  1. Finally all ordered minifies arrived and I found some time for my personal take on Cobb Vanth. So here it is. Minifigure: Hair: Han Solo old (sw0841) Head: Star Lord (sh123) Torso: Boba Fett (sw0822) Arms: Nexo Knight (nex086) Legs: Hans solo old (sw0841) Accessories: Jetpack: Boba Fett (sw0822) Helmet: Boba Fett (sw0822) Scarf: Scarf Ninjago Bordeaux Red (15619) slightly worked to see the face. Blaster: custom
  2. Did you notice that it is not only an armprint, but the shoulder plate of Mando also has the print of the mudhorn. How ingenious is that! Day One purchase!
  3. The red 75175 is an RZ1 A-Wing, as used by the rebellion. This Version has been shorter und a bit wider than the newer green 75248 RZ2, used by the Resistance. Lego realized this very difference quite nicely as far as I think.
  4. New subtleties. A detailed moisture vaporizer (based on the model from Mos Eisley Cantina) to add a little more depth and perspective. Instead, the small white evaporator has moved to the background, next to Kuiil's hut. Kuiils has also received glasses and a Probe Droid is now on its way in the area.
  5. 75244 Tantive IV and now awaiting February and The Mandalorian Hero Vehicle Until then I'm done with Star Wars/LEGO sets for this year.
  6. @macaron35 it's not high enough for an X-Wing or Y-Wing by default. But it's pretty easy to use the build technique of the struts to double their length. Requires only all parts of the struts again. As soon as done so, it will fit an X-Wing below the walkway. The with has to me enlarged by 8 nubs, which indeed is quite easy as well.
  7. Thank you. A nice build indeed. And a nice way to present a part of my minifigures in a different way, or to equip a hangar on Hoth.
  8. Hello everyone, it's me again with a current Rebrick of the Mocers G-Vortex. Today with the "Working Platform for UCS Hoth Base" (https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-11827/G-Vortex/working-platform-for-ucs-hoth-base/#comments). It was clear to me right from the start that this can't be the size of a real UCS version (see photos). In this respect I find the name a bit misleading. But the platform fits perfectly to my model of the Snowspeeder (75049) and into the showcase behind the starfighters. Therefore I decided to order the bricks and build it myself. All in all a nice MOC, with a very pleasant construction. Especially the struts, on which the platform rests, are in my opinion extremely well done and an absolute eye-catcher. I also decided to use light grey parts instead of the dark grey parts for the railing. Somehow I like it better this way. I also used ladders on both sides instead of only on one side (as described in the manual), because I have a preference for symmetry. A few key facts about the MOC Parts: 231 Construction time: approx. 30 minutes Costs: 22 - 25 EUR
  9. 75092 Naboo Starfighter complete including original box for 59 EUR via eBay, LEGO bricks & parts for a working platform to give my starfighters in the showcase the atmosphere of a hangar. Furthermore bricks and parts for another evaporator for my Mandalorian Outpost Diorama (and yes, it will never be finished ... :-))
  10. Thanks mate. I will keep you up to date here as soon as all described changes have been implemented. I already have one. And I have to say that I like it much better already.
  11. As it is always the case with me, after a week of being able to see the result every day, I am not quite satisfied with the color. So I ordered some more parts and will exchange the two black 48933 Wedge Plates for dark grey. The same goes for the 1x1 90 degree elbows. And last but not least I will exchange the old 3403 4x4 turntable, which holds the engines, for the new, more stable version, the 61485 4x4 turntable.
  12. A huge amount of bricks and parts via LEGO directly to finish some rebricks of known MOCs on my list, like the Dowager Queen, as an extension of my Mos Eisley Cantina and a Working Platform for the area of my showcase, which houses numerous star hunters of the Rebel/Resistance.
  13. Hello everyone, today I present you a small review of my section of the Dowager Queen (MOC-53798 from 6211 on rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-53798/6211/dowager-queen-75290-expansion-mos-eisley-cantina/#comments), which I have rebuilt as an extension to my 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina. Since some parts were not available in the right color, or only at highly overpriced prices, I decided to change the colors and give the Queen my own personal touch. I am very happy with the result and on top of that - behind the Cantina in my showcase - it looks great. The following are some of the key points of the MOC: 541 pieces 1 hour construction time 13cm deep x 20cm long and 25cm high In short, 6211 has chosen the perfect dimensions to fit into a diorama consisting of the Queen and the Cantina. The version of the Dowager Queen is the version from the Battlefront games, not the one from the movie. But that doesn't bother me personally. Quite the opposite.
  14. It brings back memories. Reminds me of the Victorian Walled Garden of Kylemore Abby in Ireland. As an absolute fan of Ireland, wanderlust comes up immediately.
  15. As a collector, I can't get anything out of the new TIE Fighter (proportions don't fit), nor the new X-Wing (too square and boxy and the lasers just look modest). Certainly a good step to market playsets aimed at children again, but for me both models are a NoGo.
  16. It does indeed. So it was immediately clear to me that I would build it when I stumbled upon the design. I bought and downloaded the manual directly and ordered the bricks the next day. The only thing I was missing were the landing skids and the possibility to put it on a display stand. But for that you have your own creativity.
  17. Hello everyone, some weeks ago I bought and downloaded the manual of the classic - and for me best - Z-95 Headhunter of the Designer Moppo (MOC-30461) from Rebrickable (link to the MOC: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-30461/Moppo/z95-headhunter/#parts). After I had all the parts together and could start building, I soon realized that the MOC was not suitable to be placed next to all the others in my showcase on an acrylic display stand, as the photo of the bottom side shows. In order to present it next to my other models and MOCs, I ordered a suitable Medium Angled Acrylic Display Stand with a 4x4 Top Plate from Wicked Bricks (https://www.wickedbrick.com/collections/vario-display-stands-1/products/small-angled-multi-use-display-stand-for-lego-vehicles), so that I could consider and implement the necessary modification of the original model after receiving it. The idea was to construct an additional carrier and to modify the bottom side of the Z-95 Headhunter accordingly, so that it will fit the model and the display stand at the end. To do this, a sketch had to be made to determine the parts to be ordered. Modification of the Z-95 Headhunter (bottom side). For the necessary modification you need the following parts: (Structure: Designation | part number | quantity | comment) Plate 1x4 2 Knobs | 4599498 | 2 Flat Tile 1x3 | 4558169 | 2 Flat Tile 1x2 | 4211414 | 1 Flat Tile 2x2 | 4211413 | 1 Once you have all the parts together, start by removing the three flat tiles 1x4 from the bottom of the Z-95. The same applies to the Flat Tiles 2x4. At the gained space you attach the above parts from the parts list in the arrangement shown on the photo. This way we realize a mounting possibility for the carrier, which will be built in the next step and serves as a bridge between Display Stand and Z-95 Headhunter. We need the dismantled Flat Tile 1x4 for the carrier, which we will focus on in the next step. The carrier. The carrier consists of two parts. We need the following parts for the carrier Plate 1x4 | 4211445 | 3 Flat Tile 1x4 | - | 1 | From the dismantled parts from above. Half Bow 1x2x2 Inv. | 6144138 | 2 | Half Bow 1x2x2 | 6028813 | 2 | Technic Brick 1x1 | 4211535 | 4 | Plate 1x2 | 4211398 | 2 Profiles Brick 1x2 | 4211383 | 2 | The construction is very simple and can be seen in the following picture. The result. The result is that the carrier sits very firmly on the display stand and the Z-95 Headhunter is also solidly attached to the carrier, so that nothing stands in the way of presenting the model on a shelf or in a showcase. The modification of the underside has been designed so that the hunter does not gain excess weight in one direction or the other to prevent accidental falling. So everyone can decide for himself whether the hunter tilts into a curve, rises steeply or descends. Besides the possibility to show the hunter on a display stand, I also implemented a modification for the attachment of landing supports. The realization is also very easy and fast with a little disassembly and assembly. Here you need - besides the above mentioned modification of the underside - the following components: Technic Lever 3M | 6331723 | 2 2M Cross Axle w. groove | 4142865 | 2 Fric/Stump with cross hole | 4158848 | 1 Fric/Forc with cross hole | 4210695 | 2 Plate 1x3 w/Stub/Along/U.P. | 4210882 | 1 Roof Brick 1x2/45° | 4211614 | 4 Flat Tile 1x2 | 4211414 | 2 Landing skid front. The assembly of the front landing skid is shown on the following photo. In addition, the two Technic Lever 2M, which were originally mounted, must be replaced by the Technic Lever 3M in order to attach the landing skid to the fighter. Landing struts underside. The landing skids of the underside are realized by two Roof Bricks each, which are connected by a 1x2 Flat Tile. Both are then attached to the 1x4 Plate with 2 Knobs on the underside (see above). Just align everything nicely and the Z-95 Headhunter is ready for presentation inside a hangar MOC, since it is now standing on its own landing struts:
  18. After the parts had been delivered, I finally had the opportunity to overhaul the Mandalorian Outpost of my mini diorama. As already reported in one of my last posts, I based my work on the construction of the additional building from the 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina, which I modified in parts and added the already existing turret. The Outpost is - as LEGO pros say - swooshable, so it is fully playable. The roof of the turret as well as the roof above the forge and the armoury can be removed. For the small, adjacent ruin with the E-Web Blaster, I made sure that the roof, which is now in ruins, can still be guessed at. Furthermore, the pavilion on the rocky outcrop has given way to a ruin - also largely decayed - under which the boxes containing the coaxium are now housed. Because of the numerous changes, which clearly go in a certain direction, I will call the diorama from now on "Mandalorian Outpost on Tatooine". I find this more fitting to what I have now created through numerous changes, conversions and new buildings. See my flickr for further details of the interior: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmQUWWQk
  19. Wednesday: 75081 T-16 Skyhopper Yesterday: 75136 Droid Escape Pod Both shot on eBay for a total of 15 EUR. Was a snapper, since both fit well into my collection around Tatooine. Oh yes, and in between there were 2 Bith musicians (to get the Cantina Band of my MBS Mos Eisley Cantina complete with 5), a Probe Droid Polybag for my little Hoth scene (all three things for another 15 EUR) and bricks for 40 EUR to rework my desert diorama, or better the Mandalorian Outpost inside. Next I will concentrate on Jabbas' Palace and the Rancor Pit I think.
  20. Absolutely. That is the reason why I bought it to display it on my shelf.
  21. Thanks for your feedback. This was exactly my motivation: I didn't have much space and still wanted to have a small diorama! The design of the moisture evaporator is, as I wrote in the text above, stolen from the official LEGO Sandspeeder. I just replaced some parts, but didn't change anything in the construction technique. I actually wanted to build a slightly bigger, grey one. But that would have been too much for the little diorama :-). Many thanks for the compliment. Currently, I only order stones for my MOCs, so I don't know if I would be of much help over at Factions ;-).
  22. Hello everyone, at the age of 37, LEGO brought me back into his arms. However, this was more or less a coincidence, because I was "only" looking for Star Wars models that met my requirements for size and details. At this point, only LEGO offered me a very good mix - besides the fact that I had a very complete range of all models I was thirsting for. After the X-Wing (75218) was the first one, a lot of models have since been released [Poe's X-Wing, 2 Y-Wings, 2 A-Wings, B-Wing, Slave I 20th Anniversary, the Millennium Falcon, and many more]. have taken their place on my shelf. The compartment left free in the used Billy shelf has let a first rough idea for a diorama mature in my head, which hasn't let go of me. Actually, this idea was supposed to be used to present the Razor Crest from September on, as soon as it will move in with me. Of course it turned out differently than I thought, as you can see here. You sit in front of it every day, stare at it and have new ideas for further details. And of course the fever also got hold of my wife, who wants to have her own diorama for the gingerbread house and one of the limited Christmas trees. This is currently also being worked on again and again. We'll see what comes next. But that's what it should have been from me for now. Otherwise I will write a novel at the end... Many greetings, your NerdYoda
  23. Thank you very much. And yes, you're right. It's too crowded now. I thought about integrating the moisture vaporator on the side of the new outpost I already planned. For this, Chirrut Imwe and Baze Malbus will be moving into the showcase. The same goes for the hover tank and the probe droid, so that only the speeder bike will find room on the dune. Such a MOC is never really finished, and with the current modification plans it will change from a classic desert diorama to a full-fledged MOC, which might well be named after its central building, "Mandalorian Outpost".
  24. Thank you! In a few days the missing parts will arrive to completely rework the Mandalorian Outpost and to better integrate it into the environment and the MOC. You may be curious .
