I was wondering if anyone who reads this thread had moc'd the harness at the front of the Beauxbaton Carriage? I've been meaning to do something with mine for a while. If it would be better, share it with me in a PM to avoid going off topic.

I personally think these designs are still quite unique and recognisable from a standard chess set.

I might have misunderstood your comment but think a theoretical Harry potter chess set would be based on the designs from the first movie rather than be student/death eater figures.

Only really like hogsmeade to be honest. Oh well, gives me time to buy and build the sets from last year that I havent yet, without worrying about there being more soon. It's quite upsetting to see how quickly a theme can take a dive after (imo) peaking with Diagon Alley.

£28 seems rough. I was expecting £20 or so

Finally getting around to building Diagon Alley, despite having it since release. I'm missing one 4070 in New Dark Red in bag eight. I've ordered a replacement but I'm aware there should be 4 more later on in the set. Might be a long shot but does anyone know which bag those might be in?

I think you can use external sites like imgur or imgbb and then embedd them in the post instead to avoid the upload limit.

I feel like we have the last minute announcement to thank for that. Feels like people who don't follow leaks closely like people on these forums didn't have any warning at all that a huge and expensive set was about to launch.

Yes, same here but the PayPal went through so I'm confident it went through okay.

Got mine ordered, and with £20 of VIP points redeemed which made the price easier to swallow. Will probably try and sell the BrickHeadz set for a fair price just to make back a bit more. Does anyone know where is a good place to order a CMF2 set of 16 in the UK? I got them from BrickLink last time but I don't know if there are better alternatives.

Having looked at the scene, it probably would be more accurate with a few more studs of space in between but I was suprised how good having them directly facing each other worked. 4 extra studs of path was actually what I was thinking too. I think that would be about the right scale personally.

Thought I'd take a photo of the two sides of the street facing each other from the end of the promo video on the sets page. I do really like how it looks like this, doesn't even seem like the cobblestone needs expanding to be a similar scale to the movie.

I love the set but £370 is a bit steep.

Probably because it's based off the first two movies, not either of the parks. I'm trying to see if the windows are obviously uneven in those movies but it's suprisingly hard to find concept art or clear shots of those locations.

I think I'll get this day one and save some of the latest wave of sets incase there does end up being a unique GWP later on.

Just had a thought how cool a D2C Quiditch staduim would be. 20 figures with each houses team and a full oval with some stands.

I don't have the book to hand but I don't really feel like the movie does depict Diagon Alley in any way that contradicts that description. That picture isn't part of the book and came years after the movies so it seems unfair to say it's how Diagon Alley looks in the book. Here's Jim Kay's rendition of Diagon Alley which I think most would agree is quite similar in style and vibe to the movies, whilst of course different in the specifics.

I think if we say theres a chance they might only ever do one Lockhart in the reboot, the version we got is the better choice. If they do a chamber set they might just end up with Ginny, Tom Riddle and Harry, if it's a RoR size set or similar.
