  1. Hmm, they could always do an OotP version with giant pus filled blisters on his face from eating some of Fred and George's sweets, I wouldn't mind that in the CMF series 2.
  2. I don't know how I didn't realise that she was the only not updated head of house. Crazy to think weve got nearly all the film teachers already: Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, Quirell, Flitwick, Hooch, Trelawney, Hagrid, Lupin, 'Moody', Umbridge, Slughorn. (+ Maxime, even though she doesn't teach at Hogwarts) I guess the only other teachers Lego will make are: Sprout, Lockhart, (+ Karkaroff), Amycus and Alecto Carrow. I'm saying these as these appear in the films. Other staff like Filch have been done and I think we might get Madam Pomfrey. But characters like: Professor Bins, Madam Pince, Professor Sinistra, Firenze, Professor Grubbly-Plank and Professor Vector I doubt highly as they only appear in the books.
  3. For the cmf series 2, I'm guessing Lego will want to still have a balance of students to teachers/other adults, so who knows we might get Lee Jordan, Romilda vane or other minor student characters. I'm not saying they'd be bad characters, just maybe not as many older characters.
  4. Yeah. Of course they'd technically end up being about the same size as the niffler from the FB sets (and cmf), but I can't think of another way around it. It'd also be nice to see updates for Goblins, Werewolf Lupin and the Dragon from Gringotts. I think these are very likely, obviously if they make a Gringotts/Diagon Alley set.
  5. Like the one Ash flash designed? I agree, it would be great if he's included. Plus a pixie piece would look good in mocs for a Defense against the dark arts room.
  6. I think it looks very blocky. The grey/black joints stand out too much for my liking. It's interesting how we did get a Cerberus (Fluffy) mold back in the day, but never a centaur.
  7. Hmm, Lord of the Rings contains many religious messages. And it was Disney who made the film adaptations. Of course it's more unlikely to get sets as there were only 3 films and they were made a while ago.
  8. The trolls one wouldn't work at all. But I do hope we get a centaur body mould. I think the tricky part is, so many animal molds only have moving heads or wings (Buckbeak and a Thestral) and a lot from regular Lego sets don't move at all (horses), so whilst I'd like Lego to, I don't know how posable they would make a centaur mold. It would be good though if they ever made a Narnia theme (plus we already have a faun and a minotaur minifigs from the cmf line)
  9. I significantly doubt Lego would make a design of a character from a post credit scene, especially as the character is in a straight jacket (and I don't think plain white arms would look the part). If they do make Gilderoy Lockhart, they've got plenty of different coloured robed throughout the film to choose from.
  10. That's why I think we aren't going to get many, if any, characters in the second cmf series, as some new characters (ie. Nagini, Vinda Rosier, Skender) have little to no development or screen time which might make them less likely to be made into minifigures.
  11. The Crimes of Grindelwald's main problem is lack of explanations. On a second viewing you can start piecing together aspects, but there are moments that still aren't explained: Is Abernathy a Metamorphmagi, or is it just powerful transfiguration? How long has Abernathy been posing as Grindelwald? Why is Newt the only one who can stop Grindelwald? Why can Newt perform all kinds of Magic we've never heard of before (golden dust tracking thing) that makes no sense? Why does Nagini have like 3 lines in the whole film? What happened to the 3 baby nifflers the film showed Newt taking them with him, but we don't see them again? While other aspects of the film are really good: better soundtrack, better vfx, amazing acting. The main problem is unexplained moments of the film. Which makes a lot of the plot confusing, and is only slightly better on a rewatch.
  12. Ah, the mystery has been solved. I couldn't remember any winking owls, let alone any owls in tan in HP. When I saw the first message of a possible new owl mold, I was hoping it could be of Pigwideon, the owl Sirius let's Ron keep at the end of PoA. Sadly the films never addressed that Ron got a new pet after 'Scabbers' fled. Even the Lego HP video-games remembered this detail.
  13. Can't see Lego including Tom the barman/Innkeeper. They don't like including characters who interact with alcohol (no Moe in either Simpsons cmf series), plus a new hunchback mold might be tricky to make. Percy's a tricky character to add to, as he's prominent in the first two, but due to the actor's contract he's absent in the GoF, and you only see glimpses of him with no explanation in OotP (popping up out of nowhere working for the ministry) and DHp2. Shame as he has much more character in the books. So if they were going to make Percy, Lego might lean towards him in his 5th/6th year (Harry's 1st/2nd years).
  14. I kind of forgot how many more were in the first series. I was going to include Kingsley and Karkaroff, but then I noticed how skewed it was for adult characters. I can imagine the FB characters not being included for series 2, but I tiger I'd try to see who they'd include. I added Umbridge as the Bricktober packs don't even exist in the UK and I'd want a cheap way to get her. I chose Abernathy as he was a character who appeared in both films. Nagini has practically no dialogue and doesn't serve a point in CoG (there are some deleted scenes with more of her and Credence). I thought Lego might shy away from Kama, as his backstory is quite dark, plus I couldn't think of an accesory. Rosier I hardly remember from the film, all I remember is her wearing a triangular hat and trying to give Queenie tea (which I'd guess would be an accessory for her). Skender was another character I considered, as his beard might be a nice new mold (good for lotr/hobbit mocs) and you could have some magical creature as an accesory, but as he wasn't a character really key to the story/series I chose Abernathy instead.
  15. My guesses if the series 2 cmf includes 6 FB characters, just to say I'm taking a bit of inspiration from Bugbot20082 1. Harry Potter (Slughorn party robes), liquid luck vial (trans mandrake piece?) 2. Hermione (with very frizzy hair), cauldron and ladle. 3. Ron (Quidditch robes), broom and technic ball piece (quaffle). 4. Professor Sprout, book of 1000 magical herbs and fungi. 5. Gilderoy Lockhart (Orange golden robes), new pixie piece. 6. Rita Skeeter, green quill and 2x2 or 2x3 printed tile. 7. Kreacher (new head mold), 2x3 tile of Mrs Black photograph, locket piece (like medal). 8. Dolores Umbridge, 2x3 tile educational decree, tea cup. 9. Lavender Brown, heart tile with L +R print. 10. Ginny, Half Blood Prince book (tile print with Sectumsempra). 11. Young Newt (Hufflepuff robes) new Bowtruckle mold (like Forky). 12. Young Dumbledore, book piece of Fantastic Beasts (or maybe Deluminator). 13. Leta LeStrange, niffler in light/dark brown. 14. Theseus Scamander, with black cat with big eyes from the French ministry. 15. Nicolas Flamel, with glass case with red crystal (or infinity stone). 16. Abernathy, alternate face print and hat (old woman).
  16. Characters I think would appear in the series 2 cmf: (m is for maybe) Percy Weasley, Ginny (m), Lee (m), Dudley (m), Colin (m), Gilderoy, Lucius, Moaning Myrtle, Tom Riddle, Parvati & Padma (m), Karkaroff, Skeeter, Kingsley, Bellatrix, Kreacher, Lavender, Cormac, Narcissa, Bill Weasley, Aberforth (m). Characters I think would appear in the sets: Fred & George, Molly, Crabbe & Goyle, Griphook, Petunia & Vernon, Professor Sprout, Madam Pomfrey (m), Arthur, Amos (m), Merpeople & Grindylows, Grawp, Blaise, Fenrir Greyback, Mundungus, Xenophilius, Bogrod Other character I think are either not important enough (Katie Bell), barely appear (Angelina Johnson), Lego wouldn't make it (Bloody Baron - > blood, Charity Burbage - > her character is tortured and killed) or else there probably aren't going to be anymore sets that would have them (Justin Finch-Fletchley).
  17. Yep defo got to have a bottle of Skelegrow.
  18. Yeah, Grindylows are pretty weird. Especially as the films only had them in one scene. With the books having Harry seeing one when talking to Lupin in PoA. I'd rather have a Grindylow accessory in a second task ser, which I think is a likely, as Gabrielle in the Beaubaton's Carriage set has a sleeping expression which would be used.
  19. Lee Jordan would be a nice figure to have, maybe we could get a new afro hair piece. Colin Creevey, whilst I like him, I think it's unlikely as he only appeared in the second film. And the character was replaced with Nigel for OotP (and possibly GoF?) Fred and George would be good to include in a set, especially if they make a full sized Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes. Although, they could add some uncommon colours and accessories in a cmf series.
  20. Worst for me might be Barty Crouch senior. It's not that it'd be a bad character, just rather bland. Other than that maybe characters who are good, but would end up using very generic face prints/hair pieces: Cormac Mclaggen, Katie Bell etc. Like, I like the characters, but similar to Oliver Wood in the Quidditch set, I think their faces wouldn't be very unique.
  21. Agree with Nearly everything you say. Forgot about Skeeter, she's usually in my list. Could easily give her the quill piece in green and a printed tile. Looking back at Dobby it would look a bit too cheery for Kreacher. Even if they do make a leaky cauldron (which I doubt highly) Lego might view Tom as a bar tender (which he kind of is), also how would they make a hunchback, a new shoulder attachment? Would be nice to get an older Draco, as the only one we have so far is 1st/2nd year. Along that lines an older Seamus and Neville might be good to get all Gryffindor boys in Harry's year (easier to do than all Gryffindor girls as they changed for the films) Madam Pomfrey is another I'd like, but sadly I don't think we'll get. Moaning Myrtle would be good, wonder if they'll make her like Sir Nicolas De Mimsy-Porpington as white with grey detail, or if they'll make her trans blue. I'd like more of the house ghosts, however the only time they appear (minus the grey lady in DHp2) is in PS. Nick and Myrtle are the only ones who really get dialogue. Would defo be nice to get another Lupin fig. I think it might be better to make it a full werewolf fig, rather than a head mold on a normal Lupin fig. Tonks and Kingsley I could see in a set, either Grimmauld Place or the Ministry of magic, if they do those (although thinking about it, all the sets in the ww theme have been Hogwarts centric, except FB)
  22. It would be nice to get some characters that have been overlooked in the last waves: Gilderoy Lockhart, Professor Sprout, Karkaroff (if we don't get him in a set), maybe some Weasley's (Fred and George if they want to pull a Patty & Selma) or maybe Parvati and Padma Patil. There's so many we could get. I'm particularly hoping for Kreacher the house elf (might be able to use the new Dobby head), and/or Griphook the Goblin, who we really need a new head mold for.
  23. I think we need new broomstick pieces. It really doesn't look great when they're just holding on with one hand. They could either make it with a flattened section going through the legs, like the bike piece. Or have it like the utility belt or tail pieces with part of it slotted between the leg and torso pieces.
  24. I don't know actually OotP has alot of scenes before Hogwarts, with Harry getting expelled, Grimmauld Place, his Hearing. Then later on for Christmas. And finally the showdown at the Ministry for Magic. Compare that to the first three films where it starts off at Little Whinging, but once it gets to Hogwarts it stays there.
  25. I doubt it. I don't think Lego would make such a 'muggle' set in the HP line. Also not sure if they'd retread a location which they've just done. Nice idea though.
