The problem with the pink cube is that Lego simply does not have a subtler colour option. Pink (or salmon) is an accurate colour but shiny and vibrant plastic bricks cannot really capture the worn-out look of real bricks :D Imo it is not per se aimed at women/girls because the colour is simply as screen accurate as possible. The love potion, on the other hand, could well be aimed at girls because in HBP essentially only female characters were interested in or used love potion (if I recall correctly). Although, once again, it is screen accurate and a big part of WWW's interior in the film. Speaking of love potions, I love how in one of the pictures Hermione and Ginny, aged 11 and 12 respectively, are buying love potions from the WWW :D It's nothing, but would've been nice to get minifigures that fit in the scene Lego is trying to recreate. -

Thank you for this, it has been on my mind ever since people started calling the leaked PS Harry "Dirty Harry" :D -

Hopefully, it's just too early to anticipate a third CMF :D The old Lucius will have to do for now. -

The set as a whole is gorgeous! I'm dreading the day Mos Eisley Cantina is revealed since I'm facing a hard choice, although I think the Cantina can only beat DA minifigure-wise. My only problems with the set are the choice of leaving Gringott's out (although don't mind it that much anymore) and the minifigures. Harry, Ron, and Hermione all use the same torso, Ginny is just bland, Molly has the same problems as in the Burrow and Lucius looks dreadful imo (the face and yellow hair) :D I'm rather devastated that they gave Fortescue, the photographer and Ollivander (who has a perfectly fine face) new faceprints and decided to give Lucius a reused one (which just looks stupid). Lockhart is probably the best one, although his expression looks a bit malevolent for some reason... -

Fair enough, Hagrid is definitely an appropriate inclusion but I would've replaced him with Arthur because he could have gotten a new variant + he was in F&B which is certainly the focus of the set (minifigure-wise at least). Hagrid would arguable be more relevant in a Gringott's or Leaky Cauldron set. Would love to get her but I never thought she would be in DA solely because of Lego's strive to screen accuracy (*cough* Lochart's robes *cough*). She should've been in the CMF. This year's wave has had printing-wise very disappointing figures in the larger sets (namely Burrow and DA) compared to the previous waves. The builds have been phenomenal, which is more important, but it's a real shame considering our only chances of getting unique, detailed versions of beloved characters were in the CMF. Reused, not-fitting faceprints and a lack of leg/skirt printing is a real bummer. -

I don't necessarily have a problem with the amount, but the quality . As stated by many, Lucius should have gotten a unique faceprint. The Bruce Wayne is just grumpy, whereas an arrogant face would have represented Lucius the best imo. I also don't like the colour of his (and Draco's hair) as tan fits much better (heck, even white would look better than yellow imo) Also for some reason the DP photographer looks dreadful in my eyes :D Might be the short legs and the massive hair/hat piece. For me, the selection could've been enhanced by replacing Hagrid with Arthur with his hat (recolour of the Death Eater/Wizard hat). -

His robes are certainly purple, not blue in the leaked photo. -

I really hope that is not the case... It would make no sense whatsoever because they gave Florean Fortescue a new faceprint for crying out loud. How could I forget!? But I really doubt that Lego is that clever :D -

Ironically, Lockhart does not match :D He is wearing blue robes in Flourish and Blott's, whereas in the set he has light purple(?) robes which (I guess) represent his sand red robes that are arguable more iconic. -

Hold on, Lucius Malfoy's face looks a bit like the generic stern male head that was used for one of the at-at drivers recently. I really hope that he has a new faceprint. -

I was being quite sarcastic regarding the photographer but Lockhart and Lucius look fantastic! :D Could the twins have striped leg printing, it's quite hard to tell from the picture? -

If that ends up being the whole minifigure roster, it is rather lacklustre. I think that the selection is most of all missing Arthur Weasley (with his delightful hat). Molly is still using that dreaded hairpiece and I really hope that she has a new faceprint this time. A set of this calibre has to have detailed minifigures. Not sure how comparable HP is with Star Wars (budgets etc.) as a theme, but I was hoping for figures as detailed as the ones in Betrayal in Cloud City... -

I will riot if the "magical" creatures end up being owls and rats :DD But yeah, I could see them including pygmy puff with Ginny potentially. It was after all purchased from WWW if I recall correctly. -

Oh boy... The decision is getting even harder if Gringotts is really is omitted. The set has to look veeery special to win me over without Gringotts :'D An additional Gringotts would be great but I, for one, can't imagine buying the DA before at least seeing the missing piece (Gringotts) and its price. -

I'm struggling. Customising a Mos Eisley Cantina (from the 2014 and 18 sets) was the first thing I did when I refound my interest on lego 1,5 years ago. The Mos Eisley Cantina UCS is the dream set I never thought would be made... But I have my own MOC and recently I've been more into lego HP so tough decisions ahead... -

Tempting... but as a uni student, I cannot justify that :D Been working the whole summer to justify one larger lego purchase. Furthermore, I already have to make drastic changes to my room to even fit one of them on display :D -

Well damn, 5300-5500 sounds almost too good. They can surely fit Gringotts, WWW, and the others. I really hope this set will either be the best set I've ever seen or a total disappointment because I'm already sweating the decision between it and the incoming UCS Mos Eisley Cantina... -

Good point about the reusability! But yeah, the arm printing especially is very impressive. -

Hi all! Wanted to share my thoughts on the new CMF: The golden trio is conceptually rather lacklustre, however, they have delightfully (Ron&Hermione especially) detailed printing and good accessories. Dumbledore is probably the best figure in the series, two fabulous new molds, and great printing. Luna is a vibrant character (who I love) but we have gotten so many variants of her that I wish we had gotten someone in her place. Also, someone said that her legs aren't accurate (here or on Instagram) but she is shown having long socks over her jeans (the same ones she has while wearing the lion headpiece) in another scene. I'm not sure if someone had pointed that out yet though :D Griphook is fantastic, love the sword, and his printing. Could've looked a bit better perhaps if his trousers would have been printed on the torso (like the leaked DA Harry) because he wears them rather high up in the films. Lily and James were a surprise for sure, but a welcomed one (at least for me). James is definitely better with the picture and his scarf + faceprint. As Lily and James were a lot younger in the books than in the films, I'm not a huge fan of the (small) wrinkles on Lily's face and potentially plan on using her head (the side with opened mouth) for my Molly from the Burrow, as her face is dreadfully inaccurate imo. Has anyone else thought of this? Ginny is my least favourite in the series. Her prints are nice and the faceprint could be used to replace the one from the Burrow (common theme in this cmf :D). As someone, who doesn't have the Astronomy tower, any Slugclub variant feels rather useless. The twins are great but arguably 'waste' one spot. I like their winter clothing as well as accessories. Bellatrix is, once again, fantastically printed (and useful substitute for a certain Mantis-head) If only the regular Bellatrix had arm and dress printing... Kingsley is a great inclusion but the softer cloth, as stated by many, isn't great. Myrtle and Sprout are both 10/10 for me, love them. Neville would be a terrible inclusion if he didn't have the Monster book of monsters which looks great. All in all, I definitely prefer this series to the first one. What do you think about using that Lily head for Molly? I'll probably use it or a general Leia head for Molly unless she comes in the DA with a new, more accurate print. Apologies for a long post, I had to share my thoughts after a long hiatus from here :D And once again, thank you for staying otterly awesome on this forum! -

Hi guys! Haven't messaged in a while because I've been working hard for the upcoming Diagon Alley...:D The new CMF looks fantastic, although I'm a bit bummed about some of the inclusions, as are most I reckon. My favourites are probably Myrtle, Dumbledore, Sprout, Bellatrix and James but I adore almost all of them! The twins are great but feel like a wasted spot because, well, they are nearly identical. My least favourites are probably Ron, Hermione and Ginny although they are wonderfully printed. Its good to get a better faceprint for Ginny (and Bellatrix) because the one in the Burrow is dreadful (the set is one of my all-time favourites though!). Now that we didn't get Lucius or Gilderoy here, they must be included in the Diagon Alley. Anyway, thanks for keeping the hype alive during these anxious times. -

It suits him but I can't stand the way it doesn't fit properly with the beard. It pops out easily and the locks are pushed more outward than they should be. Therefore, Lego wouldn't use it. -

About the Hogsmeade GWP: if it includes Aberforth Dumbledore as the exclusive minifigure, what hairpiece and beard do you think he will have? In the lego HP video game, he has the old Dumbledore hair and the shorter, bushier beard (Godric Gryffindor from the games has them also but in dark orange). The old Dumbledore hair isn't really used anymore and the newer doesn't fit with the beard due to its width. Could it be possible that they go with the Doc Brown hairpiece as they did with Godric Gryffindor? The Saruman hair and beard combo would be great but I think the possibility for getting that mold back without a LOTR revamp is very low. What do you think? Btw, I posted my custom Aberforth and thoughts in the Updating your HP figs -forum, so feel free to check them out :D
