  1. I know Lego probably won't do this one and to be honest, I was also obstinate about Lego doing an Army subtheme for City. I'm speaking of focusing only on the non-violent aspect of the army such as refugee rescuing, survival kit transporting and the physical aspect of basic training. Medivacs that transport injured people can be somewhat represented here too. So without further to do, let me explain. Remember the officer exchange program episode of Lego City Adventures where Gracie Goodhart comes in from the sister city to Lego City. But we never see the sister city so let's build this subtheme around that. So this subtheme takes place during a major economic collapse in the sister city. Famine and pestilence happen in the sister city too. Mayor Fleck enlists the help of some soldiers to go and rescue the people from the sister city - which turns out not to be a lot - and brings them to Lego City where they will be much happier. Refugee Transport - Following the loss of their livelihoods, several people decide to head to Lego City to pursue better lives. So, the members of the Lego City Army go to rescue them. Maybe this could come with a transport bus and a transport truck. Medivac - Hunger isn't the only thing that is going on in the sister city, illness is too. The medivac comes and transports the sick refugees to the hospital. Could come with a helicopter with a winch and stretcher along with two soldiers and a sick civilian. Army Ocean Vessel - NO GUNS INCLUDED!!!!! Eventually, the other refugees give up and the remainder hop on board the ocean vessel where they will be taken to the base. Includes a big ship with several soldiers and refugees. Military Base - The base set for this subtheme. The refugees are all rescued and can now live nice lives. Until they get on their feet, they are allowed to live on the base freely while being protected from crime by the soldiers. Includes two houses, a toll both, a jeep all supported by some road plates. Basic Training Polybag - Just for comic relief. Could include a stressed out soldier in training lifting some weights while an angry drill sergeant is in his face. So that would be my take on an Army subtheme. It can be done without any mention of killing or war. Think of it as something like medical, coast guard and wildlife rescue put together - only as for the latter, it involves people. Not animals.

  3. Our Daily Bread. It's an orchestra band that plays Hymns. Dunno what the song us though.
  4. Oh guys! I just got the new fire station! That is literally the best fire station I have seen since the 2013 set. Its actually pretty nice for a straight-to-the-point type of set. I also love the vehicles that come with it, the two different scenes where your firefighters go that come with it; whether its putting out a trashcan fire or rescuing a cat, and the break room which has a video game system instead of the usual television. I give this set a 100%.
  5. I think I have a good one. I'll post it when I get to my desktop. On my phone right now. I hope City subthemes count.
  6. Nice! I love the way it looks.
  7. Its a good set I'll admit. But it could be better with a few minor tweaks here and there. The prison area is a good place to start.
  8. Amazing!
  9. Forget Jane Goodall. I'm looking at Peta and the Wildlife Society. Btw, I'm curious about the bathtub stunt bike.
  10. The farm subtheme has returned! This is a pivotal point in City's history. We've also got a grocery store and an updated Trains subtheme as well!
  11. Yes! It does come in a separate pack. All the vehicles have their own packs.
  12. I got that one for my birthday yesterday. It's not really my thing either. But it makes a great part pack. I also like the little van and the mini helicopter it comes with. Those are being used with my 60047 police station as we speak. The van fits right in the garage of that set.
  13. Whoa BTW, what's Lego Asgard?
  14. Friends: the successor to Paradisa - which I do wish would've stayed. So it makes sense that Friends and City would be in the same universe. For me, I'd put City, Modulars, Creator town based sets and Friends in one universe. I guess maybe Ninjago and Hidden Side kinda fit in there too. As of 2020, I'd even put Speed Champions sets in the same universe as City as City began making vehicles based off of real ones in 2020. So all of those are in one universe. At least in my headcanon.
  15. Is the shadow realm one of those realms they travel to? Sorry but I can't get that Thomas and Friends meme out of my head.
  16. Yeah! Thought I'd give you a follow. You seem like a cool guy to talk to.
  17. LOL! You'll be seeing plenty of me around here.
  18. The biggest complaints that I saw with Lego City sets were the fact that it emphasized police too much. Personally it's no big deal to me as I can just rebel against the expectations and buy what I like off of the internet. Like you said, the police and fire stuff aren't emphasized like they used to be. They're brought more on an "equal to" standpoint than which one dominates more. Matter of fact, in 2021 - which that winter wave kinda shocked me, I actually thought they had done away with subthemes. Nope! They just merged fire and police together so two subthemes that were once two separate ones are now one. Makes sense given that the two main characters of City Adventures are a cop and a firefighter. Downsizing by bringing the two most popular subjects in City together makes plenty room for anything to brought into City. Car dealership anyone? But I have to admit. City is way better in the 2020s than it was in the 2010s. BTW! I didn't know you were married. Congratulations!
  19. That's what they call packages in Europe. Dunno why I'm obsessed with using European terms so much. I recently started using words such as "bloody" and "blast" which are NOT profanity here in the states. I've also began addressing people as "Sir", "luv" or "madam"
  20. Plenty of kids these days still know what a post office is. They still have to take parcels to the place to be delivered. They also can get their passport at a post office. Don't forget, it's kids all over the world that love Lego. Not just in the states. Heck! In the UK and in most of Europe (where Lego HQ is based), the postal working is still a pretty prominent industry. Why Lego doesn't do it more in City, we may never really understand. But it's definitely still an industry that I wouldn't consider writing off.
  21. If you follow my Instagram (ministry_of_poodaville), you'll see what I did to the office building part.
  22. In the same year on top of that. Now all they have to do is to do a post office.
  23. I have 60047! Literally the best one ever made.
  24. Another unpopular opinion about Lego. I actually like the new 2022 City sets. I have the school and the standalone police patrol car. Go on social media and you'll see people smack talking them. But I think they're just fine for what we could've gotten. I can't wait to see the grocery store set this summer. I've been screaming for Lego to do one of those for City. I hope its not a 4+ set. Unfortunately, I recently lost my job at the Subaru dealership so I currently can't buy any new. I have lots of money in my savings account, but I need that for emergencies (though my Lego town being put at a halt is kind of an emergency). So right now, all Lego purchases are halted until my financial situation is straight. Meanwhile, I plan to get back into the bus driving game.
  25. BRO!!!!! I miss Hero Factory. That was a great theme. I wanted some of those sets but I was too late. I also agree that it's better than Bioncle.
