There’s actually some really awesome stuff in that book- I might make a vast majority of them- there seems to be a lot of stuff that I doubt will be made into sets, stuff that haven’t been made into sets yet and stuff from scenes that are too minor to warrant a set, as well as decoration builds and even builds of stuff we already got. im definitely planning to build the privet drive- along with the cupboard under the stairs build and combine it. I also want to make the flying lesson area of hogwarts- it seems to be somewhat large using a smaller amount of pieces - and looks good! I’m definitely going to make the entrance to diagon alley- (not too sure about the shops)- the gringotts vault would be nice to make along with the entrance to the chamber of secrets, and MAYBE fluffy. I’m in love with the gryffindor common room build- such as the beds and fireplaces etc, so I’m going to build them for sure. as for stuff we already got, there’s the entrance to the great hall, the staff table, and dumbledore’s plinth- and it looks very good, I’m considering it. this book has made me so much more excited- I’m always looking for news on new Harry Potter sets, but this is basically a book full of new Harry Potter sets, some of the builds there qualify for a set- at a £5-£40 price point- and I sort of treat them as sets, even if they’re just moc ideas or small builds- it really does seem like a book full of new Harry Potter sets that I can get by ordering the pieces. it is unfortunate just2good skimmed through limited pages- but I’ll still be getting the book for sure

But Also - it took Lego Star Wars, what, 11 years to get an advent calendar ? And whilst you could argue that Harry Potter has been going since 2001 I’m counting this as a reboot, so actually only took HP 2 years ???

Yeah yeah yeah the calendars great- now tell me about that record! jokes aside, I think it looks spectacular, I love the founder of hogwarts Minifigure, made better by the podium he is on, really gives me nostalgia for the old Harry Potter sets where we’d get a knight on a podium in the hogwarts sets. i love the decor, the fireplace, the banners- they can be scattered throughout- maybe a little Gryffindor common room to be made in addition to the one we got. the Christmas trees can be further used to flesh out the Yule ball scene- or even combined with the presents day to give a Christmas scene again in Gryffindor common room at Christmas. by far my favourite decorations are Harry’s trunk with book and letter- looks really nice, along with the chess table, definitely going in the great hall. Harry and Ron look fantastic, great variations to add to the collection. Great to get dumbledore again, since it’ll ge a while till we get a Richard Harris dumbeldore again- mcgonnagoll, yeh very nice, the dress piece would have been great but hey ho. Disappointed by the flitwick, I’d wrongfully promised myself a years 1-2 variant, but hey it’s a new print for the torso and a new variety of a character. The Hermione looks amazing. Overall im glad we’re getting so many variants of characters- even minor characters like fleur and Madame maxime and flitwick. Super excited.

It was very exciting at fhe time aha, but they were boring compared to the series we actually got, but as @Lego-Freak said, the Dursleys, the four house ghosts, and Harry’s parents among others- I do think the dursleys and more ghosts would be exciting tho!!

lol do any of you guys remember the OG rumoured Harry Potter CMF list- and none of them were in it, it’d be funny if we ended up getting a lot of them in the HP CMF 2 - I’d love a baby harry

But Luna, yes younger than the others, uses mid legs in the CMF and I reckon the other students will match that height

so- Year 1&2- short legs Year 3&4&5&6- mid legs year 7& older- regular legs Certain heights may be represented differently

Why are people saying Hermione and snape in the quidditch set is random- it was based on the first film where snape is supposedly cursing Harry’s broom (even tho we know it’s quirell) and then Hermione comes to the rescue. also thought of another HBP set that could go for £12, ‘harry vs Draco: bathroom battle’- you know the scene where they get their Wands out and harry makes Draco bleed, yeah. also if you put Gandalf the whites hair on the CMF dumbledore you get a good HBP dumbledore (give him a dark grey hand)

Her office is a must If you look at her costumes they’re different but also the 2007 Lego Umbridge is the other variant of costume without the cardigan - so the variant we could get is likely more akin to the 2007 variant probably with plain pink legs because I doubt Lego would do that insane print they gave us in the bricktober pack

I could only really see an astronomy tower set going for £60 at most, so it wouldn’t be that large of an extension Oh yeah lmao- completely forgot about those scenes, my comment is redundant then, but I do think hogsmeade should be left for when they revisit prisoner of Azkaban and have a big £120 set with honey dukes, three broomsticks, shrieking shack, some trees and benches etc Also what does everyone think about an Umbridge fig next year, I was lucky enough to get the bricktober pack for £18 on amazon thanks to you guys letting me know, but she has different costumes in that film e.g without the cardigan (like she has in the bricktober pack)

Whilst I’d love two full waves next year, I don’t think there are enough sets for each film to do that, in the first 4 films, each film has enough set opportunities to warrant a full wave + each, but for OOTP and HBP? - dementor attack (beginning of OOTP -hogwarts castle (for OOTP) - room of requirement - grimmauld place - ministry for magic - maybe department of mysteries if you want to split it up - the burrow (for HBP) - the astronomy tower (HBP) and that’s really it, unless you count weasleys wizard wheezers but that’s probably going to be in D2C diagon alley this is really only enough for a wave and 1/2

Do you guys reckon we’ll get fenrir greyback next year, or even at all in this reboot

Definitely- I do think that once this theme is inevitably retired, be it next year or in 5 years, the HP theme won’t come back again, so this is definitely the definitive versions of the these sets and Minifigures and so Collecting all the system sets is really important to me.

This rebooted Harry Potter theme to me is amazing- there are sets within sets in my opinion, I’ve displayed the whomping willow separately with Lupin, Sirius, snape and harry third year, it acts like an entirely different set, I’ve displayed the clock tower with harry third year, Hermione third year, ron third year, a couple dementors, Lupin, trelawny, Gambon dumbledore. It acts as an entirely different set. I’ve put the flying car with both the Hogwarts Express and the Aragog in the dark forest- you can essentially mix and match figures and sections of builds to make your own sets of different scenes from different movies and essentially youre getting 20+ sets rather than the 12 you’d have other wise and I think that’s fantastic. Idk that’s just how I feel

I already sold my diagon alley and hogwarts sets haha- for such a low price ?, but I shall head your advice and keep my burrow, thanks very much :)

I feel like such a fool- last year I sold my 2010 hogwarts+ 2011 hogwarts+ 2011 diagon alley for £300

19/20 forgot to include the D2C hogwarts for the Mirror of Erised by the way guys- I am debating whether to sell my burrow set, in the hopes that Lego make one in this reboot of the theme, as everything is better, can anyone give me advice as to whether I should, if so, how much for?

Does anyone else like those ‘corridor rooms’ they put in hogwarts castles? I’m a big fan of the HP Lego games and I like some of the designs there are and the feel of it, and I like some of the previous hogwarts where a room was just some stonework or even a statue, that being said I’d love to see: -library + maybe forbidden library -another classroom (maybe transfiguration) -slytherin common room -girls bathroom
