If they were true I'd be very happy!

Oh that does look nice.

Does anyone know if Lego still uses the crystal ball mould they had in Trelawney's classroom in the 2004 clocktower? Or did they ever make a new mould? I would like to see a crystal ball in the current sets.

I hate when people try and compare the dormitories to the common room. I imagine we'll get a Common Room set in the same style as the RoM. I could also see us getting Hermione's dorm if they did any more bedrooms.

OMG. It's very difficult to rank them for me, but I'll have a go. 1. Astronomy Tower 2. Room of Requirement 3. Privet Drive 4. Burrow 5. Grawp 6. Hedwig

Just pre-ordered the 4 playsets. Luckily you get free shipping over £50 so I'll order the Burrow as soon as it comes up.

Lego.com is down for maintenance.

@Brick Guru That link is amazing and so fascinating - thanks!

I still like the design of the castle in films 1 and 2 the best. It was classic and homely and cosy and what I imagine the castle to look like when reading.
-
It's exhausting how much the castle changed over the years. It was really shoddy work on the film makers' parts and removes any idea of continuity. If I was JK Rowling I would have been POed at them for changing the castle and the characters (Fat Lady, Fltiwick, Tom, etc.) so much.

Still not up for pre-order on Lego. Get your act together, Lego sis...
-
It's also in No.1 . I also feel like you get a little glimpse in CoG but I could be wrong.
-
Well those two towers at the back. Watch CoS scene where they first smash into the tree and the car drives away.
-
I feel like they could still make the twin towers, and a courtyard. I would like a bridge and the boathouse but I wonder how they could work. This picture is quite good. It's not complete but it shows how the Astronomy tower is next to the viaduct entrance and the greenhouses. And it has the clock tower in the background and the great hall (all what we have). I feel like that building we got in the WW shows that they aren't afraid of making less iconic or recognisable parts. As that isn't really shown on any Hogwarts builds but only in the first 2 movies.

Well stickered then? Either way it doesn't bother me. I just meant some with a cover.

I hope it follows this schedule as it would be good timing for me. My Birthday is July 18th so I am waiting to get the sets then, then I will only have a few days to wait until the reveal of the D2C.

Great catch! So nice to get some printed books.

The new sets are up for pre-order in the UK on Smyths and Zavvi, but the Burrow is missing so I'm guessing it's a Lego exclusive. I got the new sets weeks early in both 2018 and 2019 from Smyths, but this year I'm getting them from Lego to earn points (they're the same price) as I'm saving them to get for Birthday in July so I'm in no rush to receive them.

@topiku Glad I'm not the only one to have done that with the new sets all day yesterday. I'm glad others are catching onto how awesome smaller, standalone Hogwarts sets would be. Still hoping for Gryffindor Common Room in that vein. It's midnight on the 30th in the UK and the sets aren't up for pre-order.

I keep being greedy and checking back in case the potential uknown set is leaked, or any info on the D2C, Calendar or CMF series. I'm reading HBP and it mentions that Tonks' hair is mousy brown and she is very depressed - because of Sirius' death and her arguments with Remus - so she has lost her ability to transform herself. So it's pretty cute and understandable to have a version of her like that. But, like everyone else, I want her in her pink hair. That outfit she wears in HBP is rather ghastly.

So the sets are supposed to go up for pre-order tomorrow? I'm going to do it. I can't see my local Lego store opening before June 1st.
-
There are some of those hand-held ones though. https://www.lego.com/en-gb/product/hogwarts-room-of-requirement-75966

Yeah I agree. Well the kitchen and the tapestry room, and a bedroom or two. Maybe square like Private Drive but taller so the price is between Private and the Burrow somewhere. And yeah those moving sided would be awesome.

After reading OoTP I really want a Grimmauld Place. I know some people say it's boring, but it would still make a great set. I don't see how it would be anymore complicated than the Burrow. I made that Lego creator set 31097 the other day and I can see it being a similar sized build for about £75.

Oh God, brilliant idea! I hope you're right. I would love a Niffler and Fawkes.
