Spent about a week building my own version of the Cyclone mech from Sonic adventure 2. I recently bought and built the set but found it a bit lacking. I based on how it looks after you get all the upgrades. It uses a few pieces from that set but other than I built it from the ground up. It has a basic transformation feature. The crow's nest turret rotates and the nose module can be removed revealling Tails artificial emerald that appears in the game. I used luminous green since that colours not used in the emeralds from the sonic ideas set so I thought it'd make a cool unofficial 8th chaos emerald. The ball joint extenders give the legs enough space to fold neatly for the transformation He can balance on one foot. Fake chaos emerald. Battery for the laser cannon. A 2x1 tile with ridge a yellow ingot combined with a batman utility belt just barely holds together with a bit of persuasion. For all the lego I own which is allot there's some really basic pieces I seemed to lack. So when I built the nose module I used two of those little boat shaped pieces 2 technic bricks with twtin holes some tiles to get the desired shape. The bazooka helps disguise the exposed stud holes on top. And finally the weapons. Later on I might consider building the weapons it has before upgrading.

Had this thing a while a now controls like an rc tank(No steering rack two sticks sliders for moving opposite the directions to turn) and you press a button to make it wheelie and your phone shouts Batman as well when it wheelies. I've got a new project in mind now for an rc mod and I wanna use a powered up hub but the one in this set is the only one I own right now. Is it useable with other rc creations? Tried using the app it connect with the batman controller app but just seems to ignore the others. For clarification what I'm building will have back wheel drive and steering so you'know the exact opposite of a tank like vehicle really. Just wanna know if it'll work before I spend hours cramming it all in only to find the box isn't compatible with anything else.

It used to be something I just never considered peroid but assuming I've got a decent number of whatever piece I'm altering I find it's quite fun when you modifying a piece for a new purpose and discover it actually works and performs it's new fuction. Plus I'm less fussy about display sets that I'll likely never take apart anyway.

This is something I never would've dreamed of a few years back since hacking up even a minor piece i probably had hundreds of just felt wrong. but lately I'm finding it's more and more of a time saver and can save you hours trying to rebuilding something to accomodate a new piece or use. A good example being I modified my Optimus Prime lego set to give him poseable knees and rotating thighs. and I did all sorts to this set. I used the racheting disk arm pieces to replace the knees and when I discovered I had a drill piece from my modelling tools that was only a tiny fraction smaller than than a stud hole I went to town on some corner plates using some grey lightsaber blades clipped down so the plates would secure over them and finally for the thighs I simply used a 3 long peg but after discovering it couldn't support the weight of the legs I glued one end to a a 2x1 brick with round hole added a second brick with hole and a washer piece glued in place which gave the desired results. So drilling chopping and gluing on just one set. I've heard they use similar practices at lego HQ when designing new sets. Is it a common practice or is it one of those generally frowned upon type things?

So built up a little rc racer using an sbrick a rechargeable battery pack a servo motor and two buggy motors. Now when I load up the brickcontroller2 app it can find the sbrick and I can test the motors with touch screen sliders just fine and it recognises both my ps5 and switch controllers ok. But When I press one of the buttons and try to assign it a function(ie R2 motor 1 clockwise etc) the sbrick just seems to simply ignore the controller and the motors don't do a thing. I've tried using the sbrick app but it doesn't seem to be giving out a good amount of power honestly not sure what the issue but its barely drivable touch screen is the only setup I can figure how to get working.

mines having a similar issue. It seems the tracks are pulling apart when it turns I've checked and they do indeed seem to easily pull away at the light grey L shaped pieces with built in pegs. I thought it was a mistake I made I first but after seeing a second thread on the subject I think its a design flaw. If you could get a beam or frame across the tracks and round those L beams maybe that would help them to stay together better? (ps I have no idea how the mechanical aspect of these sets work I just follow the instructions and hope I've not missed anything important so take my advice at your own risk!)

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this issue when the liebherr turns using one or both of its tracks it makes this clicking noise and sometimes stops turning all together. I'm pretty sure whats happening is the tracks are trying to pull apart since both are trying to go in opposite directions. and when I examined the tracks they fairly easily pulling apart without anything breaking or unpegging. I think (assuming I haven't made a mistake in the instructions of course) that a couple of beams connecting the tracks together might solve the issue but I wanted to ask if others experienced this issue if its a design fault a builders fault(ie me) and if it is a design fault if there are any mods to fix or lessen the problem.

Hello. I'm considering buying an SBrick(or possibly a buwizz) for use with some buggy motors but all the videos I've seen recommending using two one for each motor so they don't drain the battery super fast. since two or possibly even one buwizz is not really affordable for me I was wondering if a potential work around could be to connect a single SBrick to two or possibly even more battery packs. would it work? or would the brick only get power from the one. I can see based off of pictures the power connects underneath the brick so would it just default to the top reciever brick or could one or more batteries provide extra running time?

Looks amazing. Any pictures of the opposite side exterior? I'd like to see whats going on with that antenna or scalfolding like structure.

It kind of amazes me that they managed to make a full collectible figure series using only two characters.

Don't think I've ever seen a more organic looking head build. barely looks like its made from leg at all well done

What about Umbra? I mean hes not strictly speaking a hero but he was charged with guarding the mask of life.

Wait how many of these story packs are there? do they all feature a new set build for the portal base?
