I thought this at first but the box art doesn't seem to indicate that it's an anniversary set. The color of Harry's spell is gold on the anniversary sets, and this one is blue.

Not trolling, just exercising caution which we on this forum don't do enough from time to time . Anyway, sorry for derailing the conversation. I'm super excited about these sets!

Whether I believe them is irrelevant. Promobricks writing an article about upcoming sets is a strong rumor (which is most likely true), but not confirmation. A website or LEGO revealing pictures of the sets is confirmation. That's the difference I'm trying to get at. We've seen early set descriptions be slightly wrong before, so you can't say that counts as confirmation.

I understand just fine. Nothing is confirmed until it's officially revealed by a retailer or LEGO themselves. If you don't get that, then let's just agree to disagree.

Just like the chess set was confirmed as the D2C? ;) Anyway, we'll see images soon enough.

Like I said in my previous message, despite him "confirming" it, I'm skeptical because the box art doesn't seem to indicate that there is a figure on it to the left of Fawkes. Notice how the shape behind the Fawkes figure becomes narrower on the left. I also made a point earlier about how there's an elevated jumper piece on this set instead of a jumper piece with tiles adjacent to it, so putting a minifigure stand on top here wouldn't look right. EDIT: I could be wrong, but I just want to see the figure before I assume its there :)

Hmm now I'm skeptical that the Fawkes set actually includes Dumbledore. None of the leaks show that part of the box (I feel like they would if it was there), and if you look at the background behind the minifigure of Fawkes on the box art, comparing it to other sets, it looks like there isn't supposed to be a figure on the box to the left of it.

Will the quidditch set connect to the other ones somehow?

One thing I just noticed - the color of Harry's spell on the box art is gold for the anniversary sets and blue for the others. That means Fawkes probably isn't coming with a golden figure.

Well, there are tiles adjacent to that single jumper on Hedwig so there's room for you to place the separate stand. In this case, the single stud jumper plate is elevated so a stand on top would look weird IMO. However, I trust that falconfan knows what he's talking about.

I'm fairly certain there's no minifig (besides Fawkes) because there's only 1 stud to put something on :)

So glad the buildable figures set doesn't include minifigs (golden or regular). They look solid, but that's an easy skip for me

Ah good point, but yeah as @living_off_lego said, it's re-used amongst the trio in that set so I don't really count it as exclusive

This is somewhat random, but it's funny to me that $40 Hedwig gave us a more exclusive Harry variant than $400 Diagon Alley (since both Harrys in that set are being re-used this year)

Yeah he did say no Halloween Vision, but he also said "Well..." to Ralph's info about it being regular Vision. Then Mr. Boehner made that comment about the Darkhold he trusted possibly being wrong, so it seems like everything is still up in the air.

Falconfan doubted this info though so it might actually end up being White Vision or something else

I was as mad as you when I found out they were rebooting the modular Hogwarts, but I've warmed up to the idea. The 2018-2020 one already looks pretty great all connected together, and I don't think they realistically would've made too many more structures to connect to it since most people wouldn't have the room to display. I'm still holding out hope for one Deathly Hallows set that connects to the old system, but I'm still excited to see the new 2021 Hogwarts looks all connected together.

You never know. If the set is garbage and people only want the figure, it'll drive the demand for that figure much higher than Lockhart from DA. Plus, if it's guaranteed to be exclusive (unlike Lockhart who may come again), the figure will be more desirable.

Ugh, I really don't want to have to fork over $50 on BrickLink for a potential golden Dumbledore in the D2C... (assuming the D2C does have a golden figure)
