  1. If Gordon is an inventor, did he give to one of the claimed power roles yesterday to confirm himself?
  2. Hey, it’s not my fault the conversation around here is dead.
  3. I think the day one vote on Barty is a point in Timothy’s favor. Voting for a scummate on day one is not unusual, but voting for a scummate third on as the town looks for someone to pile on? That’s less likely. I’d rather see Timothy investigated than to be tested through lynch. That’s an exciting theory, with zero base in reality. Anyone could potentially inherit a kill (if they’re scum). This post is flailing, not so much townie. But I appreciate you not just rolling over and playing dead
  4. It’s not usually a scum role at all. I’ve never heard of it being a scum role, to be honest, though it’s possible.
  5. I encouraged it. It doesn’t mean a single person did it. You obviously didn’t... dingus.
  6. Everyone was claiming to him? Really? Malcom, of course we have other stuff to discuss today, but the case against Geoffrey is already to the point that I don’t know what could change my mind.
  7. Your story is holier than a block of Swiss cheese So, the two other claims yesterday, you trusted them as a town block, but the jail keeper claim was unsure to you. Hmm You tracked Timothy day one, coincidentally, with no results. Hmm. And your night two results you want to keep secret... so nobody can counterclaim your lie publicly. Convenient That’s Geoffrey yesterday, when he switched his vote quite late from the trusted town block blocker, to the soon to come up scum Barty. He did specifically say he trusted Patrick more than Louisa... convenient since Barty would come up scum. i was going to do more investigating and fingerpointing, but you know what? This quote is about as damning evidence as you could possibly have. The time to claim was in private, yesterday, to somebody. It was unlikely any of the three were scum, and virtually impossible all three were scum. You’re walking the plank today, dude And that is why compulsory voting is so important! Oh, and before I forget... oh my gosh, I’m still alive! I was sure that last night was going to be the night the scum took me out. It seems I was yet mistaken.
  8. Wow, those are fantastic results Even better than I could have hoped for. It looks like Barty was being protected from a lynch day one, meaning if any of our fine vote analysts want to go over it, we’ll be able to see a little more. Nigel, that watcher is pretty useful, eh? Patrick, what was Geoffrey’s reasoning? I was pretty clear on the fact that you’re town. Why would you be the choice to track? If it were me, I’d have tracked Timothy to verify if they were out at night being nefarious. Now, this is the crux, did Geoffrey contact you before or after the watcher’s info was public? And if they tracked you, why did that result prove you to be town in their eyes? And why did they even need to test that when Barty’s result could prove you town? There are a lot of ominous questions dangling above Geoffrey’s head, and they better show up here soon with a believable story, or this day is going to be decided for in the wee hours.
  9. I’m pretty confident in the three town claims today. It would be a massive risk for scum to false claim. They killed night one, and shouldn’t know what, if any, ability their victim might have had. (There’s basically one very unlikely chance, that they had a very rare role in the European Bricktillion, the day investigator, and even there, they’d use that info for private connections, not public ones, IMO, certainly not the way these roles came out today) if you have a role, you should claim to one of the three, Louisa, Patrick or Nigel, preferably two of them, so they can have knowledge should one of them pass. Personally, I’d go so far as to say, if you’re a townie with a role who hasn’t claimed to those three by the start of day four, A) you will be really suss if you all of a sudden claim later on and B) you’re not playing this game well. An active, cooperative town is the key to rooting out these imperial scum. Play your part. and Timothy, eyes are in you If Barty is town, you’re at the top of the list.
  10. I’m not voting for Louisa over that. That’s not a counterclaim. It’s cute that you want to be subtle, but sometimes everybody is better off if you’re clear, and we wouldn’t have wasted half the day on a bogus claim. Likely you’re both town, and one of the people you blocked was the scum killer, since the only other option would be the doctor protected correctly, which is unlikely. i trust Louisa‘s claim in as much that scum wouldn’t need to put themselves out there like that. She wasn’t really under pressure when she claimed. I have business to do, I’ll try to check in and change my vote if we go for the one Louisa claimed to block (I forget at the moment), but Barty was suss on day one, I’m fine going that way. vote: Barty *Shoot, I wrote all that not having loaded up page 3. Sorry if that is behind in the conversation. I was addressing the jailer. If any other townies want to claim...don’t! Why are you claiming?!
  11. Patrick, scum will target you regardless, IMO. Are you counterclaiming, or are you claiming for someone else? If it’s you, I’ll vote Louisa immediately. If you’re speaking for someone else, I might have doubts.
  12. I’m still alive? Remarkable. I was sure last night was going to be the night the scum went for me. It’s unfortunate about Remy, but then again, was it? He couldn’t be bothered to show up for the most part. Of course the goal is to weed out the scum, but between active townies and lazy townies, I know which ones I’d rather see sleep with the fishes. I have to review yesterday, but I’m leaning toward the guy who didn’t vote for Remy and thought he was town. Maybe that was Nigel? I forget. Anyway, the only ‘town’ thing Remy did was be lazy, and I don’t think that’s a good motive not to vote for him.
  13. If you have a night role, claim it now so no one else can claim it later. If it’s important, maybe we can turn things around, and at the very least make scum waste night actions on you. Why would people approach you in private if you’re not even playing in public? And it’s the *towniest* of town. Towniest. And as that is the superlative form of the word, that means there can be only one
  14. Yup, I have a feeling Remy is likely a lazy vanilla townie. At the very least, he’s not a team player.
  15. Mental note: Nigel is unsure about the Remy vote, despite there being some solid reasoning behind it (at least as far as day two is concerned). If Remy comes up town, Nigel’s “town play” is on the record. Looking back, Nigel is still foolishly voting for me over an off hand comment at the start of the day, despite far better options. Yes, that is noted too. I think it’s becoming important to lynch Remy. If he were to survive the day, we’d be back to start tomorrow without anything to judge things on. There’s zero chance that he’d be night-killed by scum. Looking at the fact that Remy can’t be bothered to defend himself, he could well be a lazy vanilla townie, but he could be a scared, hopeless scumbum. I’ve seen both cases in my long and storied piracy career.
  16. Actually, proper scummery will call out three suspect folks, two town and one scummate. And on day one it’s often safe to vote for them since it’s very unlikely to lead to a lynch. Are you still sure you highly doubt it? It was to have fun and confound n00bs. Seriously, I think it’s ridiculous to analyze it as much as people have. You may as well hold a trial into why Gordon claims to be a furry. At this point though, I’ll make an issue to call attention to being alive every day that I am.
  17. Louisa’s pinging me now too. Falling in line when called out, not really giving a decent reason for changing her feelings (“it feels too led”?), and weakly growing suspicion on me, mainly because some others have. Sheep or scum, hard to say just yet. If Remy is scum though, yeah, I think there’s a fair chance she is too. *“Town led” dang pirate iPad *throwing suspicion
  18. Going over things, I do think it’s good to consider day one’s votes, as some have said. I think the scum would have been happy railroading a townie day one if they could. They can do that WIFOM bit where they just chill and let us get paranoid and throw accusations around willy nilly, but I think they would have happily piled on to Remy or Barty if they were innocent pirates, just to help the lynch pick up momentum. So I’d like to look at those two. So far, Remy is the pick (and keep note of those choosing to start a vote in a different direction. This is a team activity, so you should have very strong reasons if you want to push back against the flow. We’re pirates, not cowboys. vote: Remy No Remy, this is not a helpful statement. If you are lynched today, most of the votes will be town. Yes, that’s right. I think you’re onto something with this line of thought, and contrary to what I just said, this is a legit reason to vote against the flow.
  19. And I’ve explained it was a deliberate statement that I didn’t regret. I think the mistake is the folks who think that that is some sort of scum ploy to.... what exactly? Anyway. I can promise you I’ll say the exact same thing tomorrow if I’m alive... except I won’t be surprised since scum would never night kill someone who’s getting votes. Thanks for keeping me safe!
  20. Sorry, you’re confused, so you think I deliberately confused you to brush away a mistake? What was the mistake? I said what I said, I have no interest in taking it back. I don’t think you’re scummy over this vote, but I’ve made note of it. I’m going to go have some grog, go over what’s been said, then place a vote. At the very least, I think we need to demand everyone vote today, lynch or not. We need to put some cards out on the table.
  21. To address the five parrots pirates who quoted the exact same thing from me: by ‘sure’, I meant I want the Imperials to think they should take me out, so they wouldn’t... or they would, because you don’t ask to be taken out if you want to, so I must be alluding to something else. Do I want them to take me out, or do I want them to avoid me at night? I don’t know, it’s all very ridiculous when five parrots ask you to explain the exact same thing. There’s about a 99% chance that one or two of that five is Imperial scum just bandwagoning for the heck of it. Timothy Dixon probably analyzed my quote poorest. Anyway, I have no opinion on Remy at the moment. It seems like some small things are getting blown up to 400%, thrown on the wall, poked with pins, and networks of red string are being tied on it... all coming out to gibberish. At the same time, I don’t have any better suggestions.
  22. Oh, I’m still alive! I was sure the scum would take me out last night. I haven’t deeply followed through on yesterday’s happenings, but scanning through the comments today, there’s something I want to point out: only the scum know which of us are loyal. So, the more inexperienced of them might make a loyal-play by defending a loyal pirate a little too vociferously. Personally, I’m fine with a first day boot. Any useful pirate should manage a solid day one defense. Any loyal pirate able to be railroaded on day one isn’t going to add much to the hunt.
  23. I’m happy with my vote on Barty at the moment. Quoting me to say they agreed with me about voting, then supposing my vote on them was a revenge vote... are we not Pirates? Pirates do not revenge vote, it’s simply not good strategy. Especially when the initial vote was for a non-reason. He might have well voted for the bird because birds are scummy. You vote for your suspicions. A second person on my radar is Louisa. Lots of busy talk and being out front in the early hours, which is good, but maybe a little over-active and scattershot for my tastes on day one. If a sudden pile-on were to form on her, I’d get in on it, but no reason to move my vote their now. Day one is looking like a non-lunch And a non-lynch
  24. And again, the seas go quiet. Anyone else feel like voting?
  25. A vote for you, so you jump in to throw a vote elsewhere immediately after? Maybe it’s a coincidence, maybe it’s Imperial scum. I’m willing to take that chance. Vote: Bartholomew “Barty” Brewster I think we’ll all be better off if we consider it compulsory. At the very least, we’ll be able to separate the true seamen from the bilgewater. I’m hoping we have a lot of seamen on this ship.
