Lo Just a heads up about the new star wars magnets. I went to the lego shop in brum today...no magnets...and none for the foreseeable future according to the chap there. They sold out very quickly and there is no news of when the next lot is coming in. If you are planning a trip in i suggest a call first to avoid a wasted journey...should of done that myself :-D All the best Dave....i did pick up another clone walker though..thats 3 now!!
-
Lo I am just quoting a post from FBTB with regards to them, but i am popping into Birmingham over the weekend so should be able to say definately if they are that price and are available. Dave
-
Lo I think...don't quote me at the mo, that they are available at Lego shops in the UK,

There were no castle figs..or any i actually recognised to be honest. None of the main theme figs were in the buckets i looked at, although i do believe that it depends on what shop you go into...someone on fbtb found a load of Clone troopers in his local store so i guess its just luck if you find the ones you want. The main collection in the buckets were white legs, lots of orange torso's with pockets and zippers printed on them and the headgear was mainly brown and black bog standard hair. I was hoping for a load of grey..makes good Imperials but alas none were there. All the best Dave

Lo all Had a quick look in the Lego shop in Birmingham (uk) and noticed they have 3 buckets full of mini figs, no star wars ones im afraid but lots of others, headgear, torsos etc. You can mix and match. Price was 5 for

Official site now up for Lego Star Wars video-game

Just downloaded it..pretty good really. It works on my laptop just fine, except the faces are not drawn..my ati radeon card the culprit there me thinks. I am not bothered..ps2 is the format i will get it on. The demo is good, lots to do, some nifty moves..and more fun in freeplay mode after you have completed the initial game. You get to wander round as Anakin (from ep 1) and more..even Jar Jar is there, shame you can't self destruct yourself in that character :oD Overall I am quite impressed, looking forward to the full product...lots of puzzles too, complete 10 in the demo for a game code, not sure what it is as i havn't got that far..only got 3 :$ No dialogue..its not in the final game either from what i gather, just a few grunts and what not, although i think 3po says things but only in cut scenes...may be wrong though. Lappy specs by the way for anyone wanting to know what it runs on: Celeron 2.8ghz, 512 ram, 128mb ati radeon pro. All the best Dave -
Hehe..yep i checked the shipping, luckily it was a standard rate of

Its sad news. I am not a spidey collector but sad for those that are. I have always wondered why Lego seemed to lose interest in the Discovery line. A modular Iss (space station) with lift up tops would really be good. Minifigs from all the countries involved could be used, and you could collect the modules to make one big space station...would be fun really. I must say lego do have some funny ideas lately..wonder what the future will hold. Dave
-
Yep, the command station is a bit useless...i guess it adds more playability to the set but it does have some good parts. Its a sort of "lets put it in to increase the piece count and make it a bit like the old x wing and b wing set" kind of thing, add a control centre and tool cart just to make it more interesting. Personally i would of preferred it left out and 4 more stormies added :oD Another gripe by the way..no vader sabre. I know its not in that bit of the film that the set refers too but it would of been nice to include it. Now come on Lego, release a taun taun set...make me happy *satis* Dave
-
Well i just got my set today...and i like it a lot to be honest. The peach figs are not too bad, although i have replaced them for the yellow to match with the rest of my collection..i have a peach luke and Obi wan now :-D Overall its a good set, didnt take too long to build. The extra imp stuff is ok..even if it is a bit of a box filler. New stormies are nice, as is the emporers yellow eyes..overall i like it and heartely recommend it to anyone, even if like me you already own the original shuttle. Only one gripe...it would of been nice with a pilot figure :oD Dave
-
Sam , i have the original but should get the new version on friday. I think it is worth it, a few extra bitties, new emporer and stormies. Maybe i am a completist but i actually love the shuttle design, so another one will not bother me, plus it will look good with all my other imp stuff...must take some piccies actually of all of it....back on topic now, yep its definately worth the money if you havn't got the original :oD All the best Dave

What..the final duel 2's??...i have been looking for a load for ages, seems every entertainer in my area has not got any, and the only day i can get to pop into Birmingham (uk for our american chums) is a sunday and the shops shut...tis a big branch too but i fully understand the owners reasons for not opening.
-
Maybe old news but the final duel 2 sets are on too..although its a call to check product availability.
-
more likely a peach luke *devil*

Its ok...can't think of anything else to say about it. Lots of grey anyway *wacko* Bloke

half price mos eisley and jabba's palace in uk
Bloke replied to mutley777's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Hehe, TK Maxx is like one massive jumble sale, you do have to literally hunt through a lot of stuff to eventually get to anything any good. I think they get all the old cast offs from catalogue shops etc and flog em off cheap. In the past i have picked up final duel 2's for 2 quid each, Jabba's message and Prize for 3 quid each...basically if you have the time to hunt through you can find some good stuff. Bloke -
