A car with a camper?!
-
Thank you very much! These are lovely! Can't wait to use them!
-
I like the yellow one best! Even a cupholder!
-
I love this... the buildings are different yet all fit together. The water fountain detail is great!
-
We can have a camper mod group! Well, if you do, please post pics or comment here so I can take a look! I've been looking at other Lego campers all day now...
-
Did you run out of "city" minifigs? I love the hotel... now I want to make one of my own! The balconies are great, and the water in the swimming pool looks so real! Love the microwave, and the interior of the theatre, and the living room, and... yeah, I could go on and on.

The cab roof was higher than the rest of the body before... now it's lower... either way, no one wins! I like the way it looks higher anyway. I need to get some white plates to use for the floor... don't have any now! Thanks, everyone!

V-LV-34B & V-LV-34C I decided to play around with my camper a bit-- I like the design overall, but it doesn't give much "play" space. So, I took out the chairs... and made my own. Opens up more space for movement. They chairs recline! Like all good camper chairs. Here's one outside so you can see what it looks like. I also changed the color scheme back to blue and red from the white, grey, and green. ETA: Been playing around some more and decided to edit this as such... wanted to mod my little camper a bit too. Not sure if I like the lights on the side. Also, I had to work with the pieces I had, so that's why the blues are a bit weird. Inside: a bed. This tiny camper really can't fit more than one person. This bed doesn't fold up, though. Sorry the minifig's face is blurry!

Subscriptions/Watch List
slovakiasteph replied to slovakiasteph's topic in Forum Information and Help
Thank you! Whew, I didn't expect it to be in "options!" -
Where does one go to see their subscriptions? I've been on this website for about two weeks now and figured I'd find it eventually, as I usually do... but haven't. I don't want to get e-mails for each watched topic, but would like to look at them. How do i get there? It must be pretty obvious as no one else seems to have asked this question (I scrolled through all the help questions) and I'm feeling pretty stupid by now.

We need to start our own forum/thread for newbie MOCs. I feel intimidated, too... the only reason I posted one was because I used only the pieces from one set... limiting enough that it still looked okay. As for your city, you could play around in LDD (Lego Digital Designer) first to see what types of buildings you might want-- without taking your sets apart-- and then find those pieces on Bricklink. I like the previous idea about taking pictures of buildings you like and going from there. You could start with your hometown-- is there a building you admire? Or, browse through images of a certain type of building on Google.

Good review... I had no interest in this set before, but now might pick it up... I think it was on sale at my grocery store last time I was there!
-
I've started reading reviews for sets I'll never buy because the reviews are entertaining!
-
I bought it... a bit of an impulse buy as it was on sale for $8.39 at my grocery store. I can't think that I'd ever need an airplane, but I keep it next to my log cabin... flies in to the lake. The plane, when built, was larger than I'd expected it to be. I thought it was a pretty good value, but I did get a bit off the price.

Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List
slovakiasteph replied to Siegfried's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
+1 for richb. Fast shipping and good communication! -
I like this best of all your creations... the waterfall is pretty cool! (although I did like the fisherman's shack as well)...
-
I like! The round parts add a nice touch... I might have a pair of those (horrid) pink stairs at my parents' house... now I know what on earth I can do with them.
-
If I knew how to make directions for it, I would... the only way I know how is through LDD... but I don't know that they have all the pieces. Also, my LDD hasn't been working-- it freezes and I can't fully open any documents. Is there another method I could use?
-
No doubt influenced by my last Lego purchase (before this week)... 6592 Vacation Hideaway which came out in 1990. Mostly, I like that style because it seems European... I have a few similar houses I've been working on in LDD.
-
Okay, I have re-sized them, sorry. Thanks everyone for your nice comments! meyerc13: If kids were playing with it, I'd add a few layers of plates or 2x2s (like in the first build for the log cabin) to reinforce the roof. I'd have done so but was limiting myself to only the pieces included. I'm a child of the 80s too... and like those open backs. I was surprised by just how large the building turned out to be! Lots of bricks!

Using only the pieces from Log Cabin 5766, I built what I call my "log cottage." I'm just getting back into Lego after playing with it as a child (mostly my brothers' Lego, although it belonged to the family). I bought the log cabin the other day... and built it four different ways yesterday. This was the last version: (using only the pieces from Log Cabin...) An outdoor stove, flower garden, a few bushes, and a dock. And from the back: Apparently my floor slants because I couldn't take a straight picture! The kitchen features a countertop, sink, and counter eating area. If you want to cook, you have to do that outside. I'm only slightly proud of this rather basic creation... can you tell? Whoops, sorry, don't know how to make the pics smaller... I had a hard enough time getting them in in the first place...
-
Also, I must be missing it, but is there some sort of "help" thread? I'm trying to include a picture in a post and can't find directions anywhere...not even on the "how to post a post" page. Thanks!

I've been very close to Poland when I was hiking at Strbske Pleso. :) Haven't been to Poland yet, which is a shame because I'm also 1/8 Polish (last name was Kurianowicz until my grandpa shortened it...).

And now I know what I'll bring home from my bi-weekly trip to the grocery store... and I wondered what was so exciting about minifigs!

There's a Lego store about an hour away from me and now I can't wait to visit! It'll be great to get some pieces for a house I want to build... Thanks for the tips!
