  1. Piece count I’ve seen for it (42108) is 1292. Price though I’ve only seen placeholders such as at brickshop.eu which lists it as 99 Euros. I don’t know how accurate those predictions are. If that’s the real price i imagine it won’t have any power function or pneumatics (or perhaps need xl actuators and large banana gears, tires)
  2. I’d like to bring this back up to the top. Hi! New technic fan, I’m just getting into building and want some set recommendations. I build the heavy duty forklift 42079, and now eagerly looking for something new. After looking through the last few years sets, the construction theme seems to be most interesting. The problem is the coolest construction sets that are retired seem to sell for the highest dollars (looking at you 42009, 42055). What would be some of the “hidden gems?” By that I mean cool sets (retired) that are still selling near retail, or often overlooked? I see the Claas Xerion can still be found new for close to the original price so that’s on my list. Will the price will drop on 42082 anytime soon? Im also waiting to see what the 2020 mobile crane will be like. Another buyer question, does everyone buy through Bricklink? How are the shipping prices, since it’s not really listed up front? eBay seems to have some ok deals too, is that another good route to buy? all advice welcome and appreciated!
  3. Im a new technic fan so I’m a bit naive, but what new crane technologies do you think will be used? The larger actuators? Pneumatics? This new mobile crane is my number one want for 2020. All the other previous mobile cranes are just too expensive for me!
  4. I just wanted to introduce myself! I just joined and have recently discovered (as an adult) how much I enjoy Lego! I guess that started when my son turned 4 and started asking for Lego. We went to the local Lego store and I think I was more excited than he was. The last summer we went to Brickfair (I'm in the US). I was blown away. When I was a kid, my family wasn't super well off, and I just had the bin of multi colored pieces that my parents probably picked up at a yard sale. But now, I have like, a REAL JOB, and MY OWN MONEEEY!! I can buy my OWN LEGO. I have to say, my new favorite thing is the Lego Technic series. I bought and happily put together the heavy duty forklift (42079) and it was a blast. I'm already excited to see what comes out next year, and have been looking through all the previous sets. I've been lurking for about a week and I'm just so impressed with people's MOCs and I really can't even imagine how one comes up with them. Now I'm even snapping up polybags and minfigures for myself when I stop at the local Target. Just have to hide them from my son. I'm not worried. Grandma seems to bring him new sets whenever she visits us. Regardless, it is nice to meet you all and I look forward to spending way too much money on Lego and hopefully be an active participant in this amazing form.
