Thing is- with £350, you can either get ALL the system scale sets of this year, or JUST the D2C which is available longer- that’d being said, I don’t know about you guys, but I find it easier to cobble together £20 than £350 haha, so once I’ve saved up, I’ll be purchasing Diagon Alley, and then making my way down the sets in terms of most expensive first- since smaller amounts of money are easier to save up for as @Balrogofmorgoth said. also Diagon Alley is my favourite location after hogwarts ?
-
So June: the burrow grawp astronomy tower privet drive hedwig the room of requirement August: Diagon Alley CMF Advent calendar is there anything else besides brickheadz, because someone mentioned 3 sets coming in August but they may have included the CMF
-
I just rewatched the burrow attack scene from HBP and, Hermiones 2018 yr 1/2 hair in dark orange or light orange would work beautifully for molly, it would be very accurate in my opinion- I know others have said this before- just backing them up, I really hope they do that,

I would love for her to have an office in the astronomy tower, it would give me a place to put my bricktober variant. It’s the same issue I have with trelawny, I have nowhere to put Her, I hope at some point there’s a diviniations classroom in one hogwarts set installment. Luckily there’s a greenhouse for professor sprout. However the chances of there not being an umbridge office is baiscakky 100%- we would have hear about it if there was.
-
Ohh of course! My bad haha- still brilliant tho- that means the old one keeps its rarity whilst also providing a different variant, thanks for telling me :)
-
Pretty sure they new umbridge is also an update of the old umbridge variant, which means that desired fig has been updated now!
-
This looks absolutely wonderful! It’s really well built and accurate- I could definitely see something like this in a large hogsmeade set with a couple extra buildings and some benches and lamps etc. keep up the good work!
-
That’s a brilliant Christmas display! Always loved those Christmas sets, they all feel so comforting and merry and just warm and happy despite their snowy setting, always wanted the Santa’s grotto and winter village train sets- which you could swap out the train for and put the hogwarts express in, using he station as hogsmeade station! Looks brilliant tho!
-
You’re lucky if you have the winter village sets- it’s basically hogsmeade!
-
Thank you! :) I get exactly what you mean, it needs to be substantial for that price haha. But I’m glad it’s given you guys an idea of what it could look like and at the very least, something to talk about otter than otter puns haha. Thanks so much @sebastian666 it honestly means a lot to me :)) I foo am a big fan of the creator sets, and strongly believe it would work really well in this form as a scaled up version of the GWP, I aim to have it finished by the end of the week!
-
Thank you all so much for the support and encouragement guys, it really means a lot and it really helps, I feel good now. You’re all great people, and whilst we may argue a lot about stuff it all comes from a collective love of Lego and in this case Harry Potter. I’m grateful to be a part of this thread :)
-
Oop my bad! Been fixed now- At the moment it’s 4367 bricks- and I still haven’t done the roofs, second floor of QQS or completed gringotts, nor are there minifigures or accessories- so it’ll likely come to 6,000 in the end, which is almost definitely bigger than what we’ll get
-
Thanks so much! And yeah I get you, I’m personally afraid of judgement for my love of Lego, and I have to have an alternative Lego account because I know people my age will judge me for heavily liking and collecting Lego lol, gotta keep my Lego addiction private and contained haha.
-
There’s no point me trying to be mysterious lol, I made it but I’d love to hear your thoughts, this is how I’d like it to look personally! Thanks! And yeah as large as it can be would certainly be ideal- also yeah the pavement is actually really important :))

Someone’s posted pictures of what the D2C diagon alley could look like (in their eyes), made on LDD- it’s clearly still a work in progress. It’s on #legoleaks or @legocinematics
-
I don’t know much about logic, but this @sebastian666 guy... seems awfully wrong to me
-
Unfortunately @Balrogofmorgoth Is right
-
I really do not understand the people who are saying it was more likely to get the separate diagon alley shops and are surprised that there’s one big set- I think the majority thought that a diagon alley set would be one big set and not multiple separate shop sets- having multiple sets for it is such a backwards way of doing it, pretty sure not many people at all were surprised about diagon alley being one big set
-
Which doesn’t make sense because... Bruce Wayne is Batman
-
If we multiply the pieces of the original diagon alley by 5, take in to account the price of the original black seas barracuda, add $400- subtract $75, divide the 3 minifigs from the kingdoms castle, divide by 27, round to 15- and then look back to 1999 and add up all the pieces from the entire first wave of system Star Wars sets, while counting the total amount of minifigures in the entire Chima line and square root that, we can conclude... that Harry Potter will be in atleast one of the 2020 sets
-
Your setting yourself up for failure here son
-
It’s most definitely technic pins connecting the shops together so you can rearrange
-
Yeah it’d Be sick! But at the very least, that extra little alley- leading to it, would be cool and give a bit more depth.
-
Personally I’d like to see a bit of an alley way leading off from diagon alley, like in the micro scale DA, where the shops are all along one side, and one of the sections is an alley, with a printed knockturn alley sign, obviously it wouldn’t lead to anything, perhaps a possible knockturn alley set connection, but as well as that, some wanted fenrir greyback posters, some wanted Harry Potter posters etc on the alley wall. Of course the printed shop signs, personally I want to see gringotts, ollivanders, flourish and blotts, quality quidditch supplies and Weasley wizard wheezers with maybe a cauldron stand and pet stand outside a few shops. I think it would be cool to get some kind of printing for the wand boxes- not like 2011, the wands were never visible, but perhaps the boxes don’t need it, they’re pretty plain. I think some coins could have prints- books; who am I?, magical me etc. obviously there’s opportunity in the WWW for printed accessories.

Woah this is an epic fight
