Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
hvader replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I hope LEGO doesn’t just reuse the Age of Ultron Cap torso and plain legs and just put the new head and helmet on top. -

Cap’s head looks dead on Endgame to me. Hopefully the torso (even if it’s comic version) will not disappoint. I do wonder if the leaked female hair piece could be Valkyrie by any chance. -

I have a feeling that next year’s sets will be better than the Endgame wave -

Maybe Thanos mech is actually a brick-built version of his golden armor from Endgame? That would look super weird though -

haha i didn’t know that! Thanks for clarifying. Lego Thanoscopter would be a dream come true. do you think these “mighty mechs” would have some kind of gimmick or unique play feature for the sub-theme (if that’s what Lego is going for). BTW big fan of your YouTube channel! -

Thanos in a Spider-Man set makes no sense to me. But Thanoscopter is a day 1 buy if Lego actually makes it. -

I'm actually quite convinced that this Thanos is an Endgame variant. The face looks exactly like the scaled down version of the Lego MCU Thanos. The texture of his chin and the skin tone are almost identical to the two MCU big figs that we got. Praying for a new helmet mold. -

For sure. Detroit Steel set was overall comics but the Lola car concept is pretty much from the Agents of Shield show. Again I believe that LEGO would want to take advantage of the biggest movie of all time. They gotta throw some MCU stuff in there to boost the sales. -

I still (for some reason) believe that this is a wave with a mix of comic and Endgame elements. Again, LEGO has thrown in movie figures in comic sets before. -

I actually think it would be better if the Iron Man and Thanos in those small and most likely cheap mech sets are Endgame variants, as they currently only come in the most expensive Endgame sets. -

Speaking of Endgame sets, I’m still clinging onto that one last bit of hope that we might see some movie figs thrown into those sets (take the Iron Man figures in the 2016 comic sets for example). Maybe the Thanos is a movie minifig after all as the texture on his face resembles his MCU variants more than his comic counterparts. I still want an accurate MCU Thanos, even if he’s just a minifig. -
Ok, I'll try that. Thanks! :)

Now I stack about 5 boxes with the exact same size together, since I feel that can at least distribute some weights equally. So far it's working fine, but I'll continue to observe.
-
Another question, if there’s a space limitation and I must stack the boxes, how many of them (maximum) should I stack without worrying about the problem you talked about?
-
I have a lot of MISB sets, most of them are new sets. I guess I have a weird habit of liking to keep my sets in a brand new condition. It saves up a lot of space so you can buy more sets than if you were to build all of them. Thank you for the help!

Love the Marvel comic sets! However, I do understand people’s complaints that these are not Endgame sets. Endgame is the finale of the Infinity Saga so its merchandise is definitely highly sought after. I also do feel that there are some uniform variants that I would have absolutely loved to have seen in Lego form. To be honest, I’ll be happy with any good Marvel set Lego puts out. Still, I can’t help but feel that Lego missed an opportunity here to make more sets based on what is now the biggest film of all time. -
Thank you for the advice!

Is it possible that the D2C release date is actually later this year? Possibly Christmas season? -

No way that’s what zebra means as it is a code name used by various themes, not just Marvel. -

I really have a feeling that bricktober packs are not a thing anymore, as they were a Toysrus thing. I believe that "zebra" is a completely random codename, other toylines such as Transformers do this all the time. I don't think "zebra" really gives us any implications. We should perhaps wait until further info comes out to discuss this more in depth. -

Honestly I think even if the sets are comic-based, we might still get movie figures. The previous Avengers comic/cartoon line from 2016 had movie Iron Man armors included with the sets. -

I’m 90% certain it’s comic Panther. Looks like we aren’t getting another Endgame wave :( Still hoping to at least get a scale suit Cap in one of these sets... -

Yeah I don’t see brown either. Plus I believe Thanos’ eyes are either blue or green in the MCU
