  1. Wasn't S1 Voldemort based on DH2?
  2. It is literally mathematically impossible. The GWP Diagon Alley is to a LARGER scale than 71043. The only way to make it $400 would be to increase the size at least trifold, which would make it minifigure-scale. Please, everyone just STOP parroting around this inane hypothesis.
  3. Since KNN has essentially been proven a fraud, we still only know the nine CMF figures on the package. As for Diagon Alley, we know that it'll be $400, meaning it'll likely have a part count in the ballpark of 4000-5000, but nothing concrete. As for minifigures, nobody knows, but basic logic denotes that it will be in minifigure-scale.
  4. While I honestly don't mind the white frames as much as everyone else, that's a really great edit! In all honesty, though, I think I might love that Lavender figure even more! She looks almost perfect, and it's such a shame LEGO didn't produce her that way.
  5. Lads, stop feeding the trolls. Have we learned nothing from KingNoNo?
  6. It's easily veritable fact that the majority of the violent rioters are a combination of undercover officers and outside agitators who are destroying peoples' livelihoods in order to turn public opinion against the actual protestors, justifying the increasingly horrifying actions of "law enforcement" in the eyes of the general populace. It's been common police practice in the US since the Great Depression, so I find it surprising that people are still fooled by this... On a less obnoxiously political note, LEGO really is my main source of stress relief, and, with everything going on, I'm glad I'll at least be able to get the student pack. I also recently ordered the 2001 Hogwarts from Bricklink, so that'll be a good time.
  7. No one's mentioned it yet, but if you look on the top flap of the box (the side where the "Actual Size" render is), you can see a figure of Yule Ball Hermione (Pink Top, Magrnta Bottom). The skirt looks thicker, so I imagine it,'s the new skirt piece, just like Parvati. So that brings our figure count to four, out of a potential seven or so.
  8. I can't tell, since the image isn't clear enough, but I think it's highly likely to be the same.
  9. Just watched the AT Speed Build, the mandrakes have printed faces.
  10. There are some minor differences, such as the hood now being studless, the boot being more boxy, and the roof being being 6x6, rather than 6x7. I honestly think the new one looks worse, but I'm still getting it.
  11. New Kingnono hint. Apparently not many new leg prints. Wait The way it's written, it's almost like he's saying that Diagon Alley isn't the D2C Or maybe it's a riddle I'm too tired to figure it out now Toodles
  12. I always thought it was the dummy.
  13. That's one interpretation. I think "another Tom" refers to another version of Tom Riddle, in addition to the book version, the language used in the hint makes more sense to me that way. Combined with the "He's Back" clue, I think we'll be getting OotP Voldy in a Ministry 75978.
  14. Well, I imagine it wouldn't stay exclusive forever. I'm just saying that, if they include that variant in DA, we know it isn't in any other sets this year, so it would be exclusive at the time of DA's release, but I do think that, whether we get it there or not, it will almost certainly show up for Deathly Hallows.
  15. My Proposed DA Figure List, for GG, WWW, FB, BB, Olliv. (The first twelve are the exclusives, using the Kingnono hint. Since there are pairs of identical figures, I think they'd take up only one exclusivity spot together.) 1/2. Fred/George Weasley x2 3. Lucius Malfoy 4. Narcissa Malfoy 5. Gilderoy Lockhart 6. Mr. Borgin 7/8. Gringotts Goblin x2 9. Draco Malfoy (HBP, Suit) 10. Ginny (CoS) 11. Hermione (HBP) 12. Hermione (CoS, Blue Jumper) Reprints: 13. Harry (PS/CoS, 75953) 14. Ron (CoS, 75981) 15. Hagrid (75954) 16. Fenrir Greyback (75980) 17. Draco (CoS, torso from 75969) 18. Mr. Ollivander (40289) 19. Harry (HBP, 75980) 20. Ron (HBP, 75980)
  16. The last two years, they said the sets released August in the US before shifting it up to July with limited availability. Seeing as how the original Shop@Home listings for these sets even said July 1, I'd be quite surprised if we have to wait till August.
  17. I'm pretty sure that that figure was based on Terrence Higgs (the seeker from Philosopher's Stone) and just mislabeled. The hair is a match, and the face is a good likeness.
  18. My strategy is simple, and only moderately idiotic. I just buy ten random figures on release day, and then feel for specific characters from there. Usually this is because spending half an hour blocking children from a box of toys is awkward, but this time it'll be as a civil service. ...Jokes aside, this has always worked surprisingly well for me. It usually only results in one or two initial duplicates, meaning I get half the series in one go, and gives a narrower goal list for the future. Plus, with S1 this got me Graves, so I think it works.
  19. Never posted my thoughts, so here goes: 75966 Hogwarts Room of Requirement is a fantastic set for $20, although that isn't exactly surprising considering this theme's track record. The new uniforms are great, as is the dummy, and it's good to get some Educational Decrees. The only issue I can think of is a lack of actual floor in the room, but that'll be fine as long as the set is displayed upon a shelf. 75967 Forbidden Forest: Umbridge's Encounter is a set I was expecting to get purely for the incredible figures, but I was blown away by that wonderful Grawp design, he looks almost perfect! My only issue is some of the prints, the two 1x2s on his vest don't really add anything and the shorts would've looked better had they been done with plain brown tiles, as the printing being only on the front looks a little funky. Still though, the build is great, and this has to be my favorite sub-$100 set of the wave! 75968 4 Privet Drive is the set I had been most excited for, but it ended up being my least favorite of the six. Half of the figures are near-identical (or in Ron's case, fully identical), and the inclusion of almost the same car with the same flaws doesn't help. I really like the Dursley figures and the house itself, but all that isn't worth $70 by itself. This'll still be a day-one purchase, but I'll probably build it last rather than first. 75969 (nice) Hogwarts Astronony Tower is beautiful. The exterior is stunning and honestly looks on-on-par with 71043 from the exterior. I particularly enjoy the inclusion of more sand green this time around. The interior is probably the best of the four sets thus far, but the issue comes with the figures. Specifically, Draco and Lavender. Those prints just do not work for them imo. Other than that, I think all the party figures look good, as does the poop fountain. 75979 Hedwig is a... very interesting kit, but I think it looks good from all angles that aren't the one shown on the front of the box. The clockwork feature looks fun, and I love the inclusion of the letter. And, as someone who owns Yoda, this set is just creepy enough to rule alongside him on my repentance shelf. 75980 Attack on the Burrow is an objectively perfect build. It's accurate, clever, highly detailed, and fun. I particularly like the fireplace, self-knitting needles, and the slanting of the upper half. The only issues come with the figures. I've made peace with Bellatrix since we are getting her in the CMF, and Ginny's face honestly isn't that bad, but... Molly. That hairpiece does not look right, and it's just weird that she gets two smiling faces while her home is burnt to the ground. This is still easily my favorite set, though, and probably my favorite retail set out of all the sets from the revival (CMF and D2C not included). Super excited for all of these.
  20. It's either from the Calendar or an unknown set. It is the costume he wore during the Ministry battle, though, so all the folks who are confident that's coming finally have a shred of evidence.
  21. Hopefully the wait isn't much longer, and it's good to know that the payoff will be even greater than has been anticipated. Also, LordVoldemort needs to go. Hate to say it, but it's just true.
  22. Kingnono has just confirmed that he doesn't respond to dms, so LordVoldemort is a liar yet again. At the very least, he's staying true to his username. He also says to be patient, and that there's more coming than we think.
  23. He's saying its August "as per Toy Fair", but every source from Toy Fair has said June, plus they wouldn't release the Hedwig polybag in June if we aren't getting sets till August. He's probably just mistaken. Hopefully.
  24. 1. No. The only thing I could see happening post-DH is, if we ever get a UCS Hogwarts Express, they might include figures based on the epilogue sequence. Even then, it'd be based on DH and not CC, but it'd be something. 2. Highly unlikely. I could see there being one if we get some huge triple-A game, but I think the most Hogwarts Mystery of games of the like might get would be small references, or at most an interior castle room. 3. Well, the 2 polybags include lots of different accessories for castle building, as does the 2019 calendar. As for a figure pack, we can always hope, but I have doubts.
