LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Not that I have a problem with it but why are you replying to a comment from half a year ago that has absolutely nothing to do with the current discussion? Seems a bit random -
Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

It also depends on the theme and a theme's ''history''. Jurassic World has always had moulded dinosaurs so I wouldn't want them to change to brickbuilt dinosaurs for consistency sake and the HP reboot has always had brickbuilt creatures. I don't hate moulded creatures but I prefer brickbuilt with maybe some larger molds for a head. The 3 Fantastic Beasts we're fantastic, the Horntail wasn't awfull but could've certainly be much better. -

Then it's either nothing or a hint at this Cap coming in one of the sets (though idk why they didn't show him at TF if he is included) -

I don't see anything yet, are you sure it's not just old parts? -

I believe it had something to do with other colors not making the pieces strong enough to properly connect, though I do hope they'll make more colors sooner raher than later -

Then why did they include Griphook, one of the most important characters in that scene, in the CMF? I don't think they will make it a seperate set, though I'd be happy to be proven wrong next year. The RoR might connect to Hogwarts, according to Stonewars (if I remember correctly) it was a miscommunication Disagree, I vastly prefer actually building these creatures over moulded creatures you put together in 10 seconds. And imo the Horntail isn't nearly as bad as most people think it is, the only thing they really have to focus on is choosing/making the right headmold -

There's a good chance they included the Ironbelly in DA, if they planned on making the Gringotts infiltration a seperate set they wouldn't have put Griphook in the CMF -

Wouldn't suprise me if it's because people won't stop complaining about not getting clones C and D after getting A and B in a set -

I'd prefer having at least small interiors, especially for the shops like QQS that we don't actually get to see in the movies. Gives the designers some artistic freedom -

It'll probably be mostly fake books and a few exclusive prints (like Magical Me and other Lockhart books). The MBoM will most likely remain exclusive to the CMF (which makes sense) and I'm pretty sure it's also the only book in Harry Potter that would require a new mold. It would piss me off but my wallet would scream utter joy instead of bloody murder Just started putting the remaining DC CMF figures on my minifigure-wall untill I noticed something on Huntress' arms. They aren't dualmolded, just black with purple printing, but the purple printing does actually cover the entire shoulder. So I think the extended armprinting we've seen on Griphook is actually real and not a rendering error -

I would definetely want to see Padme in the set as she is criminally underused in LEGO sets and one of my favorite characters. But the only Interceptor to have more than 2 figures was Anakin's Interceptor from 2012, which was $10 more expensive than the new version will be. Jedi Starfighters are fairly similar, though Saesee Tiin's Starfighter from 2012 did come with 3 figures (though that's probably too old a set to properly compare to today's ''standards''). For long time SW fans this is most likely going to be a very boring and easy to skip set -

Looking at previous Interceptors I wouldn't expect more than Anakin and R2 -

I really hope the sets we know about atm are it for this year. The current total of setprices is already way too expensive imo, luckily things like the Tom Riddle book, Hedwig and Privet Drive are quite easy to skip. I agree with others when it comes to Diagon Alley, I hope it's cool but it would be awesome if I don't like it because $400 for a single set would be hard to justify. I really hope they'll have more small and medium sets next year as opposed to 3 $100+ sets -

You're right. They were revealed because of the 80th anniversary, the sets themselves didn't come out untill august -

I'm kinda undecided on it. On one hand the current raptor is definetely too big and something similair to last year's Dilophosaurus would be much more accurate. But on the other hand the size of that Dilo doesn't allow it to move anything (except for the lower jaw) so in the end I personally kinda prefer large and poseable over small and static. As for changing it I doubt it'll happen this or next year. The only Raptor we're getting this year comes in a 4+ set and we know those sets only come with reuses or recolors of dinosaurs. Next year is possible, but assuming Blue is still the only Raptor I doubt LEGO will want to give up the poseability she would have. -

Can we please just go back to topic? Just because 3 out of 5 Minions sets are being delayed because the movie is delayed doesn't immediately mean the same will happen to the Harry Potter sets (which aren't even tied to a new movie). We hear enough about the coronavirus on the news, it's all we hear really and I'm getting sick of it. There is no need to add 5 pages of pointless rambling about a potential change in releasedates. We're two months away from release and even if there is a delay, so what? We waited 7 years for this theme to return, waiting a few months extra for one of it's waves shouldn't be that hard. -

Black Widow is more likely to take the releasedate of Jungle Cruise, which releases July 24th. It all depends on how long this situation will last but we're still half a year away from the release of those sets so worrying about them is kinda pointless atm -
Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

2 of the sets are still coming out as planned, the rest has been delayed due to the movie itself being delayed. Harry Potter isn't tied to a new movie coming out and if the issue was with factories closing down those last 2 sets would've been delayed as well. So I'm not worried about these sets being delayed, not yet at least. -

As long as Harry Potter doesn't get delayed I'll be fine -
Since the announcement of LEGO's partnership with Dreamworks I've been sitting on an idea for a CMF based of what is in my opinion the best animated franchise ever: How To Train Your Dragon. I tried to create a nice balance between the movies and tv series so here's what I've come up with. Reference pictures are in the spoiler tags. 1. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III (How To Train Your Dragon) - Book of Dragons 2. Astrid Hofferson (How To Train Your Dragon) - axe Following 2 are under the same picture: 3. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III (How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World) - firesword Inferno and helmet 4. Astrid Hofferson (HTTYD: The Hidden World) - axe and helmet 5. Fishlegs Ingerman (HTTYD: The Hidden World) - Fishmeat 6. Snotlout Jorgenson (HTTYD: The Hidden World) - hammer 7. Tuffnut Thorston (HTTYD: The Hidden World) - Macey 8. Ruffnut Thorston (HTTYD: The Hidden World) - spear 9. Stoick the Vast (HTTYD 2) - axe 10. Gobber the Belch (HTTYD) - new hammer-hand mold 11. Valka Haddock (HTTYD 2) - staff and hair 12. Eret son of Eret (HTTYD 2) - sword 13. Drago Bludvist (HTTYD 2) - bullhook 14. Grimmel the Grisly (HTTYD: The Hidden World) - crossbow 15. Dagur the Deranged (Race to the Edge) - Berserker axe 16. Viggo Grimborn (Race to the Edge) - Maces and Talons gamepiece The normal series would end here as the CMF's seem to have only 16 spots nowadays but I do have an additional 4 characters if they were to include 20 figures. 17. Mala (Race to the Edge) - sword 18. Heather (Race to the Edge) - Razorwhip-axe 19. Alvin the Treacherous (Defenders of Berk) - axe 20. Trader Johann (Defenders of Berk) - knife

But if you thought AotC was a great movie you're pretty much saying you cared about it as a kid, while you previously said ''kids don't care'' The Minions sets are apparantly getting delayed because of the movie being delayed due to the coronavirus. Wouldn't surprise me if the same happened with the WW84 set https://www.promobricks.de/lego-minions-release-verschoben/97429/ -

Seeing a movie does actually influence wether or not a kid wants a set. If a kid loves a movie he/she will want a set based off it, if the movie was bad the appeal definetely decreases. -

Don't forget those movies on their own were just garbage. The DCEU movies overall are also just really incosistent: MoS and Aquaman had their flaws but were pretty good, WW was really average and extremely overhyped (just like Black Panther), BvS was meh and JL was awfull imo I'll gladly take a proper comicbook set over a DCEU set. -

We're not 100% sure but that's pretty much the only set in which the inclusion of this variant would make sense. It's based off this scene in PS: -

Given how underdetailed Space Batman is in the game itself compared to all other Batman variants it's most likely a figure designed by LEGO themselves (just because the set came out 2 months later than the game doesn't necessarily mean they based it off the game design)
