Yeah I didn't realize how expensive they were. Major Vonreg's TIE is waaaaaay to much for what is shown, even with the new molds, and black ace is also strangely expensive. I don't get why resistance is so expensive. There are a few new molds, but other than that nothing even helps contribute to the price hike. And action battle endor is $30? the $60 hoth I can see, but not the others. Eh, I'll buy it anyway for the scout trooper and printed tiles.

I don't mean to be rude but I think that actually helps disprove your point. Lego and marvel would want to keep the endgame sets as secret as possible until the moment of release, whereas with something like the flintstones they could show whenever without hurting anything.

Thank you! The point of this is that it appeals to CHILDREN. I'll buy the endor set to test out this whole gimmick, as well as get those sweet figures, but along with most adults, I just won't buy much of them. We shouldn't be complaining that sets meant for kida are too blocky or childish if they have to fit in massive action features all over to make the gimmick work. Honestly, the problem isn't with LEGO, it's with us. Vonreg's TIE is so good, I won't buy it as I hold out hope for an imperial TIE interceptor ( And need to save some of my wallet between the 20th sets and Endgame sets), but it looks amazing. Black ace is cool i guess, I will never understand why they opted to do this instead of the fireball but it does look pretty good. The boxes for those 20th anniversary sets hit me right in the nostalgia, and solidify my purchase of Slave one.

Just what I was thinking, especially since they never officially stated an April release was true. Although, that means Iron Man and DUM-E is going to be sold retail. I'm very happy about that, as i can just buy more of those and put the heads of avengers from the sets I'm not going to buy on the suit from that polybag.

my sentiments exactly. Happy we can get a QR suit in a polybag as well. I don't know. It might well be that the outriders are the only villains appearing in the scenes the WMB and captain america "motorbike" are in (besides thanos of course). And we all know kids need bad guys for the avengers to fight, and since we aren't the main consumer base of these, that's what we get. I'm not mad about it, for all we know these are spot-on recreations of scenes.

I think that that's pretty likely. We know we will get thanos and hulk, as well as the MK 85. At most, one would be possible in the HOA based on what we already know, (I still think it'll be tony and rescue), but no more than that really. This means we MUST get at least hulk and thanos in the biggest set, and captain marvel's likely too if she has a big role in this. Adding to it that it's the final battle, and i could see the original avengers showing up. I have to ask though, is original 5 a typo or are we not counting hawkeye/ronin?

So mustafar, if true, would seem to support the theory of a summer 2019 wave as well as the others. I know 4 in a year is weird but it is both the 20th year of the theme and the year that IX comes out. (Hopefully we get more info on IX soon based on al those tweets by Anthony Daniels.) And we also have the "jaws" summer set. Interesting. And if mustafar is true, we could see more of a focus on duels, with of $20-30 renditions of famous duels with the figures of the principle participants. Like the starkiller duel that was just revealed! I would love a senate duel, cloud city, smaller versions of snoke and palpatine's throne rooms, etc.

Yeah i wanted the new war machine figure and wong but I don't think the pack's ever shown up in the US yet.

AAARGH! That's disappointing. I will reserve judgement on the stupid captain america bike, variable outrider designs, and strange quinjet colors just in case they match the movie. But I made the mistake of getting my hopes up that the QR figures would be polybags, and am SEVERELY disappointed. New ant-man helmet i think, that's good i guess. War Machine Buster, (i was so wrong about the name) looks amazing, a bright point in this wave for me. HOA and final battle better be AMAZING or, who am i kidding I'm buying them all anyway. I can't tell who's on the bike thing in the quinjet or who's piloting it, anyone know? Stoked that we could see the endgame and FFH sets in all their glory at the toy fair though.

When was the last gungan sub, 2012, right? i guess it's been a fair amount of time, but for a set that I can't imagine appeals to most kids due to the lack of weapons and play features that could be made, along with the fact that it won't appeal to many AFOLS either, I don't see it getting a remake anytime soon. I will hold out hope for my Mon Cala star cruiser, or something else that hasn't been a lego set yet. But we have gone 16 years without a bomber (and counting) and almost as long without a TIE interceptor, so you can never really tell why lego makes decisions like that. And yeah, i think this'll be the new "set possibility outlawed after it makes the rounds through all the fan sites and somehow transforms into something people believe as a confirmation without any substance", to put it one way.

Same here. I'm really disappointed. They didn't update rey, kylo's missing the ripped cape, the trees look way to short and thick, and it just overall feels like more of a moc then a set. And then theres a random stud shooter for some reason. I won't be buying this as i already have rey and kylo figures.

Exactly, in both points. A war machine buster would be made to combat war machine, a pretty strange plot twist for endgame if it was the correct thing. The 2018 hulkbuster was called hulkbuster because it was still a model of hulkbuster armor, and Banner just piloted it. And as long as I get my black and grey hulkbuster, i'll be satisfied with the set, no matter what the name. And then i can go bankrupt collecting like 20 of them.

Well most sound ok based on what we've heard so far, are you sure these aren't translated? "captain america battle" and "war machine buster" just sound wrong. And I hope against hope for an avengers compound, but I think based on the "final battle" rumors we have heard about that set, it won't be the avengers compound as the build. Especially since the "armor room" is basically just part of the compound. Unless it connects...

I don't know. I feel the kashyyyk set and dropship are both good for the price, and while I adore the new slave 1 model and sorely need one, I think it's incredibly overpriced. But yeah, Zuckuss's inclusion is what pushes me over the edge to buy it, as broke as I'll be.

i didn't pick up on that. So either it's just a hairpiece included with the QR iron man polybag/set he appears in, as golden ninja 3000 said, or just fake. I'm exited to see a new type of plane in a marvel set. Has there EVER been any plane besides some form of a quinjet in the marvel line? ( Watch it get revealed to be another quinjet )

When the figure first leaked I thought we would be getting a resistance bomber vs dreadnaught microfighter or something. Glad you could get a figure though. One of my friends here in the US tells me that customer service won't give him one.

I could see them doing that, or even them revealing one set such as armor room like Scarilian said, to build (pun not intended) up hype for the movie without spoiling anything. But I think that it might still be early for most of the endgame merch, seeing as they are getting to the point of possibly editing people out of the trailer. I mean, this movie is going to be bigger than infinity war.

Yes, the QR suits are probably devised with merchandising in mind. Ant-Man's suit may not needed to have changed, but it keeps the uniformity of the suits and gets another variant on shelves. Which ties into the fact that the only money marvel studios received from homecoming was merchandising, and i think it's the same agreement for FFH. So hopefully no one starts complaining about the 3+ suits we could see in the wave. Scott, talking to the other avengers about his suit: "yeah, I've used this suit for the 3 years I've been ant man" Tony, who makes 482 suits a day: "WHAT?!?! You were going to fight THANOS in something THAT old?!?!?"

The duel figure polybag has been done before, like in TLBM, as mentioned earlier. Are you counting the nanofigure of QR ant man?

I believe you and your source. I think they would put them in polybags that they sell at target or whatever, but as long as one is wide-release i don't see there being a huge problem with buying multiples and putting the existing heads on them. I doubt the new captain america helmet and print for the war machine helmet would be contained to polybags, and the only other character with a new print/mold we've seen in the QR suit is nebula, who you say is the only one in an actual set. (I'm guessing the HOA but hoping for anything else as nebula's inclusion would hurt Rescue's chances of being in it.) Exactly. With the unisex torso thing I also feel that it better resembles them based on the concept art, and leads to a nice uniform look.

Yes. I would pay well above $130 for a good hammerhead corvette. Heck, I'd sell half my large rebel ships on bricklink for one if they ever made one. As you said, lego hasn't spent much attention on solo or rogue one since their first 2 waves and I would hope that they are going to tap the WEALTH of sets they could make from it. Hopefully we'll get more focus on them after the IX sets, if nothing else.
