    When the toy shop was re released there was an interview with one of the designers and I’m sure he said something about whoever designed the train wanted more time on it. I’m sure it was that they came up with a better idea for it or something like that and the lego team were happy enough that the decision was either no release that year or do a re-release. I could be wrong it was a long time ago now

    Yes the Town Hall is definitely missing from this series. I would be gutted if they do a police station unless maybe it drew inspiration from a rural village police station cottage. If so I would want it to come further down the line. Fire engines have always been a big part of xmas where I come from and you would never go to a xmas fair or watch a xmas parade without it being one of the main attractions. So for me it was an essential build to my village. Is anyone else thinking of getting the new Harry Potter Hogsmeade set just to get an inn?

    I think I might be wanting to buy more than 1 of these sets. So cute and you can never have enough accommodation for all the elves living in the North Pole. Still don’t get why it’s 18+ but hey ho

    Thank you!!! You’ve put my mind at ease. Phew ? Fingers crosses for a reveal tomorrow but at least we know we are going to have a new WV set coming. I think I would be stressing about now if we hadn’t seen that image. Love those brick built baubles especially the reindeer. The Xmas Carol book is also one to hopefully get!

    Can anyone help? I brought a Nightmare Before Xmas Jack off ebay and just wanted to double check he’s legit? It’s just that he partly came in a transparent sealed bag and then put inside a zip lock bag. Is this normal? His fabric cape thing and base plate were separate. I’ve brought the kids sealed minifigure blind bags In past and don’t believe I have ever seen Lego use transparent sealed bags inside the blind bag before. I just want to double check before it’s too late to take up with the seller/ eBay

    Yea I watched a video with the designer of the Re released toy shop saying that Lego wanted more time on the one that should have been released that year. ? wonder then which Lego set that was - the WV train?

    Ok now I’m scratching my head as to why it’s an 18+ set? Seems an odd target age especially seeing as Lego targeted families over the last couple years with this theme and its elves??? Or are they drunk elves ?If we turn the set around we will see elves having far too much fun inside their clubhouse

    Thanks Robert8!!! Love what I can see and have to say that Xmas tree looks awesome! Is it made with Lego Dots? Bravo Lego, bravo Why are people so cut up over box art being in black? Not a moan, just curious. Was in Smyths other day and me n the other half thought the black boxes made the Lego sets a lot more appealing but this doesn’t seem to be the case to a lot of Lego fans and just wondered why?

    Cheers Blackpool and Robert8 for that. Will this be available in the uk? It says USA/ Canada. Don’t want to get my hopes up. That tractor is super cute! I presume those are stickers and not printed bricks? I wish Lego would make a sticker application thingy me bob machine. I’m thinking ? Lego technic bricks and some Gaffa tape. Not sure what you would use the Gaffa tape for, but I feel it always comes in use ?

    Can I be a pain and also ask what the Halloween set is? I have the Monsters Haunted House which I make up for Halloween with some cmf trick or treaters and was hoping to add a bit more to the scene. Thanks

    Ooh thanks for sharing TerriXeri. Well that’s another advent door sorted - build a fort! Can I ask what a Club Penguin is? Also Not that I mind if our WV set this year is an Elf Clubhouse as my scene is set in the North Pole but I’m still struggling to believe it is going to be one. What does an elf clubhouse entail? If you forget the elf bit for a moment what is a clubhouse? I googled pictures and saw lots of golf/ spas/ restaurants etc. I then googled German Clubhouse and it translates to Klubhaus or something like that and that brings up hut, cottage, lodge, shack, pavillion. I know it’s probably me being crazy hoping here but Lego have just released that butter beer glass for the HP cmf. Could we dare to hope we might get that accessory or are they limited to the cmf? I was thinking a cute little lodge restaurant hotel??

    ? never thought to even try that doh. Ok here goes... P.S thanks for sharing ? I loved the detectives office. Is it as good in real life as in the pictures? Hmm ? maybe don’t answer that I will probably just sigh with regret. I haven’t brought any of the modulars even though they look absolutely beautiful I think I would be ridiculed by my friends. The first set I brought myself was in fact the WV toy shop. Year my daughter was born and decided it would be something for her, never realising it would then turn into a tradition. One I hope continues nudge nudge Lego ?

    Thanks for sharing the pictures. I tried to see if they had any and came up short. Is that a teleport in the one pic?! Absolutely love it!!! Yes I have loved reading everyone’s response and sharing their stories. I have to say I was really scared to ask as I’m pretty new to forums I wasn’t sure if anyone would even respond so I’m really grateful to all of you. Thank you ☺️

    Hilary ‘Harry’ Fisher Page does in my eyes deserve credit. Can you honestly say that we would have the adored Lego brick without him? He spent years observing children and working on the idea of the building brick. It was HIS brick that was shown to the Lego founder “look what kind of things you can make if you buy one of my plastic injecting machines” (NOT a direct quote). Lego founder loves it and decides to buy a machine and make them despite them having a patent on them and being someone else’s idea. Both men sell the bricks under their companies but find they still need ‘tweaking’. Harry Page eventually takes his own life and I think the man who sold the injector machine told Lego how to fix the problem. Yes Lego then brought the patent years later and have given us years of enjoyment with the better design but we would not have Lego bricks in our life if it wasn’t for a man with a dream from England. I genuinely think he should get some form of a thank you from all of us.     Right I need a bigger table...the fish tank is going to have to go. That was just beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing. Loved the ice rink and well everything else too ?. Wonder how they made those trees. It just looked so magical

    Wow I wasn’t sure if anyone was going to respond. I have really enjoyed reading everyones posts. I’m a little jealous, I had intended to build the village with my family but with so many birthdays in December and the in-laws coming over there is never enough time. The year before last I had a go at making my own advent calendar for my son to add scenes in the WV like ‘the villagers are having a snowman competition’ and he builds all the snowmen or ‘it’s time to pick out the tree’ and he builds the Xmas tree stall. It went down a treat but it was last minute so I was having to practically come up with something for him to build the night before. I had planned to perfect it for last Xmas but then the HP advent came out so I just got him that in the end. Thank you CDM for your suggestion I shall look into them. I’m still holding out for a big ice rink that the ice skaters magically skate on using magnets ? I know I can dream ahh what’s with the big font??? How do you change font sizes ?
