  1. I can't guarantee it's safe / it'll work. Sorry. :-/ I'm using 30
  2. yeah. I've got so many Sets smelling like attic AND smoke, all together little town sets (up to 50 parts each). I can't get that done, so I decided to wash the new sets I've bought and to do the rest when I'm retired... X-D
  3. I can understand that, but nothing ever happend - up to the present ;-)
  4. thanks! You're right BUT usually I've waited so long (an hour!) for the bricks to be washed, so I'm really impatiently and want to build the new model as fast as possible. X-D
  5. Hi! Reminder: this is my first review and english is kind of a foreign language to me, so be kind! Thanks! *sweet* Okay, that's what we're talking 'bout: #1. The Box: Front: Back: Open with parts: Open Styrofoam! That
  6. Okay, I recieved, washed and build the 8848. Now I shall show the cleaning-process of 8828 and 8848: #0. WARNING! - You might lose some parts in your washing machine if the knot's not firm or your bags got holes! - You might melt your bricks if you wash them too hot. (I suppose.) - You might destroy electric or pneumatic parts and stickers! Wash those bricks by hand. - You might get CLEAN bricks. #1. Prepare a pillow case or a woolen bag. WITHOUT holes! #2. Fill in the bricks. Remember: Not too much, so the bricks can move easily while spinning. #3. Tie a knot. Remember: the bricks should move easily while spinning. #4. Assure that there
  7. Arvo works a lot with those new and "superfluous" slopes: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=127268 and IMHO he's ingenious. EDIT: if we'd get more slope corners, there's got to be a fitting corner for every slope brick until now. And that would make even more slopes. Or am I just thinking to complicated? ^^
  8. I use monorail supports. Since I got four 6921 Monorail Accessory Tracks when I was young. I tried nylon too but I didn't really trust it.
  9. I don't really know how many characters can you write in your feedback? I think he had to shorten it. But I agree. I always try to remain polite and when I'm disappointed or something like that, I'll wait with the feedback.
  10. ahh, sehr gut... verywellverywell... Strictly speaking I don't own a washing machine too. But my mother does... :-) I'll recieve the 8848 Power Truck tomorrow and I expect it will feature a lot of dust, so I could record the washing process if you're interested!
  11. all three: dust, lack of space and (my) hair... :-/
  12. I use the washing machine. put all bricks into a pillowcase (not to much), tie a knot and one hour with 30
  13. welcome to eurobricks! X-D <german_mode_on>gibs da noch mehr
  14. maybe you need a few thousand posts to become an Eurobricks Grand Duke, and everyone with a few thousand posts is already a mod or something mod-like...? Just a guess.
  15. I set up the camera on a fixed place (tripod) and every photo i put the three 8880s elsewhere and merged them on the computer. So I've achieved kinda correct shadows and the right proportions.
  16. because they really are. it should add more realism... does it...? 8-| ;-)
  17. hi! I never really liked the look of 8865 but I loved the alternate model. Sadly it's a really cut-off model (featuring nothing but a steering and suspension) so I modified it. What I've done: - Build in a V6-Engine (just like the V4 of the main model) - Build in a gearbox (only 2 speeds because of the lack of space) - Build in a non-necessary extra suspension - Only used parts that were available at the time of the 8865 from above: underneath: the engine: the gear change: the ultimate suspension X-D engine, gearbox, suspension (I hope you can recognize something!) the same. This was a real challenge, because I run out of space and had to use unnecessary gears and axles. (a 7-piece Link Chain just to get from one 8-toothed gear to another, for instance... :-| ) I hope you enjoy it!
  18. I own 3 8880s. One from my childhood and two later from eBay. (couldn't resist :-/ ) You might recognize the 3 different 8880s: - the left mirror of a 8880 is turned false (it's on every third because I didn't notice) - a 8880 features adjustable seats - the alternative model I'm glad to see you enjoy it!
  19. thank you! I've skimped a little bit... yeah ;-) but photopaint (which I am using) nearly died after every action and I didn't have much patience...^^
  20. hi! since I found out that the 8880 is one of my absolute favorites, I decided to buy every 8880 I found on bricklink. you'd better not believe it for it's just a nice introduction to the pic: ;-) so once again: it's photoshopped! Maybe I'll upload a 3264x 2448 version of the pic so you can see the more "detail" and a few mistakes. so, what do you think? EDIT: I've uploaded a 3264x 2448 version: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/BerndDas...s_3264x2448.jpg
  21. i just received the 8844 i bought on eBay: 10EUR (~15USD) in perfect condition...! And it didn't smell like smoke or attic or anything :'-) :-| it took me kinda long to build cause those old instructions are very... uh... need getting used to - but that enhances the building fun!
  22. so they could used less bricks...?
  23. lol, the things you can declare "precious" if you're prominent... (nobody cares for my LEGO computer I've build as a child... :'-( :-P ) at first I thought this thread was about the LEGO-google-lego yesterday...
