  1. That is planned where the lifeguard tower is that will be the beach, the side of the cafe will be more dockside for larger boats that will combine with the two large harbour sets.
  2. Layout Latest Updated 24/10/2012: Image of the progress so far: Full report in latest post here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=66901&st=25#entry1416038 Original Post: Not going to bore you too much with a detailed post (unless you really want it). I have a building space in my office and I am going to be building a large City scene, using City sets and then using the same techniques used in the sets to build extra elements to make a full scene. I am using LDD to plan the build and I am doing it stages, after building a stage on LDD I will then purchase parts I need, photograph it and move on to the next stage. Stage One - Is the Lego City Marina, I have built the Marina on LDD (This is first time I have used LDD was building the Marina). Stage one has an area of 4 32x32 base plates wide and 2 back and will have 9 official sets built in it or on it. For further detailed info visit: http://brickfanatics...o-city-project/ Here are is the LDD Concept image: Update 1 includes more LDD images: http://www.eurobrick...dpost&p=1241062 Update 2 Building progress of the Marina plus the extension of the dockside: http://www.eurobrick...dpost&p=1250434 Update 3 Major update, beach, surf shack and much more completed as well as new to do list: http://www.eurobrick...dpost&p=1301988 Update 4 Marina entrance complete with pavements done and loads of minor features added: http://www.eurobrick...dpost&p=1351763
  3. Me I prefer to only build official sets and have them on display ;)
  4. I'm am not a massive fan of MOC's but yours is the best ever, I hope it gets 10,000 supporters as would love to own this ultimate pirate ship, sir you have my vote and hope to feature it on my blog soon as well (see private message). :)
  5. This is the theme that I will want the most, not a by fan of license themes as I want value for money, these sets look awesome, :)
  6. Yep this is how I see it as well and makes sense as well really that these lines are finishing.
  7. So according to Huw at brickset this theme finishes in July......
  8. Nope, I enjoy collecting and displaying sets. :)
  9. That is if your into making MOC's, i'm not ;)
  10. Still it is not what Pirates should be used for and I hope this forum sees it as ninjago and not part of the real pirates, I also think if TLG did do it it would be the final nail in the coffin for the pirate theme.
  11. Spongebob set, no way, while it looks ok, it is not a Pirate set in my view, for the Ninjago ship no chance, read the review while it is ok as a Ninjago set it does not appeal to me at all, the same can be said for a possible Ninjaho/Pirate theme, if that did happen it woulf put me off for like, it would ruin everything that I like about pirates, however I have a horrible feeling TLG will do it, I for one who it would be a massive flop.
  12. As a fan of classic pirates, I pray to god the don't do a pirate type theme next year...
  13. Up to three now - imperial Flagship Queen Ann's Revenge Renegade Runner However aiming to buy them all so if anyone wants shut of any drop me a pm.
  14. Just bought and built the QAR in under 4 hours, a nice ship and reminds me a little of the Black Seas Barracuda, a few things I will add to it like cannons but overall a decent set :) As for the theme, I would think if we don't hear anything solid soon, I would stop hoping as it looks to me that any more sets is more wishful thinking then anything else.
  15. 90% of my collection is Pirates as I am trying to collect every set before moving on to others, only got a handful of other theme sets.
  16. I hope it stays as just that rumor
  17. Thanks Rick, you have been very helpful, will go order them now :)
  18. I got just the one Pirate set, the Imperial Flagship
  19. Right I love the Flagship except for one issue, not enough cannons. I want to purchase another 4 so each slot is filled, I feel Bricklink will be my best bet, the only issue is the actual barrels are more metallic then gray and having looked on there earlier, it seems my only options are two types of gray???. Has anyone purchased the correct barrels from there and can you point me to the right option as I don't want to order the wrong ones by mistake. Thanks
  20. Having just finished building this beauty and having had the old BSB in my youth, this ship is built so much better that the older ships and find the way they did the masts fantastic.
  21. You can build Port Royal with London Escape and Whitecap Bay, so technically you need two of each sets so you can display both the instructions have been posted else where on here.
  22. Wow looks good and some look like decent builds as well
  23. I am not interesting in MOCing I don't see the appeal, I only enjoy collecting the official sets and since coming out of my Dark age I have 16 sets from the classic era and will not stop till I have got them all.
  24. Have you priced up how much this is going to cost and are you planning on building it?
