarin face, Peli and the BD droid in the N-1) but if you can find a good deal on the N-1 and have the pieces to make some modifications to it like I did with mine, I’d go with that one. I regretfully paid full price for mine, but I still had a really fun time modifying it.

Well, it’s not like there are a lot of small clone vehicles to choose from. The AT-RT, BARC Speeder, Fighter Tank, Swamp Speeder and, in the case of the newer 501st set, a shrunken down AV-7 cannon pretty much cover all the clone-centric builds Lego could include in these pseudo-battle packs. Whether people were asking for any given vehicle is somewhat irrelevant, the factor that draws people in are whatever clone figures are included. (And as unintentionally funny as it is, “I don’t like sand” is definitely not one of the most iconic film lines of all time.) I somewhat agree with the general idea of what you’re saying though, just not specifically to the prequels. I do think Lego makes some pretty baffling decisions sometimes, especially this summer with sets like another Yoda’s Starfighter and the buildable Chewbacca. (I’d even argue that, even though I’m excited for it, it’s still a bit of an odd time to do Yavin IV as well, when it seems like there’s so much demand for other sets that could have filled that $160 range at this time.) Even though I think Lego *generally* has a good pulse on what the fans want, and what will also sell with kids, I still find myself questioning the logic behind some of their decisions. Adding onto this, we also got the 501st set (the first one that is) revealed in the middle of TCW Final Season’s run and the Bad Batch Shuttle revealed shortly after that show began the following year. I definitely think we’re going to see these May/Mando sets very soon. I’m curious to see what new figures we get between these two sets and what their distribution will be. I’m guessing: -Some generic pirate, an updated Greef Carga and some other third figure in the Snubfighter. -An updated Bo-Katan, that leaked Death Watch Mandalorian, a reused TIE Pilot, reused Mando (with updated helmet printing and potentially a new darksaber mold) and reused Grogu in the Interceptor Vs. Fang Fighter set. With how prominent The Armorer and Paz Vizsla are in the marketing for Season 3, it kinda seems poorly timed for Lego to have retired that Mandalorian Forge set at the end of last year. (Kind of like how they retired the Bad Batch Shuttle days before Season 2 began.) I wonder if we’ll see them reuse those two figures in either of these sets or the one coming out in the summer. -

Skeleton Crew most likely isn’t releasing until very late this year so I wouldn’t expect any sets until next year. Most of the Disney+ shows haven’t had sets release until after the fact. I could be wrong though, and maybe that could be the reason why the details of this set are still unknown. After all, I thought a Phase 2 Rex fig, a new Gunship and more Fallen Order/Survivor stuff were all a no brainer for 2023 and here we are… And as for the Geonosis discussion, do we really think Lego is going to dedicate one of the most expensive Star Wars sets yet and what could be the biggest playset thus far to the Petranaki Arena of all places? It’s a fairly memorable scene and I do think it’ll get a set eventually, but I do not see it being done at this size or at this time. I know the prequels are fairly well liked now, but AOTC is still one of the least popular films. Lego hardly touches it as it is; to think that they’ll dedicate a $600+ set to it now is a bit ridiculous in my opinion. Even as someone who’d like to see the Arena someday, I still think the build would be a bit dull as most of the arena is just stands for a countless number of Geonosians, which Lego obviously can’t include that many in the set. Personally, the only way I see this set being a playset or MBS set of some sort is if it’s another Death Star, and even then, they might want to change things up with this version instead of retreading the 2008 set for the second time. -

I don’t think that it’d be that poor of a decision, certainly not from the financial side. The Mandalorian is huge and I fully believe that a UCS Mando N-1 would sell better than a Naboo one. Not that a TPM version would do poorly, I just think that the Mandalorian/Grogu association would draw a much bigger crowd at this time. The Razor Crest is probably one of the few occasions that Lego has dedicated a Star Wars UCS set to such a recent property (aside from the inclusion of a few ST figures in the Falcon and a few of the early UCS sets that were prequel-based) and that’s purely because of how much of a hit The Mandalorian has been. In any case though, I’m not predicting a UCS model of this coming until maybe 2024 or more likely 2025 anyway. It took us about three years to get the UCS Razor Crest but that would also be a much more complex design. Promobricks specified both Luke and R2 as the minifigures coming with the set. If Lego doesn’t include a properly scaled R2 to actually go in the X-Wing, you could always try to find the May 4th polybag from a few years ago. Speaking of Luke, I love the dual molding and arm printing on him. Kinda funny that it’s a better version of Luke than what you can get in the UCS AT-AT, which is about $600 more. (Granted, Luke shouldn’t even be wearing his X-Wing pilot outfit in that set. He should be wearing the Snowspeeder jumpsuit.) -

I’m also good with this news. Aside from R2-D2, we’ve been on a hot streak of new UCS/MBS concepts for the last three years. (The Cantina, Gunship, AT-AT, Razor Crest, A-Wing and Landspeeder were all things that have never been made at this scale before.) This is one of the few UCS remakes we’ve gotten in recent memory. I see a lot of people going “oh, another X-Wing?” but given that it’s been ten years since the last one, I think that it’s okay. I believe that Lego should always have at least the Falcon, X-Wing and TIE Fighter available at all times, both at a UCS scale and playset scale. As for me, I’m usually not that interested in UCS sets unless they’re something that should be really big, like the Star Destroyer or Falcon, or are minifigure scale, like the AT-AT, Slave One or Razor Crest. That being said, a UCS-sized X-Wing and TIE Fighter are things I’d want for my collection. I’ll probably get this one sometime before it retires. I’m guessing we’ll get a standard TIE and Mando’s N-1 for the next two May UCS sets. -

Maybe it was. I just know it’s shinier and more reflective after he gets the makeover in Chapter 3, which is why Lego uses different colors for the helmet depending on which version it is. -

This seems to have slipped under the radar, so I don’t if it’s legit or not, but the Instagram account cyberfig posted an image of an updated Din Djarin figure with printing on his Beskar helmet to match the Durasteel one from the UCS Razor Crest. Presumably this will be coming in one of the May sets, along with that other leaked Mandalorian figure from last week. -
I wonder if this could be the DC equivalent to Marvel’s Daily Bugle from a few years ago. A celebration of the biggest hero from that franchise with a giant, intricate playset. The giant penny and dinosaur are things they have to include and as for minifigures, given the price, I’d expect a majority of the main Batfamily to be included. Batman (plus Bruce Wayne) and Alfred obviously, but it’d be great to get at least a few of the others too: Dick, Jason, Tim, Damian, Barbara, Steph and Cass. I wouldn’t be surprised at some additional Batsuits or even some villains to be included here.

Maybe saying we’re owed an explanation is a bit much, but I can understand the sentiment. People were really anticipating this Indy relaunch for a very long time and to quote Lando Calrissian, now it seems that “this deal is getting worse all the time!” Lay off a bit. There’s no need to be so condescending. They’re clearly not just referencing the potential TOD cancellation, but also whatever is going on with the Indy 5 sets. -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I don’t think that’d warrant a change, especially in a case as odd as this one. The movie’s been set for June 30 for over a year now so I don’t know why they’d change the release date, especially since these four April sets aren’t even the ones tying in with the new film. Theoretically, those could release at any time, especially since they’ve probably been ready for quite a while now. I just think all this uncertainty and the talk of a potential delay or outright cancellation of not just one but FIVE of the original eight sets that were rumored is so strange and unprecedented. As for Indy 5 specifically, it’s not like there’s a lack of set material just going off of the trailers. I did think it was a little odd that Lego wasn’t even mentioned in the press release for new Indy merch a couple weeks ago (even if I wasn’t expecting full-on set reveals then), but now I’m wondering if there was more to it. -
Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
The Stud replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Honestly, the fact that I need to be really picky with my Lego spending this year, and with the Marvel burnout finally catching up to me recently, I feel better about mostly dropping this theme for the foreseeable future. It’s funny how I was casually into Marvel for a while but couldn’t get into the Lego sets because I found the theme to be kinda lackluster. Then in 2020 when I got really into the MCU during COVID times, I started collecting the sets I did like and then in 2021, when everyone was still on that Marvel high, Lego had the strongest year for the theme in a while, with the Daily Bugle, the Infinity Saga line, the first CMF series and the first Advent Calendar. And then almost immediately, Lego seems to have lost that momentum in 2022 and 2023. The oversaturation of mediocre 18+ sets and lame buildable objects like Thor’s Hammer, the Black Panther bust, Hulkbuster and now Cap’s Shield play a big role in my recent disinterest for the theme. With a few exceptions, like Gargantos and the Goat Boat, a lot of the smaller sets haven’t been that interesting or good either, and to make matters worse I haven’t been loving a lot of the source material either. The prices have also been even worse than usual. As it stands, there’s still a fair number of sets I plan on getting this year. From last year, I still need to get the Sanctum Sanctorum and I’m saving up my VIP points to get the Iron Man Armory just to keep my Lego Iron Man collection going. I also like the recent Quinjet and from the upcoming sets, I only plan on getting the NWH set and the new CMF series. I was considering the new Guardians sets as well until I saw how inaccurate the Bowie is and how mediocre Rocket’s ship looks. If this new giant Marvel D2C is actually something good like Avenger’s Tower, that’s something I’d probably get but not for a long while, as I’m also pretty burnt out on expensive D2Cs in general. They’re just not as cool or special as before. Beyond those sets I mentioned, Marvel’s going back to being a theme I only collect on occasion. -

I'm not sure if they’re going to be changing the movie’s release date anymore. They’ve already started their marketing for it and if they were going to change the date for it, they would have done it when Disney shifted Haunted Mansion and The Marvels around the other day. Besides, I haven’t heard anything to suggest any of the other toy or merchandise lines are in limbo or facing any problems. Just Lego for some reason. In any case though, I’m probably letting some of my recent frustrations with Lego make me jump to conclusions here. We’ll learn more very soon anyways. -

Based. How? People have been clamoring for the return of Lego Indy for over a decade, I just don’t understand how Lego could (potentially) be screwing up this revival? Now I’m just imagining that scene from the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark but with all these Lego Indiana Jones sets. -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

That’s true but it’s not like either the sets from the original line or this new line were depicting any of those elements. Both the original and newer sets were careful to only depict the scene of Indy taking the Sankara Stones and the mine cart chase. Look, I agree that delaying/cancelling the set (assuming that’s what’s happening) is absurd but complaining about the “wOkE pC mOb” is never not going to be cringeworthy. It’s possible that there’s more to this than any potential offensiveness or cultural insensitivity, like a structural flaw (which may have played a bigger role in the cancellation of the Ospery at least) or changing the design to remove the depiction of Kali.
