Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
ApocSlay replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Here's hoping. Would love her, Kingpin, Bullseye and Silver Sable any way we can. I do think Bullseye and Silver Sable are a while away yet from appearing in minifig form. I am surprised we haven't received Kingpin yet. -

Thanks for that. Much easier to see the difference in 3D as opposed to a book. Personally hoping that we get other suits before this, as they are still fairly close in appearance, and think they would be very similar in LEGO form when there are other suits I find more interesting - Gamma, Disco, Jack and Peacemaker -

I was wondering the same thing last night. The difference in detail is so small that I am not sure if LEGO could pull it off on a minifigure. -

Ha, she was my favourite character of the series, so I was pleased to get three copies of her :) I'm fortunate in that our local toy shop feels the blind bags and and then gives me a call when they have the series ready for me to pick up. Also save 15% on the RRP/fig as I'm a member of a local LUG Personally hoping for Dare Devil, Punisher, Kaecilius or Whiplash if the series is MCU. Really glad we're getting Iron Monger as Stein was on my list last week. If it happens to be a comic series then I'd love getting Moon Knight, Black Cat, classicWanda, Morbius, Zemo, Black Bolt, Arachne, classic Nick Fury, classic Captain Marvel or any X-Men. Would really be disappointed if at least one of my wish list characters didn't appear in some form Yes, and Heimdall. Skurge would make me happy too -
Heck yeah, I would love another Arkham. I have almost finished building the original one out of my spare parts and BrickLinked missing pieces. It's worked out cheaper than buying the set, probably because I had sooooo many unbuilt vehicle pieces. Got 10937 for my birthday last year thanks to my awesome wife, and she got me the TLBM set for Christmas when that released. Busy working on an Arkham Island MOC, but it is slow going. Yeah, seems we need a character to make an Arrowverse/movie appearance before they show up. Other than that LEGO uses the exact same villains over-and-over again...

Agreed. Considering how tight lipped Marvel were I won't shoot down the wave. Loved the hall of armor and, the Quinjet. Also don't think that the compound was horrendous, considering it was aimed at kids and not AFOLs specifically. It did make a good start for what could easily built into a larger set. Yeah, I agree. Ragnarok was probably my least favourite wave overall. I'm not convinced this was LEGO's fault. Comparing the wave with what we got in Infinity War I'd almost wager that this had more to do with Marvel's secrecy than anything else. Wish I could keep mine sealed, but a missing piece from one of my Infinity War sets (bought two of them) means that I now have to build each set so that I can be assured that is is complete. -
I didn't mind it that much, and it is one of the few DC sets I picked up last year. Overall the Batman/DC theme is so heavily vehicle focused that I thought is was nice getting something other than another Bat-boat/wing/mobile/bike. Makes far more sense to me in the Batverse than the $#!^ we've been getting in the Spider-Man theme. Also, I did rather like the different take on Batgirl, and also liked the fact that we did get a new character in Bronze Tiger. I only buy the DC sets if they have a character I don't already have, or at least a minifigure that's design I really like, and they seem to be few and far between the last couple of years. Definitely agree with you in that I'd rather be getting location sets instead of the repeated vehicles we seem guaranteed to get in round-robin waves.

Pretty much. I'd take '66 over Snyderverse any day. The '66 batcave was my first ever LEGO set and what got me into LEGO to begin with

Ha, also just re-watched the series. There have been a few minififures I've been hoping for, so fingers crossed. I'd love Siren, Louie the Lilac, Minerva, Olga, Clock King, Mad Hatter, False Face, Bookworm or Shame. The ones I'd like to see most are Siren, Louie the Lilac, Madhatter, False Face and Clock King. There are probably another dozen that haven't appeared in minifigure form yet.

Do we have any indication yet when 77905 will become available? Spent a bit of time today trying to find more info, but at this stage info is sparse -

Do we know when they will be available if they are S@H? CC will be happy if I can get this from S@H. After buying Arsenal and ATOM in the last two weeks I don't want to be adding another $300 to it -

Black widow would make a great game. Some scenes in the trailer remind me of CoD/Battlefield, and then they could base some more sets on the game -
@Anonknee MussNot sure why you are harping on about this. It is illogical for a multi-billion dollar multi-national to lie in this scenario. I don't see how you can be right when my own LEGO purchase history in his last year says the exact opposite of what you're saying - and indicates LEGO's statement as accurate. I bought every single Marvel set last year (huge fan of the MCU), and already bought most of this years sets. I even bought multiple duplicates of some Marvel sets last year (Iron Man HOA and three more Sanctum Santorums because they were being discontinued). I skipped the vast majority of DC sets because they had very few new characters (main draw for buying LEGO sets), and the builds are were somewhat repetitive for the most part when compared to previous years. I don't need another three jokers, 5 of the same Batman minifigure, or repeat sets that I already have when the sets are mainly vehicles. 2018/2019 Marvel waves were some of the best superhero waves ever imo, and people bought them. I don't see why Lego would lie, or you think that they are lying, because I know where most of my money has gone. If they were lying then would we see so many Marvel sets and so few DC sets? A good businesses doesn't invest more money in a product line that they have to lie to sell, especially when their target audience (kids) do not read financial results.

I know local stores that used to release stock early here have been reprimanded, so seems it is being enforced actively now. Looking forward to the BW set. Best Marvel set in a while, as at least the chopper makes sense, and seems to be a far better build than some of the junk we've had this year. -
I agree with both of these comments, and all I can think is, "Hey LEGO group read this page. You don't need to buy another AFOL site if you read these forums. Hey LEGO, are you there??? Yooooohhoooooooooo, LEGO, where are you????". I am far less likely to buy a set if it has another bat vehicle in it, in fact I'll only drop the cash if it has previously unreleased minifigures I want. Give me a decent SHG style set in the DC/Batman range and I'll happily drop a couple of hundred on it, but I bought hardly any DC sets last year because I already have too many rinse-and-repeat vehicle sets.

Yes! Yes! Yes! That is a vehicle set done properly. This is a day one must buy for me. I already have the TaskMaster from the comic line, so can easily that. Also think the fig is pretty cool. Overall think this is the best set we have gotten since HoA last year -
My local toy store sorts them and holds a complete set aside for customers that pre-order. Got a call today to say mine were ready. Love them all, but favourite has to be Huntress. Been hoping she'd appear in mf form since I started collecting Lego 3.5 years ago, so pleased to finally have her. The Flash and 1st appearance WW are a close 2nd/3rd. My wife saw the WW and now wants one too. Both kids want most o the series, so will probably be buying a few more of these.

Fortunately NZ prices have remained the same, which brings us more inline with US pricing. There are two stores I frequent for my LEGO needs, the first is a local store that sets aside a completed set of any new minifigs for subscribers, and then call you the day it is available. The good thing is no need to feel out the minifigs myself, and I get the completed set on day one without needing to waste an extra dime trying to find one I still need. The second store runs weekly 20% off discounts, which the first store will honour as well, so I never pay retail for my sets other than the CMFS. -

My favourite is Huntress. Been hoping she'd show up since I started collecting Lego three years ago. Second fav is The Flash. Already getting the full wave as I have it on order. Will get as many copies of each character as I can to try and secure a second series -

ApocSlay replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm with @Guyon2002 on this one. The only reason I have bought some $200+ sets is because of the minifigures that came with the set. I wouldn't by any Batmobile set if it didn't have some sort of exclusive minifigure with it, but I am considering the D2C releasing next month. I have only ever bought HP sets at greatly discounted prices and then sold the minifigs so in order to reduce the set to a price I'd be willing to pay for it - I got the Great Hall set for 160NZ$ (20%), and then sold the minifigs for 100NZD.60 Bucks is all that I thought the set was worth, but I bought two hall of armour sets specifically because I wanted multiple copies of the minifigs and paid full price. Exclusive DC/Marvel minifigs will always get my attention, especially if they are awesome in the order of the new Keaton Batman - that for me is a must-have. -
