So Ben Affleck is confirmed to be in the Flash movie that is being made. No doubt LEGO will be releasing several sets like they did with Justice League. This movie didn’t have my attention, but it sure does now!

I guess we have different expectations for these sets or at least different ideas as to what makes a good set. I look at the Harry Potter/Star Wars sets with many characters, unique molds, pretty accurate details and location sets. It would be nice to have some more of that in MCU sets.

They are but how many can we say have been truly great, especially as of late. The sets for Endgame (the biggest movie event since The Force Awakens) were a big disappointment. A lot of minifigs suffer from printless legs, even for important characters. Wasp's horrid helmet etc. Infinity War sets were pretty good all things considered but, after that, the quality has lowered for a license that is more popular and bigger than others such as Harry Potter and those sets look great. It's like LEGO lowball what an MCU set can give for them. I do have high hopes for the Eternals sets. I can see a big celestial mech or two coming along with many good figures. I don't see those sets being bad. Sorry for adding another "LEGO doesn't give MCU any love" rant here in this thread. The rumor mill has been dry and I need something new lol

True true. Good point. idk, I guess I just felt a comic book based cmf is more likely to come from LEGO. Never felt the mcu gets the love it deserves.

I agree. LEGO wont put out a Marvel CMF without their main man Spider-Man. Spider-man based characters cannot be done if it is a MCU only series. I believe it would be a comic book based series with variants of Avengers characters of course. X-men and F4 characters and villains can slip in as well.

Do we know how many Eternals' sets we are getting? If so, how many figures do you think we will get? The amount of characters for that movie is large; I fear not everyone will be made into minifigure form.

Is it too much to hope for a dark knights metal minifigure? Namely The Batman who laughs.

Watching Mask of the Phantasm on Netflix and now I am reminded that we do not have a minifigure for that character. :'( Would love to see some characters from the Batman animated movies/show. Including Batman Beyond. One or two from these classics would certainly be great additions to a CMF.

Given that the MCU movies have been significantly delayed, do you all think that LEGO took advantage and used more time to produce and plan out the Eternal sets? Technically they could have had the ideas set for release in Fall but now since the movie is set for early next year, perhaps they used the extra time to further develop the sets and make them “better”? Or is that wishful thinking on my part and they just postponed the sets’ release and are keeping to what they originally had? I guess I was just thinking maybe LEGO might have a great wave set for us for the movie next year if they did have more time.

What suits are printed on the blue screens behind the pods in the "HOA expansion" set? I can see one is the new Rescue armor.

Idk if this has been mentioned here before but the new red skull minifigure has printing that exactly matches his appearance from CA the first avenger. Could LEGO have the designs for past mcu characters but are trying to put them in game and comic book based sets? If so, that brings me hope for mcu version of characters we haven’t received. Like maybe an abomination, heimdall or even whiplash if they can loosely tie them in with a game set.

By now they could have made a crimson dynamo mech instead of these hulkbusters. We need some variety. Does anyone think we will receive more game-based sets in the winter or next year?

I think that shade of green works quite well. Considering this version of joker is supposed to be old. His hair wouldn’t go white, but instead a lighter hue of green.

Perhaps the price increase is due to the license? LEGO taking advantage of the DC brand?

Are we sure that the Keaton Batman isn’t part of the DC CMF series? I mean it leaked alongside the other cmf. I wouldn’t put it past LEGO to throw in another Batman. If it were part of a D2C/UCS set, wouldn’t we have pictures or leaked details of said set already? I might be out of the loop on some leaked details but that’s my hunch.

Yeah we are in need of some more villains. Black Adam, Mirror Master, Vandal Savage , Metallo and Big Barda would be great.

Y’all got that right. The quality isn’t the best at the moment. I just fear that with the Disney + plus series and the amount of movies coming out, maybe they’ll rush productions on these sets and therefore receive lower quality (or less thought out) sets. Assuming we get Disney + sets. If anything, our woes with lame sets will continue onto 2021. But I have high hopes for the Eternals next year.

I fear that one movie in 2021 will get pushed to 2022. I think Doctor Strange 2 was the fall release. That one would probably get released later. Who knows, maybe they will roll out 4 movies. How this relates to LEGO, well maybe they’ll cut down on quantity of the sets for each movie. Or quality ?

True, he would be better as a big fig but then we wouldn't have that sweet new lantern piece and ring to be compatible with him in big fig form. And yeah, one more lantern could be overkill, but one red one wouldn't hurt. I mean better that than another batman tbh. We have plenty of those. Since its DC though, he's all but guaranteed in this series.

Nice to see sinestro is also coming with a lantern and ring accessory. I think there’s a great chance we’ll get Atrocitus with a red lantern and ring. They now have the mold for the lantern piece and Atrocitus was a main character in the LEGO movie that had Ocean Master as well. They released a minifigure for him in a set. We gotta have some more variety with the lanterns somehow. One can only hope!

So apparently Thor 4 is a go! Taika to direct. Must mean that we should expect some Thor 4 sets coming in the future.

If a 2nd wave does release... could this mean redemption for LEGO? ?

Yes! I was hoping someone came up with that idea as well. Now if only we had her minifigure with the white suit she wears.
