  1. LEGO is not going by real life, even the new creator Porsche is bigger than the mustang with the same wheels. when in real life Porsche is much smaller than the mustang. 42009, 42043, 8285, 8285 with the same wheel/scale means they are more detailed than 42098 and whatever else is in that wheel size. sets with the same wheel size as 42043 are usually more detailed so expectations are set low for the 42128. it should have been a better version of the 8285.
  2. Generally LEGO determines scale by the wheels it uses as per designer videos, not the size of the set itself. which classifies 8285, 8258, 42043, 42009 all the same scale and 42128, 42098, cement truck the green tow truck in one scale.
  3. missed opportunity by LEGO to make it the same scale as 8285 and 42043. its the same scale as 42098.
  4. im just happy it has steering, thanks for the review.
  5. Not my video, those who want a quick look before its official search it up. I'm assuming it will be taken down at some point unless we are days within official announcement.
  6. 10274 ECTO-1 unboxing by a led lighting company. no lego watermarks so I assume its ok to post here. we got new cardboard packaging for instruction booklet as LEGO slowly moves away from plastic and transitions to paper. and all black instructions. stickers mostly for rust and license plate. search on Youtube : "LEGO GHOSTBUSTERS ECTO-1 open box #10274"
  7. @Ngoc Nguyen Thank You for taking the time and effort to get the instructions out. @eric trax Thank you for the info, Please Keep us updated. In the meantime lets keep this petition going LINK: http://chng.it/cnHpmGcmN6 Maybe LEGO adds 18+ and releases it, as if that will stop consumers under 18 from building it. We must not give up yet, with so many of us emailing LEGO.
  8. Reached over a 1000 supporters on the petition. the goal now is to show The LEGO Group a lot more than "some fans" will be disappointed by the decision to not launch this product. Keep spreading the Petition and Emailing/calling LEGO. Its too early to give up now, perhaps they will rethink how they bring this set to market under an 18+ age restriction or if they only do phone-in orders and keep it off the shelves, do a limited release. Any of these variation of steps can satisfy those who want to buy this set without major negative pr for The LEGO Group. I will post an update in the petition in some time mentioning these suggestions. They might not read our suggestions and comments in favor of this set in online forums but they will in petitions. Link to Petition: http://chng.it/wqT4gs7GrH Keep Sharing, Voice your desire for this set.
  9. @Bartybum This cancel culture, I see it all the time. sometimes its justified, sometimes its not. I was just furious about this cancel culture hitting my favorite line of lego without bringing any meaningful change whatsoever, This is simply engineering, thats it. No weapons or violence associated. I am a very introverted person, never thought I'd ever start a petition. so if they can start a petition to stop its sale, we can start one to get it released, in the end it'll be upto the LEGO Group to do what's best for them. As if licensing fees is used for war, what a joke. LEGO can do a few things to save children from "weapons, war and violence"(claim by the petition to stop its sale) in the set 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey by simply making the set 18+ and stating this set is only for adults. another thing would be a color change but that would be a large investment. since this set would have been in production for at least the last 3 months. If Lego had built this set as true to life as it is without licensing they could have been sued by Boeing
  10. @SamuelYsc I emailed them through their website. under the LEGO support section go to contact and select email. It opens a message box and you can voice your concern their. they will ask your details such as email and where you are emailing from. I don't know if there is a public email address that lego uses perhaps someone in the forum will correct me. We also have a petition if you can sign and share it in your local lego community that would help a lot. Link: http://chng.it/cnHpmGcmN6
  11. @Bartybum I edited your paragraph in emphasizing the SAR designation in the beginning and reworded the military inspired vehicles below as LEGO would appreciate it if keep it in civilian context. Let me know what you think and if anybody else would like to add anything before I update the petition, LEGO fans urge The LEGO Group (TLG) to release the LEGO Technic set 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey. LEGO Technic set 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is depicted as a search and rescue (SAR) designation aircraft. This set does not include any weapons, nor does it promote violence. Neither the assembled model, nor its packaging indicate any military application. It should therefore be appropriate in teaching both children and adults about the inner workings of such complex machines. This set adheres to TLG's internal guidelines for the type of products it makes, in the same way that the following listed products do: 42066 Air Race Jet, 42052 Heavy Lift Helicopter, 42040 Fire Plane, 42020 Twin Rotor Helicopter, 31096 Twin-Rotor Helicopter, 31092 Helicopter Adventure, 31057 Air Blazer, 31042 Super Soarer, 31039 Blue Power Jet, 31023 Yellow Racers, 31020 Twin Blade Adventures, 31008 Thunder Wings, 31003 Red Rotors, 31001 Mini Skyflyer, 9394 Jet Plane, 7873 Airplane Set, 7345 Transport Chopper, 6912 Super Soarer, 5892 Sonic Boom, 4953 Fast Flyers, 4895 Motion Power, 4439 Heavy-Lift Helicopter. All these sets featuring main and/or alternate models and functions that are inspired by real-life military vehicles functioning in civilian capacity such as SAR, focussed on the engineering of complex machines NOT weapons or violence. The 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is an opportunity for LEGO Technic fans to build a licensed complex aircraft type that has not been seen in the Technic theme for years. The SAR designation should be enough to satisfy its use as a LEGO set, appropriately separating it from its conventionally military application. Withholding it from consumer purchase would do nothing but waste the effort and talent gone in to designing such a faithful recreation, as well as alienate many adult collectors. Rest assured, LEGO fans want this set.
  12. Good work ladies and gentlemen. Within a couple of hours we have more than a 100 petitions to release this set compared to stop its sale (95 in a little over a day). Keep sharing the petition with all Lego Fans and family, and emailing LEGO. Let's hope LEGO listens and releases this set. I emailed and called LEGO about the petition.
  13. Its already posted and I edited that draft, if you look at the last post with pictures. If you think there is room for improvement on that, by all means post it here and I can edit the petition. http://chng.it/QYZfgbY9f7
  14. @Anio Thank you, I was about to ask if someone can post on Techlug.fr, Thank you @Toastie "DFK-VK should not go after TLG in the way they do." for me this is the only issue regarding DFK-VK, their outrage is warranted but not to Lego or Boeing. Im sure they have a lot people involved and have good intentions and I agree with having had enough of war and suffering, I myself support having had enough of war, but Boeing and LEGO are not promoting war or teaching kids about violence. The only way DFK-VK can make meaningful change regarding war in the world is through public office not by demanding LEGO to not release a licensed civilian version of a military vehicle
  15. Started a petition to urge The Lego Group to release lego set 42113 Osprey LINK: http://chng.it/4ngy4TbKbH Please sign, share with the lego communities, lets support lego and get this set out
  16. @suffocation , Welcome, I am way too furious about this lol Its Done guys, Share it everywhere you can, lets get this set out!! LINK TO PETITION: http://chng.it/4ngy4TbKbH
  17. So im going to publish it then. Any thoughts on the number of petitions we are aiming for ? 250? 500? 1000?
  18. Final Draft, any more editions? How many petitions should be the target? 250? Petition to The Lego Group () Tell The LEGO Group to release LEGO Technic set 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 OSPREY Faz A Canada Dear Lego Group LEGO fans urge LEGO Group to release the LEGO Technic set 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey. LEGO Technic set 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey as depicted has Search and Rescue designation and can be valuable in teaching children and adults alike the inner working of such complex machines. Neither the product as it is depicted nor its box and instructions indicate to any military application. This set does not include any weapons or promote violence. The LEGO Group can release this set as it adheres to its internal guidelines on the type of products they make. LEGO Technic set 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey will adhere to company policy of not creating military sets, the same way LEGO Technic set 42066 Air Race Jet was not military and did not break company policy. This will be a great opportunity for LEGO fans to build a licensed complex airplane which is true to life. The “Rescue Vehicle” designation is enough to satisfy its civilian use in the real world and as a LEGO set separating it from military use. We want this set. Please release LEGO Technic set 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey
  19. updated draft of petition, anything to add or remove? will include a picture of set 42113 as well "LEGO fans urge LEGO Group to releasee the LEGO Technic set 42113 Boeing Bell Osprey. 20. Im not discussing who is responsible for war as in which country or company but that a manufactures of equipment is not responsible, its entities that use the equipment that should face this outrage not LEGO group, i'm simply saying LEGO group and its licensing with Boeing does not cause war and destruction and therefore should be okay to license. The DFG-VK is saying that somehow Boeing is responsible for war and destruction and that by LEGO associating with them makes them responsible. We need to publicly show support in the petition. We want this set, this set has nothing to do with war and destruction.
  21. The reason I mention governments and war is because that's what DFG-VK is arguing, they are saying "Due to the deployment of this military aircraft all around the world, innumerable civilians were killed. That is why parents, LEGO® customers and brick fans disapprove of the vehicle’s replication. Companies that produce weapons, which in many countries of the world cause human suffering and death, should not be cooperating with LEGO®" The whole argument is based on LEGO licensing with a company that makes military equipment and then implying those companies are responsible for death and destruction. As if grovenrments aren't the ones actually using the equipment. Its so much easier to take your outrage on a company making a toy product then the actual reason why this eqiupment exists and how its used. take your outrage out on the entities that are actually responsible, Not the LEGO group for making a set based on a transport version of a military vehicle. Licensing fees are not used for war. tax dollars are.
  22. This what a rough draft of my petition, I was fairly angry and might have ranted. would appreciate if you guys can help edit it, so that its not just my anger lol. "LEGO fans calling on LEGO Group to releasee the LEGO Technic set 42113 Boeing Bell Osprey as planned. Unfortunately one group "DFG-VK", has associated that technical military equipment such as a transport version of a military vehicle as something bad, should not be explored by children and should not be built in collaboration with Arms manufacturers, however Arms Manufacturing companies such as Boeing are not causing war and destruction. we start wars, through our tax dollars and our elected or non elected governments. This particular version of the Boeing Bell Osprey that Lego Group has created is a civilian version which does not include weapons or promote violence. It is simply a transport vehicle with complex engineering. LEGO Technic 42113 will not be promoting violence, the same way LEGO technic Air Race Jet 42066 did not promote violence. This will be a great opportunity for LEGO fans to build a complex airplane which is true to life. As for Lego licensing a product with Boeing, Licensing fees will not be going to war efforts. Boeing is not responsible for war, its our governments, through our votes and tax dollars. So to those groups that are concerned with LEGO licensing with Boeing and in turn Lego Fans indirectly giving money to Boing. Licensing Fees to Boeing will be non existent next to Government spending on military equipment through our tax dollars which is in the billions of dollars. Tax dollars are used for war not LEGO Licensing Fee. For groups concerned with demilitarization, we urge them to voice their concerns with elected government officials regarding military conflicts. LEGO Group is not responsible for militarization, we are, with our votes and tax dollars. We urge LEGO Group to release the 42113 Bell Osprey as planned. LEGO technic Set 42113 Bell Osprey is simply a transport vehicle. LEGO Group in the past has avoided licensing with companies that manufacture arms equipment due to violent characteristics of their products and their use in conflict, however in this particular instance for LEGO Group to build a non-violent, transport version of Bell Osprey true to technical design, LEGO group has to get a license due to its unique design and engineering. We want this LEGO Technic 42113 Bell Osprey (non violent transport vehicle) set released."
  23. I sent Lego a message and I'm about to start a petition. Do you guys want me to type it up here. We can edit it and then post it?
