  1. Well after 3 long weeks my 8033 GGS mini arrived today I can't complain to much, for the delay in shipping he sent me 2! Opening the small bag the 44 parts drop out and it is time to build The ship starting to take shape. Almost complete The finished Starfighter And the left over parts. Well there it is the last mini till the next Brickmaster AT-TE. I really like this little set and the whole design is almost completely SNOT too. Something of a first for a mini set. Was this little set worth all the price i paid and the waiting for it to arrive from the USA? Come on this is lego, of course it was
  2. Ok guys now calm down . The picture of my clone wars stuff was not all unopened boxes. In fact i have opened 1 of every set and 2 of some. As for my job, i work in construction so i also build for a living
  3. A very good review Well i have said it elsewhere and i love the dropship and badly want 2. The design is near perfect and looks fantasic with the AT-TE underneath. The AT-OT is a like another designer got his hands on it. Yes the cockpit is very good and the legs look good too, but the main hull is very thrown together. The sides are all sloping the wrong way and my god it so full of holes it is like swiss cheese! The whole design is not helped by the folding cockpit which i am sure could have been avoided. I did not expect the AT-OT to be a completely faithfull version of the original but for the price they are charging i did expext better! What really shows it up are the pictures of it next to the AT-TE and that is a £70 set! £166 to much more like £140.
  4. Well i love how TLC got the shape of the AT-OT cockpit (wish i had thought of that ) but i can't help but think the rest of the walker looks a little unfinished.
  5. This is something i have done with all the previous battle packs and so here is what i managed to pull off with the new ones. Both are made from 2 battle packs using all the parts. First up is the Assassin Droid AAS (Anti Aircraft Speeder) With guns and missiles ready to fire. And a rear shot. Next we have the Clone Attack Fighter Any comments welcome
  6. Well i am working on getting a few more as we speak
  7. Hmmm.. Feeling a bit deja vu about this topic could be that i posted it elsewhere a few days ago Anyway, for me it has to be the Technic Hailfire Droid. I never liked any of the technic star wars sets but this one really stood out but off course this was not a system scale set and so i left it. Now we have the system set i feel myself wishing that i had bought the set at the time as i even passed it up half price Also but not really a set, i should have picked up the black hole stormtrooper maquette when i saw it for $80 on ebay. That is one purchace that is really going to hurt when i do finally get round to it.
  8. Well i do have quite a bit of the older stuff and a good few of the unopened sets are a second set. Here is is my set list on Brickset if you want to look.
  9. Well in the not to distant future (a couple of years maybe) i hope to have i house with a basement or a very large spare room for all my lego. Also we know the Star Wars licence will not last for ever even if we want it to. So i am just getting the sets i love now rather than pay over the odds later. If a few years down the line i don't want 2 or more of some sets i can always sell them. All of my second, third or forth puchaces were made at good sale prices so there is not much chance of me ever losing out on resale.
  10. These are some pics of my old stuff And the stuff that neads opening
  11. Well it not a army or setup pic but here is ia picture of my Clone Wars purchaces to date.
  12. You could probably get hold of the stickers from TLC customer service for a small charge or free if you are the dishonest type One thing i did wonder was if the 3 cockpit parts were printed or stickers?
  13. Well i am like KimT here as i have also been collecting the SW line from the word go. Also like him starting to think to much about how much i have spent gives me nosebleeds
  14. Well i have a few sets that i don't mind trading or selling. For Trade i am mainly after a 7662 MTT, i don't need MISB or even the box but it must be complete with original instructions. I am in the UK and willing to sell or trade with anybody in Europe. I am on the straight shooters list and have a 100% positive feedback on BL and Ebay under the same name (mutley777). On to the list All MISB 2 7658 Y-wing 2 7671 AT-AP 2 7670 Hailfire droid & Spider droid 2 7678 Droid Gunship 2 7674 V-19 Torrent 1 7676 Rupublic Gunship 1 7679 Republic Fighter Tank 1 7018 Viking Ship challenges the Midgard Serpent 1 7019 Viking Fortress against the Fafnir Dragon 1 7660 Naboo N-1 Starfighter and Vulture Droid Drop me a PM if you see anything you are interested in.
  15. Happy birthday Ras! Have a great day 35 eh, getting old my friend
  16. Thanks everybody for the birthday wishes, hope you other guys had a good day too. The day is over but the weekend celebrations are ongoing The pile of lego i received was awesome! Hyena Droid Bomber Vaders TIE AAT Republic Attack shuttle Assassin Droid BP 5 Clone Walker BP And lots of DVD's a money too. So all in all a great day.
  17. Well i don't have any of the sets you say you are after but if you are interested i would like to swap a MISB 7676 Republic Gunship for the MTT. I am also in the UK and on the straightshooters list.
  18. Now that was just too cruel Copmike It's bad enough you've got the chrome vader and sold another 2!
  19. This is the clone wars colour AAT A good match i think.
  20. A few pics you guys asked for, to compare anakin's fighter to ahsoka's plus the all dark red R2 unit. The dark red R2 The 2 Jedi Starfighters look great together and are quite alike . The R2 is ok but close up the old dark read droid top is quite noticeably glossier than the newer droid parts.
  21. Well i was quite lucky as i bought mine from a seller in the Netherlands who only had 1.
  22. I picked it up from BL about 2 months ago. I did a review back then on BH but i only just noticed there was not one here.
  23. here is a short review of the new mini tie :) First of all with a set of this size it is vital to sort out the parts into the right colours :D After a very quick but quite fun build the tie is done. And the back. As you can see from this picture the TIE is a good size Only a couple of parts left at the end. Well that's it! A good little set with good parts too. (well i do like the minis )
  24. Ah. If he had put the stickers on you would see it only has one head.
  25. Thanks for the coments guys. I should have put this in the review. The long left and right slopes with the white star shape pattern are printed as is a 2X2 slope in the cockpit with standard computer screen. Everything else is stickers.
