  1. Here are some heroes I made in LDD. First up is Eric Zeal, who is designed so that I can purchase him in Recon Team Creator and paint a proper color scheme. Next is Mallory Shields. She's a member of Zeal's team. I'm working on a System diorama for these two in LDD.
  2. I have yet to see Savage Planet, but if they don't reveal it there, they don't anywhere. Actually, I can't remember any reference to any first name of a hero in any comic or movie. Maybe they're just sticking with last names in 2012?
  3. Thornax Launcher: 4609595 Black Hand: 4612492 Gold Ball: 4594818 Got those off Rocka XL's instructions from herofactory.com. ;) EDIT: Beat me to it!
  4. That's a good idea. I could even see LEGO using their color-blend technique (like on Xplode's spike plates) to simulate a hero being "corrupted" by this new color; for example, a purple hero with black blended into the armor.
  5. I like the roster for next year. While I hate seeing Stormer leave (he's my favorite character) I do like giving the rookies some opportunities to shine. I wonder if we'll have a sixth hero? Also, since both a yellow and a gold hero are in this wave, it's possible that Evo's colors will be switched. A purple hero would look pretty cool. The villain's names are cool, I can't wait to see what the theme is. Bringing back Von Nebula would be awesome.
  6. Great use of gold armor from Bionicle and HF, and excellent design overall. I especially like how you used the Hero Feet to form the body. Everything is built so that it flows nicely from head to toe. You are one of the greatest MOCers that I've seen on Brickshelf, if not anywhere. :)
  7. Anyone post this yet? Set 2521 Lightning Dragon Battle is now on Lego Shop. I think it looks awesome, it's very impressive. I don't know if the price tag fits or not; I'll have to see in-hand pictures of the set first.
  8. I felt it here in Maryland. As I was in the basement and slightly underground, I really felt the shake. It sounded like a bad wind storm, which is normal in my area. It was my first experience of the kind; I'm just glad it didn't do too much damage.
  9. Thank you! When I have time, I'll post my other modifications to Hero Factory sets. I'm glad its airing this early, I'm excited about it. It seems that each HF movie is a step up from its predecessor-- I loved the graphics and camera angles in Ordeal of Fire, and it looks like the fight scenes in Savage Planet are well thought out. I am also hoping for it to be online soon, as I don't get Nicktoons. EDIT: I got a Raw-Jaw! Did a quick sketch of him here.
  10. I decided to give Nex some stripes! I used a regular Sharpie marker, which is why it's fading so quickly, but I like the effect. Front Helmet Detail
  11. I'll see if my brother's figure has that issue once he opens it. I got the same satisfaction from Nex 3.0, my only set from this wave; compared to his 2.0 version, I like this one more. If they make back armor for these guys, they'll be perfect. Yeah, I'm 17, too and I play with LEGOs every day. :D
  12. Happy birthday! What a coincidence-- my brother's birthday is also coming up and I know he's getting Bulk 3.0. It seems like Raw-Jaw is pretty popular. I think I'll get him over Waspix.
  13. I went to my local Toys R Us today hoping to buy Stringer 3.0, but the shelves were nearly bare. I bought Nex 3.0 instead. He's a lot cooler than I thought, and everything about him screams "tiger". My only complaint is that due to the position of his weapon, his left arm can't even bend up to a 90-degree angle; besides that, great articulation and a great look overall. I like him even more than his 2.0 version. I did try to paint tiger stripes on him, but it just didn't work out. He's back to solid orange now.
  14. I always thought it was weird that LEGO never made a hospital; they've made plenty of ambulances. While I'd never be able to afford it, a large $100 building would be impressive.
  15. What a great way to get the younger audience involved. If I had been part of an event like this, I would feel very lucky.
  16. Amazing work! Your dedication really pays off. Each building has its own style but blends right in with the city layout. Great job, you've created quite an impressive display. Maybe you could build a construction site to represent your next update?
  17. Learning about tiles.

  18. Nice work! You've captured everything about farm life on a 32x32 plate! Your tile techniques and SNOT work are very creative. I've learned a thing or two about building from this MOC. KUTGW!
  19. Thank you! Like Exo Force, printing could be used in a way that adds detail to plain bricks. I do like the sleekness of the new heroes as well as their color schemes, but when we start getting different heroes of the same colors, they'll need something to be more unique. Applying the design would be difficult. We'll just have to wait and see.
  20. I like it! It looks like a Classic Town set-- simple but effective. Nice board choice, as well. Was that originally found in a gas station set?
  21. Doctor Doom, in charcoal. He's my favorite Marvel villain and he's been a pain to draw, but I think I finally got it. LINK I see some great work here, I hope I can be this good with color and ink.
  22. Thanks, everyone! It's a pleasure to be here. I'll definitely take advantage of the art topic! Yes, you can call me SNOT!
  23. Yes!! I'm so glad we're getting DC minifigs! I'll definitely be searching for Superman. Is anybody entering the contest? I might be able to put together a short stop motion movie.
  24. Superheroes!! I've been waiting for this! Let's hope they're being sold like the Collectable Minifigures.
  25. I thought I'd share a modification I would make to Nex 3.0: With the number of printed armor pieces appearing this year, paired with the use of stickers in 2010, LEGO could create some visually unique heroes and villains in the future.
