The Blue Brick replied to KaPusta's topic in LEGO Licensed
I used to have this set until I sold off my whole collection. Anyways, great review of this awesome set. -
I' definitely going to pick this set up as soon as I can. I'm also in the process right now of designing the a mini new town hall.

Side by side comparisons of the old and new Batman Minifigures?
The Blue Brick replied to B-Lister's topic in LEGO Licensed
I still wish I had all my old 2006 Batman sets and figures. I ended up selling the whole line for $1,500 shipped couple years back. I' in total regret now. They are worth so much more than what I ended up spending it on. -
I would want cheese slopes with a stud on top, and 1x4 plates with studs on both sides to build upside down much easier

Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?
The Blue Brick replied to Turaga of Force's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeah, if only I had the money to buy all the rare parts in the colors my heart desires. My friend does have a couple of them though that he purchased off of Bricklink. I was jealous when he showed me his moc that had them. I was in awe. -
I think everyone is still in awe about the new modular building. I just got done staring at it after 30 minutes now. Well anyway, awesome conversion DrNightmare. I love how you kept the dark green and how it has a lot of functionality. Brick on.

Oh, that makes much more sense now thanks.

The interior is great with all the balconies and the different rooms. This is definitely a must by for me. Also, not sure if this has been mentioned before, but are those 1x1x2 windows on the balcony, I' not sure if my eyes are deceiving me.

A bunch of old-school-looking emergency vehicles (many pics inside)
The Blue Brick replied to Farnheim's topic in LEGO Town
I love the classic feel of all your vehicles. They remind me of mine. Awesome job. -
This is absolutely magnificent! I'm just wondering what the interior will consist of.

I myself have also tried to bleach my bricks, mostly from the 80's and it didn't work. I now have all my yellowed white bricks in a container and I actually sometimes use them for mocs, such as old buildings or bases where they are not seen. Thats how I use them now. I might try some of these tips that you suggested now.

I was at Walmart today and got Pharoh's Quest Flying Mummy Attack for $7.50, and Lego City Police Chase for $12.50. I love after Christmas sales.

I love this moc, and the idea of a drive through coffee shop. Just make sure your sleeveless minifigure doesn't catch a cold.

Yeah, I thought it was odd that they would mark down new sets that just came out in the U.S, but I was talking to the manager of the toy area and she said that they would be getting another shipment of lego in the next week or two. She said the day after christmas everyone kept buying them since they were marked down and it was almost like another black friday. I also agree that we aren't sure yet if they will sell good, since they haven't been put on the shelves everywhere, and that was just a small fraction of consumers. I guess we'll have to wait, but I certainly love this line so far, and can't wait to get my hands on them.

Lego 8426 Disney's CARS Escape at Sea Review
The Blue Brick replied to legofan's topic in LEGO Licensed
I just got this set at Walmart today for just $7.50. It was definitely a great deal for mainly the parts. Also, very nice review. -
I just got back from Walmart and they had none of the friends sets left. They were completely out. Surprisingly, they were also marked down from after christmas sales. Also when I was there, there was a group of girls ages 5 to 10, and they were wining because they wanted the new sets. The mother actually said if they wanted to get the Marina, but they yelled, we don't like city anymore, we like friends. It cracked me up and shows that alot of girls do like these new sets.

Awesome review. I'm definitely going to get this the next time I got to Walmart. -
weirdest place you've found random LEGO?
The Blue Brick replied to slovakiasteph's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've actually found random lego at a lot of different places. I once found a couple of old 1990's pirates figs behind my old computer desk when I was moving everything to paint the room. Outside of my house, I found a starwars clone trooper at a car wash near the vacuum cleaner and air compressor. I also found a couple of lego bricks in my backyard that were all grimy from the weather. The most surprising place I found random lego though had to be in my dogs defication. Trust me I never got those back, and never let my dog into my lego room since. -
Yes, I enjoy the Death Star much more than the Shuttle. Definitely get The DS.

I actually just got a couple of bins for christmas. After sorting for the last week, I think I'm going to need a lot more. I only got 1/3 of my way through my collection and disassembling my sets when i suddenly ran out of room. My brother that bought me the bins thought I would only need one or two until he actually saw my collection. He almost fainted.
