Re-boxed Lego Sets sold as bootlegs...
The Blue Brick replied to 88high's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm confused. So are these like other knock offs where they copy the sets and pieces but are low quality, or are they 100% lego and were taken out of a lego box and put into the Bio Block box. Your wording is quite confusing, but anyways, if it is real lego, then it should be stopped. If it is just a copy, but lower quality, then it should be left alone as there are many companies copying lego designs. -
This is great. It would look awesome in a micro city.

The Blue Brick replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Post the picture please. I've been waiting too long and already know this is going to be a great series. I have this weird lego feeling. -
10228 Haunted House
The Blue Brick replied to Ricecracker's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This set is absolutely beautiful. It really is a must buy, even though it was more than I was expecting. It is still great nonetheless. All of the sand green. The only detail I don't like are the zombie heads above the pillars. I'll just take them out and replace them with cylinders. -
These are excellently designed. I love the deer, cheetahs, and kangaroos. Lego definitely needs more animals, especially with the newer forest themes.

This is excellent. I love it and the size of it. I always wanted to make a HUGE city with many different districts. Doing it mini is perfect and really captures a more urban environment with using less parts.
-
I really like this idea. I could always have more trees, especially since I wouldn't need to buy more fire sets or bricklink the pieces. They are great designs, and you could be creative and make different ones with the pieces too. Thats why I love lego .

Growing up in the late 80's and early 90's, I loved the pirate theme once it first hit the shelves. I would always get the smaller sets on my birthday. Then after about two years of saving up with my older brothers, we got the Black Seas Barracuda. We loved it. I will always have that spot in my heart for classic pirates. I do enjoy the new POTC though with its more realistic/detailed ships.

I always use the excuse, their for my daughter's birthday. The cashier always replays, she'll love it. There really for me though, and the friends month does seem quite fun. I can already think of a pink boat sailing the rough soaring seas.

Thanks LT. I can never build vehicles without doors. It just looks odd without them too me. I'm currently working on another 5 wide right now. I'll try to get it up next week.

This is a really awesome project. I love the layout, and it looks even better in brick.
-
Beautiful. I love the facade, it is so nicely designed with the color choices. I love the brickwork too. You never fail to impress us with your modulars "brickcitydepot". I can't wait to see your future designs, maybe some more victorian or even modern.

This is great. I love how you expanded it. The tiled floors make it look a lot nicer and the Hulk statue is a great detail.

Great review. I'll definitely pick this set up since its small and cheap. I really like the new mining hats. The other mining sets seem too large for my city although they are still nice.

Okay sorry. Thanks Phred. I didn't realize I posted two. I posted the first one, but my server timed out so I thought I lost it.

V-LV-28E Hello everyone. Today I will be showing you my first attempt at a 5 wide car. I mainly build in the classic 4 wide or newer 6. This was my first attempt so there are still a few errors or things I need to change. First off, you can only fit the half the minifigure (no legs) and I need advice on making a better rear. As of now I can't find any brackets that would work. Any tips on how to make it better or fix it would be greatly appreciated. I'm still trying to figure out 5 wides. Check out my other pictures on my Flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/78731193@N06/

[rant] LEGO sets missing minifigs
The Blue Brick replied to Lego Otaku's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This really is sick. I can only imagine how a child would react when he would open up the box to find no minifigure. That was always my favorite part as a child. This has never happened to me, but I still feel disgusted. I bet the culprit has done it to more sets that people bought for their children too, not just the three. I'm guessing he has done a lot as you've gotten three boxes already. -
This is an excellent little moc. Very colorful and cute. I love the design of the recycling bins. The cardboard reminds me of myself bringing a stack of pizza boxes to the dumpster after a large party. They always fall over.

Batman Minifig Customisation Contest
The Blue Brick replied to LuxorV's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Great contest, sound like tons of fun. I'll be going purist for this one. -
I bought all of them at Walmart after Christmas during the sale. All of them were on the shelves while the rest of the themes were wiped out. I mainly bought them because of the price"50% off", but found most of the pieces were useless as most were printed. I just keep them on display, and still have a few unopened. I definitely say it was a cute theme, especially for kids, but not the best for myself.

This is a great moc. I love the tram, building, and cute little grey car.

I love those urinals. That bathtub is such a great technique also. Please keep them coming.

I just got bad from DC/Washington for my vacation. I managed to go to the Potomac and Tysons Corner stores. The Potomac store had nothing, while Tysons was all gold. They had purple 2x3 plates, 2x4 tan bricks, 1x3 tan bricks, 2x2 round in green and blue trans, old white horses, 1x2 clear brick, door frames with door, 2x2 tan tiles, red flowers, stems, and various tiles in many colors. My eyes lit up when I saw the bricks, especially after seeing the previous hauls a couple of pages back. I'll try to get pictures up soon and figure out the PAB price of my purchase. It was definitely my best PAB haul ever. I still wish I would have gotten more.

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
The Blue Brick replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
I really abhor the new spider set. I was really disappointed with the figs at first, but they grew on me to thinking I would buy the set. Now that I see the design, it is a must not. -
Great design and very cute. I love the garage on the first floor.
