LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
lego_guyon02 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If one of the unknown sets does turn out to be a Mandalorian Fighter I do wonder wether it will be an updated version of the last set (white and blue) or based on the Nightbrother (Maul's personal black and red ship) -

Idk if someone already mentioned it somewhere in the last few pages of debate, but is anyone else concerned about the Buzzard's price? I really don't see how they could make it look good with such a low price -

I'm considering buying Kylo's shuttle as well but I'll wait untill I've seen the set pics for the Night Buzzard just in case they reuse Aplek and Ushar (though that's highly unlikely) I completely agree. The only reason I'd buy that set if it existed are the possible Bad Batch figures That would be awesome! -

Doesn't really suprise me tbh, the movies are watched by way more people than the shows so an obscure movie vehicle will most likely sell better than an obscure show vehicle. Also, they needed a place to throw in the remaining Knights -

You should be prepared to spend a crap ton of money if you're bricklinking Trudgen and Vicrul -

Isn't the movie going to be rated r or am I just misremembering things? Because if that's the case I think the closest we'll get to movie sets are the comic tie-ins we've been getting for the last few years -

I don't really care about the Avengers game so these achievement spoilers don't really bother me. But maybe it would've been better if you guys used spoilertags for those who didn't want to get spoiled? Just a thought -

Though it's probably not gonna happen I really hope they put Trudgen in the Night Buzzard as well. He's the only KoR that comes in a set I really don't care about and his figure alone is pretty expensive -

I you choose to ignore someone (in this case me) that's fine, I really don't care. But don't disrespect people just because they're being realistic and share that opinion. Discussions? Great! Speculation? Great! Suggesting sets for upcoming years? Fine, but keep it in the realm of possibility. If we don't do that it won't be long untill someone suggest a Battle of Hogwarts set with 100+ figures and this thread will go off the rails real fast... -
Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

A new theme called Night Mode has just leaked. They are boxes with LED-lights to light up sets, one of them is for the Hogwarts D2C. I personally don't own that version of the castle but if the price for these light-sets aren't too high I'll definetely pick up 1 or 2 to light up my minifigurescale Hogwarts. This has been brought up a few times before and a lot of people (including me) don't really see this work. Ofcourse it would be great for lego to put the CoS under the current sets so they can elevate them but that idea clashes with the current connectivity of sets. The CoS in this concept would cause a major height difference resulting in the connection system either not working or lego needing to release a rock-section for every single Hogwarts set they release, which is kinda unrealistic. I think a set with the CoS on the inside and just a random piece of castle on the outside is far more likely to happen. These ''rules'' aren't really rules as they've never really been put on paper. Obviously a lot of sets can be made. Even the boathouse could happen, but judging from the past it's unlikely if we look at the scenes it's featured in. But they could still make it but not based on such a scene as previously mentioned. As for "it's much more fun to explore and discuss any possibilities with an open mind rather than shutting down every avenue bought forward'', I strongly disagree. Sure, it's fun to speculate and see what everyone thinks. But there have been many occasions where some members (who shall remain unnamed) have come up with incredibly unlikely suggestions that we already know have no chance of happening. Speculating is fun, but we have to keep the discussion within the realm of possibility -

I don't really see that happening as that would require a new mold. And ignoring the fact you can only seat one figure in it the current size of the gyrosphere is pretty much perfect -

Do you really think 5 seconds of screentime with Lucius and Voldy makes it more likely to get the boathouse? No way they would give us the boathouse with small brickbuilt boats. Besides the boats not lining up with the one we got in the GH that older boat wouldn't even fit. They really try to be consistent in this theme. And as someone who has build his own boathouse I can tell you the building needs to be at least 12x16 studs to be able to hold a boat and for minifigures to have (minimal) room for play/posing -

lego_guyon02 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't think they'll ever tackle either of those. Bridges don't really fit with the current connection system and the boathouse doesn't fit with the scale. And considering lego tries to stay away from directly giving us a character's death scene there really is no reason for them to make the boathouse (Snape's death is the only time we see it from the inside) -

It will not be a rollercoaster, it will make use of a few rollercoaster tracks. The build itself will be based off the Gyrosphere Station from Jurassic World -

That's just a background detail because those AT-AT versions appear at the shipyards on Correlia where Star Destroyers are manufactured (in-universe), it wasn't a hint at a future UCS -
Not a fan of Wu's Dragon/Goat, just looks very meh to me. The Dungeon set does look promising but I'll wait for hd visuals to decide wether or not I want it Zane's Rhino looks good, definetely something we haven't seen before. But I'm still not that interested in it

I wouldn't mind a CoS that doesn't look like a castle section. I'll just pick out the pieces I want and build what isn't included myself and put it under my Hogwarts (once I've actually started putting the castle on a mountain base)
