  1. Just ordered and the limit was 2. hopefully won't take too long to be delivered
  2. 5.5 hours for me Hopefully can secure one as some sets sell out way too fast. Afaik it is on sale from tomorrow, not just pre-order
  3. If they were to release them, as an avid comics and MCU fan, I would have no problem displaying them all side-by-side without other buildings in-between. As a street I'd just display them in the order that they appear in NYC, working my way down towards Brooklyn. I'd customise my Bridge battle set and stick that in there too. I think it would make for interesting discussions with friends that are also comic fans. For me it would be no different to having a shelf displaying a ton of vehicles. Sure, this might not appeal to all fans, but most cities I have seen have incorporated Marvel builds with at least a few other sets, so not likely to be an issue for a large portion of AFOLs. All my LEGO sets are bought for the kids to play with (they just can't have the minifigures), so I have other builds in there in any case. I'm already working on building Daredevils apartment on top of the Central Perk
  4. The first Raimi SM movie is still my all-time favourite SM movie, so really happy seeing some references to it Yeah, especially considering he only ever appeared once Great idea! Also, another small set could be Chikara Dojo that comes with Steel Serpent. Something that won't happen, but one that would make me happy is a small Rand Corporation set. Would love just some stickers/printed tiles to build my own modular That is a good point. I started by buying only superhero sets when I found out I was going to be a dad (didn't own a LEGO set in my life before then). Realised that we needed some buildings as the superhero line is vehicle centric, so bought some modulars and some Friends sets for building parts. Then got some Star Wars and Harry Potter sets for filling the scenes. I then either bin/sell/give away the HP/SW/Friends parts that I am not interested in Depends how they are displayed. Some of the modulars are very easy to modify into NYC styled buildings and then there is also Firehouse. I think it is a good start for a NYC styled display. Personally, I think it would make a nice change from seeing everyone's own city with the same 12 modulars. I am busy building my own "Brick York", so have had to modify some of the modulars into a more NYC style, but have skipped on a very large portion of them as they are just too European city styled.
  5. Or a Spider-lair with all the Spidey vehicles in one set Just kidding of course. There are so many D2C options - Oscorp, Baxter Building, Avenger's Mansion, Avenger's compound, Stark Tower, Sanctum Sanctorum, X-Men mansion, Triskellion, The Raft... There could also be an apartment style building with Alias Investigations and Nelson & Murdock law firm on the ground floor. Saw that the price of the Bugle is $30AUD and $50NZD cheaper than similar sets when compared to USD. With 25 minifigs that makes this set better bang-for-buck than we normally get. I'll be staying up until midnight next week Wednesday to get my hand on this masterpiece Definitely glad that this came up. Personally, never have minded when we don't have leg and arm or arm printing. As long as the torso, head and molds have been accurate I could easily be enticed by new figs. Also explains why we have so many repeats of Batman and Spider-man, I even mind those less knowing this now.
  6. @CreeperBrix - this ^. When you compare US price we do pay a premium compared to a lot of other territories. Moreso in NZ. Will still get day 1, but wish pricing was better.
  7. Most likely around $530AUD. Prices seem to convert better for Aussies than Kiwis, but still overpriced unfortunately
  8. Thank you. Had wondered why they picked red. They always seems to be black on TV/in the movies Wholeheartedly agree Exactly. Also, if they are reuse a fig that you own you can sell the fig to recoup some of the cost of the set. Spider-Man has fought both Black Cat and The Punisher. The Punisher and Daredevil often clash. I'd happily trade any spots out to have these two included. Would love a number of other villain's to be included too, but think what we are getting is already the best Marvel set for me to date. Again, flip side is that I don't have to buy another spider bike/truck to get those. Was going to Bricklink Doc Ock and Sandman, but now I don't have to. So this is a win for some of us collectors. If the set sells well I think it likely that we'll see something else in the next year or two with some of the sought after villains
  9. Same July for New Zealand. Toyworld has it on their order form as then. Was going to be available last month, but was pulled when the movie was rescheduled.
  10. My thoughts too. I've had to order a few sets from oversees before because we never got them in NZ. There are sets that also get released in Europe that never made it (Bricktober, X-Men Sentinel), so waiting for a few months but at least getting them without shipping costs is great, let alone discounts...
  11. He is a sorcerer. He doesn't have a hat
  12. Same in New Zealand. They were going to be available for retailers to order late last month, but seems that they got pulled at the last minute when the movie was rescheduled. The IS series will be available here in July from what I have been told.
  13. Lol. Only bought the original a few months ago. Will depend on minifigs whether or not I pick it up
  14. Advent calendar won't be revealed until August I'd say. Unlikely to see any leaked minifigs or pics until later as well. I think the Sanctuary II is included in this wave, so should see those pics when revealed if I am not mistaken.
  15. Personally don't think you have anything to apologise for. You made a general comment about the comments in the thread, and I had the same thoughts about how quickly the mood of the forum can change based on a single pick. Didn't see where you attacked or slammed anyone's opinion, so think your comment is being read into more than it should. Exactly! There may be one or two minor changes that would have been better, but once we can see the minifigs we may have a change of mind
  16. My local toy store said that they sold as well as the other series. They have some of the older CMF bags left, but DC all sold out. I'd wait and see what LEGO does in the end. It wasn't advertised that they were being made available in New Zealand, so hadn't anticipated them being released this week. Sold out in hours too, so waiting for the next order. Just picked up the police station and some of the road plates I found lying around in a local store, so don't mind waiting a couple of weeks as I at least now know it will be in stock again soon.
  17. This is already my all-time favourite set. This is the best line-up I have ever seen for a comic book based set. The bridge battle and original DBC were great, but this is just next level. Reporters are easy to do custom mocs of. Really don't mind the repeats. For me the biggest disappointment is the Marvel CMF. Glad we are getting Sam Wilson Captain America. Pleased about Monica and Peggy. Just feel that there are so many other MCU characters that have been missed that zombie cap and a few of the others are wasted slots. When I heard we were getting the CMF I had considered a box, but will now settle for just a single copy, and I'll pick up doubles of a couple of the figures. What If... is not MCU canon, and afaik there are not strong comic book roots for it either, at least not based on the comics I have read, and what I know about the characters. Please do correct me if I am wrong
  18. Agreed, first time I have skipped whole pages in this thread just in case some missed a spoiler thread. Personally I don't want to know any of the movie leak rumours. I like going into a movie not knowing what to expect.
  19. ### ME - MOVES IN NEXT DOOR ####
  20. In some countries it is. In New Zealand it is definitely illegal to sell it, and I've personally seen the police remove stock of off-brand blocks from a pop-up stall in a mall. IP theft and product counterfeiting is dealt with appropriately here.
  21. Would be great to find out, but Afaik LEGO does occasionally skip set numbers and this might just be the case. Think there was one missing in the IW set number run (76106) that never appeared, and reasonably sure that wasn't the only time that's happened. I believe there are some sets that get pretty far down the development path that end up getting pulled, and that is why we have these "unallocated" numbers.
  22. Silver Sable and Elektra would round out my top 5 Marvel characters in LEGO form
  23. 3/4 Top favourite superheroes appearing in a single set. Still feels too good to be true, and 14 minifigs - that is awesome!
  24. How do we know which posts are April Fool pranks and which aren't? These seem to good to be true, so not buying into it unless it is confirmed tomorrow :P
  25. My DC Collection so far. No knock-offs or customs. I have a purist Smallville Clark Kent I created myself on the left-hand side. Sorry, don't know hot to embed Insta pickshttps://www.instagram.com/p/CNHUC7FJ0fU/
